The official Transformers Revenge of the Fallen website has been updated with some great news for a select few of us.
Apparently, there will be a free screening on April 29th, 2009 of the original 2007 Transformers film with a sneek peek look at the new trailer for Revenge of the Fallen.
According to Seibertronian tipster John Weaver, the 20 biggest markets will be getting the free screening and sneek peek. And thats not all, Entertainment Tonight will also be holding a costume contest for best dressed Autobot and Decepticon, so break out those TF Costumes if you're going to the screening.

Associated Press- According to the associated press, HASBRO's profits have fallen 47% in the first quarter of the year. In comparison, the nation's #1 toy retailer, Mattel only reported a 15% loss.
"We expected revenues to decline in the first quarter due to economic challenges, the impact of foreign exchange and retailers reducing inventory levels," said Chief Executive Brian Goldner in a statement.
In the U.S., Star Wars, Playskool, Nerf and board game sales were strong, but sales of Littlest Pet Shop, Transformers and Marvel brands declined. Internationally, Star Wars and Nerf sales were strong while Transformers and My Little Pony sales fell."
"Hasbro of Pawtucket, R.I., expects results to improve as the year goes on, since they have products tied to several movies this year, including "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen", "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" and "X-men Origins: Wolverine."
"Based on the strength of our product line, we believe the two most recent quarters will prove to have been the most challenging for Hasbro in this economic cycle," CFO David Hargreaves said in a statement."

Michael Bay has posted on his forums that the new "Revenge of the Fallen" trailer will be released with X-men Origins: Wolverine. Michael & Steven Spielberg sat down for a screening of a rough cut of the new Transformer movie and Spielberg said, "It's Awesome" and felt it was better than the 1st movie. Steven Spielberg sat next to me in a big 100 person theater at Sony today. There were 98 empty seats. The lights came up after we just watched my cut of Revenge of the Fallen. He turned to me and said
"It's awesome". He felt this movie was better then the first - and probably my best, who knows - at this point in a movie you start to lose your objectivity. I just hope the fans like it. I'm going to start putting it in front of audiences in a few weeks - no you are not invited, yet.
We have 60 days left. Let me tell you it will be a race to finish. It's 12 at night and we are still working here in the edit room. Everyone at ILM and DD are killing themselves right now, they are doing a stellar job on the effects. We also just finished our trailer which is coming out with Wolverine. Talk to you soon.

US and Canada HOME ENTERTAINMENT DEAL ON
HASBRO’S CLASSIC ANIMATED SERIES TRANSFORMERS AND G.I. JOE
Multi-Property, Multi-Year Agreement Includes My Little Pony Direct-to-DVD
Los Angeles, CA and Pawtucket, RI – Shout! Factory and Hasbro, Inc. (NYSE: HAS) today announced a multi-year, multi-property alliance to bring the original animated TV series THE TRANSFORMERS and the G.I. JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO animated series, along with MY LITTLE PONY Twinkle Wish Adventure to the home entertainment marketplace. The announcement was made today by Shout! Factory founding partners Richard Foos, Bob Emmer and Garson Foos, and Lisa Licht, General Manager, Entertainment & Licensing, Hasbro.
Under the multi-year agreement, Shout! Factory will be the exclusive U.S. and Canada home entertainment distributor for the original animated TV series The TRANSFORMERS and G.I. JOE: A REAL AMERICAN HERO DVD franchise properties, and a MY LITTLE PONY animated direct-to-DVD release.
“TRANSFORMERS, G.I. JOE and MY LITTLE PONY are three uniquely celebrated brands and are part of the American cultural fabric,” stated the Shout! Factory founding partners. “Given the breadth of Hasbro’s toys, games, television and live-action feature films, we are thrilled with this premiere alliance and to be able to bring these timeless original animated series and new titles to multiple generations of fans.”

Shout! Factory plans an aggressive rollout of these Hasbro titles later this year utilizing the same sales and marketing strengths that has made them one of the leading independent DVD suppliers in the home entertainment industry.

Shout! Factory has released some new information regarding the upcoming release of Season 1 of the G1 Transformers. Not only will we be getting the first season in June, but it appears we will have the opportunity to purchase the entire series at once in a box-set this summer as well. Also, they will be releasing the 1980's G.I. Joe Cartoon series which will make alot of us happy. Check out the entire story by clicking the link here:
