We can't say Hasbro makes Insecticons without the Deluxe ones in mind: first Chop shop out of T30 Shrapnel, then of all bugs Venom out of CW Bombshell which ended up unused. I can see history repeating here.

I'm perfectly happy with my Legends Insecticons, even better if Ransack does get made out of Legacy Kickback he'll scale to them like the G1 originals did.

btw Doesn't G1 Cartoon Menasor use an exo-skeleton, like on the outside, instead of an endo-skeleton like us humans?

Stunticons are arthropods confirmed

Kickback doesn't look half bad. The twin swords are a nice addition.

I guess you're right. Exo-Skeleton, with some cars as shoulder pads and shin guards. In other words Menasor as a Lacrosse player.

The problem with the "cartoon accuracy" argument with Menasor is that he does also appear as a proper combiner in the cartoon.



The "cars on top of Morormaster's limbs" depiction is just an animation error. You might as well make a toy out of this:

I don't know, that's why I thought Motormaster would be the entire truck, and the others would be attached to him just like in G1, where the arm limbs attached to his arms and the leg limbs attached to the lower parts of his legs, making him taller. His upper body can be reconfigured to make Menasor bulkier once the limbs are combined.

Or will he be like Ultra Magnus or Powermaster Prime where the trailer only comes into play when he's upgrading to Menasor, but the cab will be the base bot? I mean, if he was the entire truck, that would make Motormaster by himself larger than a leader, so I doubt that will happen. This is why I dont get why he's commander class. The only thing justifies that is a voyager plus accessories. But then he's not a real update, just another version of the CW figure.

Trailer also has a base mode (homaging the G1 base mode), so it comes into play in all 3 modes.

And Rodimus Prime, now I see where you are getting at, with the Menasor mode using Motormaster's limbs as the base for the combiner limbs. That technique has good potential, we'll see what it ultimately is.

Sorta, the other combiners got really square and hid the leg kibble behind the legs, unlike the toys who had the kibble on the front.

I'm honestly not sure how I feel about the "limbs attaching to a skeleton" design of Menasor. From a thematic standpoint it's stupid, like what's the point of being a combiner if just Motormaster can form the entire main body?

On the other hand, it's a much better idea for a modern toy, since I imagine that Legacy Menasor is probably going to be much more stable and posable than the CW Combiners, since it's just the limbs attaching onto a specially designed frame.

I won't get him because I hate Menasor specifically, but I'd be excited to see a Legacy version of a different combiner like Defensor.

Something something transformation purity something something too much cartoon accuracy. Gimme a break. If the figure looks great in the end, what does it matter?

Personally I don't really see any difference between attaching a car to a frame and having to plug hands and feet into cars. They're all faking it, it's still a combiner in my book. And it's just the arms that this is going to be noticeable on, I doubt Hasbro cares about cartoon accuracy quite as much as that KO does and puts fake shins on him. As for the arms, the car-facing side of the arm is going to be the hollow side for sure, it will not look good or complete without the car attached.

Earthrise Arcee looks good in bot mode and car mode, but is also hailed a one of the worst transformers in recent memory. So I guess things do matter to some people regardless of how it looks.
