We posted the official Seibertron.com gallery of Transformers Generations Legends Acid Storm and Venin not too long ago, but you might want to take a look at the figure 'in motion' - look no further, as fellow board member chuckdawg1999 offers a video review of the Starscream and Waspinator repaint set, embedded below!

I'll keep this brief, Venin isn't that great and rather floppy. Acid Storm is gold. Great mold, fantastic colors, why aren't you ordering this figure now?

The official Takara Tomy Transformers Legends (AKA Generations)website has updated their figures page to introduce their upcoming releases of Voyager Class Brainstorm and Legends Class Swerve and Tailgate. No full size images are available at this time, but the thumbnails should be more than enough to keep us wanting more.

Swerve and Tailgate both have considerably darker decos in contrast to Hasbro's versions. There are also additional paint apps and tampographed sigils that the US versions do not feature. Not to be left out, Brainstorm sports a far more detailed deco, compared to the US version. Bringing out details not covered by Hasbro's current offering.

We've mirrored the thumbnails below:

His backpack, which controls the gun transformation, is very loose causing nothing to line up right and the plastic, which was soft to begin with, is really soft now.

ah. I keep forgetting how wiggly that backpack rig is. It makes for a really cool gun, but it's a far cry from a stable structure for reliable reproduction. I think blazemaster is my current personal fave (I haven't got swerve or cosmos yet, so I don't have those two to compare.) but I am a bit sad this targetmaster didn't work out. also wish hasbro would use these little gimmicks more or I lived in japan, because I'm a sucker for targetmasters and arms microns

Now those are definitely the stuff of TakaraTomy! Guess all the pics we saw of them previously really were just stock photos of the Hasbro versions.

However, these new decos strive for toy-accuracy, making them less fiction-accurate than the Hasbro versions.

Resellers, gotta love'em. One of the reasons why one should not shop amazon unless well-informed.

I got my Windblade at roughly $19.00 from my local TRU. These prices are highway robbery.

Thank you for that comparison! That's enough to make me preorder from HLJ instead of the Hasbro version. So much more detail, and not that much more expensive. The designer really outdid previous releases with this. I daresay it's even better than the various 3rd Party efforts out there. Sometimes it pays to be patient. :D

Oh man, that stinks to hear. The clear blue campaign version of that mold is the same way, but I was hoping this one would be a bit better :(

Fellow fan and Seibertron.com board member cdavid3 has found both Acid Storm (along with his partner Venin) and Gears (and his partner Eclipse at Target in Fremont, CA! And that's not all, he also found Jetfire at his local Toys R Us, also in Fremont!

He included images with each find, which you can see below:

There's at least one more reset for the year, especially around Christmas time. I think that's when we'll see these en masse.

We have been seeing reports that the two new Protectobots Emergency response and Evac Squad had been released in Malaysia. While that is awesome for fans in Malaysia, Amazon.com has your hook up for those who can't hop a plan to Malaysia to pick up this set. Well you can at least order half the set with a new pre-order by Amazon for the Protectobots Emergency Response set which features First Aid from Transformers Prime Deluxe Ratchet, Groove from Transformers Prime Cyberverse Arceeand Streetsmart from Transformers Prime Deluxe Prowl. The set is $32.99 with an October 1 release date. Hopefully the Protectobots Evac Squad will follow suit. Click the image to see the pre-order.

No team covers more ground in less time than the heroes of Protectobots Emergency Response. Wherever danger strikes, the team is there in the blink of an optical sensor. Their primary mission: protect the people of Earth from threats they cannot face alone. And if that gives the team a chance to blast some Decepticons while they're at it, all the better. Roll to the Transformers rescue with the Emergency Response pack! These Protectobot Streetsmart, Groove and First Aid figures are ready to handle whatever threatens innocent bystanders. Your Streetsmart figure converts from robot to helicopter mode, while your Groove figure converts fast from robot to fire truck mode. Your First Aid figure converts to ambulance mode, but he’s still ready for a fight with the swords on his bumper. They’ve all got weapons for combat if the rescue turns bad! Your rescue adventures will never be the same once you have the Emergency Response Pack! Transformers and all related characters are trademarks of Hasbro.

If these had more G1-accurate decos, I'd be all over them since I already have Generations Hot Spot (Inferno redeco) and Blades (Cybertron EZvac redeco). These don't look anything like the G1 characters, so I'll be passing.

Great news; this was the set of the 2 releases I was waiting for.
I already had GDO Hot Spot and Universe2.0 Blades and don't mind the aesthetic change with the Prime molds being used.
Hopefully this looks as good in hand as I expect.

The existence of these Asian Protectobots set feels like some attempt by Hasbro to hold on to these names, so as to keep using them later on, potentially in Combiner Wars. After all, these names were going to be used on the Bot Shots Protectobots set, but that set got canceled, so these new sets feel like a means to make up for that loss to prevent loss of the names before the time comes for Hasbro to really use them.

It's too bad the Kreon trademarks don't apply to the non-brick toys, given how they made most of the G1 combiners already.

This is an EASY pass for me. That they're not even remotely close to their G1 decos is my biggest gripe. If they'd given First Aid a red head, Streetwise a white one and painted Groove black and/or gold, I'd be half-tempted to order it.

As it is, all I see is a patriotic TF:Prime Ratchet and Prowl, and even though the boxart is modified, I still can't unsee Arcee in Groove.

I'm foolishly disappointed First Aid didn't at least get a new head, since he was the one I was hoping most for (I currently have the regular BH Prowl as my Streetwise and Galaxy Force Gasket Police-type as Groove alongside my GDO Hot Spot; I'm trying to get the Universe 2.0 Blades).

Still...I KINDA want the Arcee!Groove (Geecee?) since I collect femmebots...decisions...

Crosscut, no drone but otherwise an awesome mold.

Jhiaxus................great retool. He really looks and comes out good. Reminds me of a grumpy old Sunstorm.

Windblade...........limited (accepted fact) in that to render a fembot, there's sure to have lots of empty spaces. She can't be blocky etc. But to squeeze all that girly ness in a Voyager and still be functional and look good.........Amazing. Plus like Jhiaxus, still manage to include functional landing gears! Amazing!

I wonder how Tomy will implement her face paint if eventually released in Japan?

You meant Windblade into a Deluxe, right fenrir72? ;)

I like the figure, overall. I get the distinct feeling that the toes were intended at one point to fold more into the fuselage of the plane. But, all-in-all, I like the way it came out. I wish my tail stayed together a bit better in alt mode. Might have been a good idea to have a peg and hole near the tip...

My bad.........DeLuxe. :HEADHURTS: I'm quite amazed that Hasbro managed to stick all her features in such a weeeeee body.

Also, Windblade's fists can be rotated in her sockets. Not ball jointed of course but Hasbro couldn't do that for Jetfire or even collapsible rear gears? Just razzin' Jetfire of course.

Thanks to Seibertron.com member chachipower for pointing us in the direction of a video review of particular interest. This time we bring to you a video review of generations Chromia by you tube reviewer rocketpuncharmy! Generations Chromia is a redeco and a retool of Transformers prime RID Arcee. I think the reviewer was going for some entertainment to lighten the review. I've done it plenty of times in mine. I thought it was rather funny with the sound effects.

But several of the "x of 30" toys were Asia-only releases, some exclusive to Hong Kong conventions and events.

These two sets were exclusive to the Transformers Asia Kids Day event (whatever that was).
