The 2024 Shizuoka Hobby Show 2024 is currently taking place in Japan and Takara is present. It has unveiled the AMT line which is turning previous highly detailed and stylized model kits into transforming figures. The first one shown is AMT-01 Rodimus, which is based on Flame Toys Kuro Kara Kuri Rodimus. There will also be a Predaking coming in this line. Independently of all this, we also have a preview for a Leo Prime figure along with a first in hand look at the rerelease of MPM 3 Bumblebee in a more accurate, the upcoming exclusive movie Optimus Prime based on SS Crosshairs, MPG Super Ginrai and Missing Link Bumblebee and Cliffjumper.

Paramount had their panel at Cinemacon today and it looks included 2 Transformers projects. It was said, as confirmed on Cinemacon’s Twitter, that the Transformers GI Joe movie is in development. The only other detail we have is that Steven Spielberg is an executive producer, which has been the case for the previous Bay directed films.
Paramount also showed the trailer for Transformers One, which is confirmed to come out in September 13. Below are descriptions of what was shown from Discussingfilm.net. This trailer should be available to the public the 18th, as the rumour goes.
Exclusive Footage Description from CinemaCon 2024:
CinemaCon 2024 got to see the very first trailer from the new animated movie Transformers One. The story follows a young Optimus Prime, still known as Orion Pax (Chris Hemsworth), and his brother-like relationship with a young Megatron, known as D-16 (Brian Tyree Henry). The two robots do handy work together in the underground world of Cybertron, but their friendship grows shaky when Megatron wants to rebel and find out why no robots are allowed on the surface of Cybertron. Optimus reluctantly decides to help him figure out the truth behind this mystery because he can’t help but support his best friend, even if it may not be the best idea. The two decide to embark on a journey together to unravel the secrets of Cybertron, a journey that will eventually make them rivals.
The entire scene shown at CinemaCon 2024 focused on Orion Pax and D-16 breaking into a train facility with the help of the not-so-helpful B-127 (Keegan-Michael Key), soon to be known as Bumblebee. They are eventually caught by one of their Autobot friends on patrol, Elita-1 (Scarlett Johansson). Elita-1 tries to report them to the authorities for breaking in, which leads to a colorful chase as the train the group was looking for actually takes off and sends them all on a scenic trip across Cybertron. Orion and D-16 catch up to Elita-1 as it surprisingly reaches the surface of Cybertron, which leaves them all stunned in amazement. The surface of Cybertron looks beautiful with its galactic views and electronic landscapes, which leaves perplexed and asking questions as to why none of them are allowed to be up here.
Suddenly, a large cybernetic force appears in the distance, almost as if the surface of the planet itself is morphing into a monster with tentacles that doesn’t want anyone to see what the outside world has to offer. Orion reveals to Elita-1 that they have found the “Matrix of Leadership,” which is the reason why they want to uncover more of what the leaders of Cybertron are hiding. The footage then ends when we see the group try to escape from the monstrous force on the planet’s surface. There were also other significant bits of footage shown, like D-16 molding the first-ever Decepticon emblem from lava. The 3D animation is incredibly vibrant and sleek, with loads of color and fantastical designs on full display. Cybertron is full of other kinds of cybernetic creatures and landscapes, which all look gorgeous in this film’s animation style.
Transformers One looks like no other film from the series, even the iconic animated from the ’80s. Fans will be happy to know that Chris Hemsworth is almost unrecognizable as Orion, aka Optimus. It’s hard to tell that he’s voicing the role. Meanwhile, Keegan-Michael Key brings his comedic charm to B-127 and Scarlett Johansson brings strong resilience to Elita-1’s voice. Brian Tyree Henry, however, sounds the most exciting as the soon-to-be Megatron as he goes from sounding like a loveable brother to Optimus to a suspicious adversary on a dime. Their robot designs, which borrow various elements from the classic ’80s cartoon, the Transformers: Animated series from the late 2010s, and the fan-favorite War for Cybertron video games, all match perfectly with the respective voice actors.

There is another confirmation that the Transformers 1 movie comes out September 13 and it is revealed that there will be a Transformers themed episode of the Masked Singer. Over 40 distinct Hasbro TRANSFORMERS anniversary figures will be available across the year-long celebration. Each product packaging will be branded with the TRANSFORMERS 40th anniversary logo, including the recently revealed TRANSFORMERS Generations Comic Edition Shockwave and Grimlock figures. In March, Hasbro Pulse will kick off the 40th anniversary with a Hasbro Pulse Fanstream and weekly fan-focused content.
With the first robot figures “capable of disguising themselves as vehicles, planes, weapons, and communication devices” landing on shelves in April 1984, Hasbro set out to strengthen the TRANSFORMERS brand with multiple partner licensees. Fans can jam out with the TRANSFORMERS 40th anniversary vinyl album, ‘Hasbro presents Transformers: Music from the Original Animated Series,’ featuring music from 1984’s The TRANSFORMERS classic animated series (seasons 1-3). Originally released in 2019 with over 45 minutes of music, this reissue album includes bonus tracks and a mixture of remastered orchestral and ‘80s inspired synth tracks from the original tapes by composer Rob Walsh. The album will also be available digitally for the first time across all digital music platforms. Pre-orders open July 26.

Fans can tune in to a special TRANSFORMERS-themed episode during Season 11 of The Masked Singer, premiering this Spring on Fox.

When a YouTuber also gets to help set up the displays at a toy show it also comes with the perks of being able to handle figures early. That's what happened with Ben Custom Toys was able to work the Hasbro booth at Cybertron Con 2023 in Singapore this weekend giving us early access and our first look at the newly revealed Transformers Legacy United Origin Wheeljack. Surpassing expectations, Voyager Wheeljack does not appear to share any parts with the previous Deluxe Origin Jazz and for the most part seems to be on par with the previous Origins releases. As with the previous releases he's expected to be a Target exclusive, but an image of the box shared on Baidu appears to be a normal United box rather than Buzzworthy Bumblebee. The package also shows that much of the alt mode shell can be removed and probably isn't required to be hung off his back.

Ok, lots to get through. Hasbro gave Londoners a huge treat by giving them a first look at the first wave of 2024 Studio Series toys and Legacy Commander Magmatron. Hasbro has just revealed a large portion of the first wave of 2024's Studio Series figures at the current London show. These include:
Core Rumble from the opening of the Bumblebee movie, even though he was never seen.

Leader Megatron from the opening of the Bumblebee movie, even though he was never seen. He is a triple changer, as was rumoured, with both a ground and air mode.
Yup, you read that right, the Toddfather got the Transformers license from Hasbro. That's a pretty big deal given that they are the license holders for DC which was once held by Hasbro's biggest industry rival, Mattel. And now after all these years, toys from both Hasbro and DC will be in the very same toyline called Page Punchers.
Ok, so to rewind it back and give you all the info, the McFarlane toy company has been more mainstream than ever before, with them releasing a few lines found on toy aisles at the largest retailers in America. With the DC license, Mcfarlane has a subline called the Page Punchers line where a figure is releases with a comic. The figures are in both the 3 inch and 7 inch scale. And at the New York Toy Fair, it was revealed that the Page Punchers line in the 3 inch scale would now also have Transformers and GI Joe figures.
The ones showed at the fair (where no pictures were allowed) were Duke, Snake Eyes, Cobra Commander and Crimson Guard for GI Joe and Optimus Prime, Wheeljack, Megatron and Bumblebee for Transformers. These where also packed with IDW comics but it is unknown if that is just a placeholder comic as what was shown was not final.
As anyone still looking for some of 2015's RID toys on e-bay can attest, the original figure of a new Transformers character can become very expensive as the demand grows year after year. Hence why many fans have been looking forward to getting their hands on the Earthspark Nightshade figure, along with the need to simply own a toy of a character they like. Hasbro has finally officially revealed the final wave of Earthsaprk deluxes for this year, with preorders for Nightshade available on Pulse and Amazon. We have links below. You can also tempt your luck to find them at retail with them starting to appear at Walmart stores in the US.
In other Earthspark news, Hasbro revealed some new toys at the Toy Fair in New York. These are the Cyber Combiners which are similar to the crash combiners we had in previous lines. This time, it's a combination of an action figure of the human characters in an exo suit, combined with a transforming figure of Twitch or Bumblebee. You can see the photos below.

Celebrating the digital and streaming release of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts film on Paramount+, fans can visit the Petco Interactive Zone (58 11th Ave) for giveaways and photo opportunities with Optimus Prime, Optimus Primal and Mirage statues. Additionally, The Lodge: A Paramount+ Experience at Happy Does Bar in downtown San Diego (340 Fifth Ave) will be decorated with the film’s 90s-themed aesthetics and offer airbrush tattoos of Autobot and Maximal icons.
HASBRO BRANDS, PARTNERS, AND PINS: A SCAVENGER HUNT ADVENTURE
For the first time this year, Hasbro collaborates with licensing, publishing, and retail partners on a free pin scavenger hunt, allowing fans to collect pins featuring iconic Hasbro brands. Visit the Hasbro booth (#3213), offsite pop-up shop, and partner booth locations, including BOOM! Studios, Diamond Select, Entertainment Earth, Icon Heroes, Kotobukiya, Mezco, Skybound Entertainment, Super7 and Super Impulse to collect the 21 different pin designs while supplies last (quantities are limited). Magic The Gathering Panel, Blogatog Live: Saturday, July 22 at 6:30PM - 7:30PM | Room: 24ABC - Magic head designer Mark Rosewater presents this one-man program in which he re-creates his daily blog, answering the audience's questions about the making of the popular trading card game.
We had quite the pleasant stream today, filled with reveals of toys we had not seen well yet. Below is a list of the reveals along with the stream itself and images. There are annotations when appropriate. Some items will be available on Pulse today while others will be available for preorder thursday.Also, while you are on Pulse, check to see if the deals on their current sale interest you.
Deluxe Mirage, the face will be painted to be more accurate in the finished product
Leader Optimus Primal, will have a darker colour scheme to match the film but sadly comes with open mouth to match the earlier design given to the team. We were given a lot of reasons why this was a leader class toy rather than voyager class toy and it goes as such:
- Added articulation not standard in other classes such as fingers and butterfly joints, to reenact the chest pounding
- Minimal hollowness
- Extra accessories including 2 halves of the Transwarp key, two blades which connect to a fully poseable and segmented chain, and the battle axe for Optimus Prime (which could not be included with Prime at the voyager price point)
