It makes just as much sense to complain about not getting G2 or Beast Wars or any other line reissues, maybe more as most of Thrilling 30 was G1 updates. Why were you expecting any?

Oh, and there WAS that G1 Predaking reissue. Does that not count?

I feel better. Predaking counts. As for the others, I could see any of those being homaged in Thrilling 30 as well. I could see BW or G2 fans being pouty just the same.

That said, hope we get a mainstream Windbreaker (ZAP) out of that TFCC mold. That would make my G2 day complete.

Hey, I'm a BW fan, and I'd love an excuse to be pouty, but between Waspinator, Rhinox, the Starscream/Waspinator legends set (that was clever, Hasbro, that was actually quite wll played), and that Rattrap that I'm sadly too broke at the moment to buy... Well, I could say I was disappointed, but I'd be lying. Except about the "not having spare cash for Rattrap" part, that legitimately bums me out.

Predaking most certainly should count. He was even number "10 of 30" in the big list of 30 special toys.

Yeah, I forgot about Predaking #-o. But yes in an major anniversary year I had hoped we would have gotten a few more G1 reissues.

The last time Hasbro did a major reissue line was for the 20th anniversary which was a TRU exclusive. The figures sat, and sat, and sat some more. They couldn't be given away. This has happened time and again with every other reissue ("Classics" Soundwave, Perceptor, and Insecticons). For whatever reason they just don't sell.

Have to say it's odd. (Price might be an issue. Seems like TRU has the highest toy prices in town.)

But yeah, I've loved each of those... and made sure to purchase to show support, even though I had the Takara reissue. Can' have enough Insecticons, right?

Anyone know what the last reissue was, out of curiosity?

The resident Rewind... well, half of one

not sure if this is the right place to post this, but i just got a look at the Amazon.com listings for Arcee, Chromia, and Brainstorm. whats kind of distressing is that the release dates have them set for a 02/15/2015 release date. hope this is a mistake

No trust me, that's a third party seller's release date estimate, that's not amazon itself.

Not only are they a 3rd-party vendor, they're also scalpers. Notice they're charging almost double the retail price. I'd bet you anything they are not even legit retailers. They're going to buy the figures at retail and then resell them at inflated prices (i.e., scalping).

A lot of ebay and Amazon listings are over the top. One Hasbro Arcee cost just add a few dollars more, 3 Tomy fembots.

Thanks to the Offical Transformers Facebook page we get a look at some early design and concept sketches of the Fan Built Bot Windblade! Windblade has since been released (you can check out her galleries here) and has been given her own comic series by IDW which has ended but she still plays an important role in the ongoing Transformers comics. Check out the images we've mirrored below and remember keep your optics tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest in news and updates, plus the best galleries around!

Which one, the mohawk? Could just be her upper lip being a little too defined, but regardless, yeah that one just doesn't look right. That's a tough look for male bots to pull off too, unless you make it more of a head-fin or part of a helmet, which this clearly isn't since you can see too many fiddly workings in her outer cranium. The effect is just silly, because instead of making her look tough, it makes her head look too vulnerable to getting bashed in from the side.

As interesting as those unused designs are, seeing them all laid out in sequence does make the geisha look the soundest choice. No complaints about the final result from me.
