Hasbro is setting up their SDCC tables and a picture has surfaced from said event which shows the dates for their next big event after SDCC. it seems there will be a Pulsecon 2022. Last year, this was a 2 day streaming event where they revealed the Legacy line. There is lots to reveal this year still since we know that at SDCC all that is said to be revealed will be the upcoming wave of Legacy toys and a first look at the Earthspark toyline. So plenty left for next year's Legacy items, the SS line, the ROTB toys and more Earthspark.
The 2022 event will take place from September 30 – October 1.

Thanks to a heads up from
Nemesis Primal, we have news that the next Transformers Generations Selects figure may have just been revealed to us. This news comes courtesy of
Entertainment Earth, who is preparing for San Diego Comic Con and is teasing many of the exclusives for the convention. Among them is the transformers exclusive, who, while in a small and grainy look, appears to be the rumored blue Trailbreaker repaint AKA DK3, another member of the Diaclone repaint club. While we don't get a good look, it is enough of a tease to get our appetites up, and we imagine a full reveal will be happening very soon.
This figure will likely begin as a SDCC exclusive before ending up on other fan channels, as other SDCC Selects figure have in the past.
Check out the images below, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

It's been two years but the Tokyo Toy Show is finally back! And with it comes the Japan Toy Awards 2022 where Masterpiece Gattai Shouki has won an award in the "high target toy division" (according to Google translate). OK, so it actually lost the top grand prize spot to Bandai Spirits' over $700 GX-100 Gaiking set and it's more of a runner up "outstanding performance award" in that category, but they only give out four of those in each category so it's still an achievement! And it lets them stick a silver Japan Toy Awards logo on their website (as seen below) and possibly even the figure's box, though there probably isn't time for that on the first batch due out in less than two weeks.
The Tokyo Toy Show runs Thursday and Friday this week (June 16 and 17). If there's Transformers news to be found there you can be sure we'll be sharing it here on Seibertron!

Seibertron was part of a round table discussion with Hasbro a few days ago. Nothing new was revealed, it was just a question and answer period. Our question was to know if there would be more weapon multipacks but we got the same non answer though Hasbro did clarify that sometimes weapons that are not included with a particular character could be released down the line with another if there is room in the budget and tooling for it. For instance, we saw that with Core Class SS Ravage who had an accessory specifically for SS BB Soundwave.
One of the biggest points of discussion was the whole deal with
Hasbro releasing Siege Soundwave, which was plentiful, rather than the Netflix Soundwave which both had the G1 alt mode many fans wanted AND was only released as a Walmart exclusive at a higher price due to coming in a multipack. Well, Hasbro was very blunt and honest regarding this, it is due to the exclusive status of the molding. If new molding is released exclusively through a retailer, then that retailer has the rights to the selling of that toy and the tooling for a certain amount of time. Not all contracts are the same. For instance, Amazon had exclusive rights to the Kingdom Terrorsaur release/tooling but the time of that exclusivity was short enough that now Target owns the rights to selling that tooling since they will do that with the redeco coming soon.
But the time for
Walmart's exclusivity on Netflix Soundwave has not expired yet and we don't know when it will expire or if Hasbro intends on rereleasing it when it does. But at least now we know why Hasbro is rereleasing Siege Soundwave instead of the other Soundwave. We have images of the packaging below.
Speaking of the packaging, questions came up regarding the open box nature of the legacy line. This is where Hasbro clearly stated that
the legacy line is still designed with kids in mind and they product tested this line with kids. It turns out kids prefer the open box design over closed box. Also, Cybertron Metroplex was picked over other titan options for its appeal to kids. They said kids liked the idea of a big construction-type vehicle, it added to the coolness factor of the giant robot.
There was also acknowledgement of price hikes that are not confirmed to end, and of yellowing on toys, they are looking into that.
Finally, the question of
Menasor's Combiner Wars ports came up. Yes, they did use the same port system used in the Combiner Wars line, but it was done simply because it's a good system for partsforming and not for backwards compatibility.
It is only used in the leg segments and while people could attach legs from the combiner wars era, it will not be 100% sturdy.

Hasbro has 2 fan events back to back next Tuesday. Here is the Facebook invite page followed by the description:
https://www.facebook.com/events/1134181 ... f=newsfeed
Prepare yourselves for a BACK-TO-BACK Fan First Tuesday! Join the Transformers team at 11:00am ET on our YouTube channel as they take over the stream with franchise news and product reveals that are MoreThanMeetsTheEye! But that's not all - the PowerRangers team joins at 12:00pm ET with their own Morphinomenal reveals! And yes, there will definitely be pre-orders, so make sure you don't miss out!
Judging from past events, I'd warn any fan reading this not to have high expectations. usually, these events are used to showcase products that have already been leaked. The leaked products that have not been announced yet are leader Blitzwing and titan Cybertron Metroplex, so those may be shown.
Along with Blitzwing, we could also get reveals for the second wave of Legacy, which would be fun since those toys have not been shown yet.
While we have had leaks of the Rise of the Beasts toys, it would be surprising if Hasbro reveals them here since all ROTB toys released in 2022 are not made to target fans and are released in the Cyberverse line, which does not get reveals at events.
