I did find velocitron here but I was lucky since there was only one and I haven't seen it since.

It comes out to the same price if you buy it full price in Canada so might as well keep your bbts preorder.

NO WAY NO HOW!
Because you'll be stuck paying CUSTOMS for sure. Meaning on top of expensive shipping and exchange rates, you are SURE to be busted at customs and having to pay both taxes PLUS a 10$ "handling fee".
I say hunt in store, find it, pay it, then cancel the pre order. Only if you miss out completely on the Canadian release should you import it.

Not that easy. BBTS is releasing this set any day now so if it gets released before he finds it in stores then he has to pay the BBTS price. And yeah, if ou get cuaght by customs you pay more than finding it in stores. However, if you dot get hit, its about the same price.

I'm just going to wait and ship it later I'm in no rush to get them as long as I do have them because besides those small "prime" masters and couple of legends like Beachcomber I'm not going to be buying generations once Titans Return is over since I'm only in it for the headmasters.

Unfortunately, any purchases over 50$ or something from BBTS is SURE to be hit by customs. That's why the only purchase I did from them is years is for some junk on clearance that was worth below 15$US.

I think in total it comes to $180 in total Canadian including shipping but I'm going to pay shipping much later so right now it's about $130.
I payed $200 to get Godbomber and Lio Convoy so really this isn't much for me.

Dude, you gotta learn about those Japanese stores which buy directly from Takara. I too got those but they came out to about half that all together, no joke.

Yeah I learned my lesson every other Takara product I have on preorder is from those stores don't worry but thanks for letting me know!
I just get exclusives from the place that sells them.
Since this is the Canadian Transformers thread is there anywhere I could get wave three Megatron and the wave 4 deluxes? I never saw Megatron in stores once and I passed over the wave 4 deluxes thinking I could pick them up later I do have Topspin though and I just bought Twintwist and they look great together!

TR deluxes are a nightmare to hunt down in Canada. It's always the same early waves. Never saw a Kup ever in store.
As for voyager Optimus and Megatron, those were "Walmart Exclusives". Never saw them at TrU. Bought Megatron but after a while I gave it at my local geek store for credits because I didn't like it.

No, not the same price at all.
You said it's $150 (rounding to nearest dollar for ease of use) Can, well, $150 Can is $117.96 US. Meanwhile it's $100 US from BBTS, quite a bit cheaper unless you do something silly with shipping.

nothing silly at all, shipping to canada is about $30 USD so it comes out to almost the exact same amount as if you were to buy it in Canada including taxes.

Nightmare is an understatement.
I had all of wave 4 in hand at Walmart but like the moron I am I put them back thinking I could get a better deal later on.
Yeah I picked up Prime at Walmart and it's where I find my Titanmasters (We are at Petro wave) since Toys R us seems to not sell them at all...like it's not even a case of they don't have them but there isn't even pegs for them, speaking of such one of our Walmarts removed the Transformers section completely...as in the put other stuff there and there was not a single Transformer in store! Now I only have one Walmart to shop at.

The exclusives were all at my TRU next to the standard deluxes under the deluxe price tags and there were no price tags for these exclusives. So by the laws of quebec (I didnt even need to request it) I got them each for $20 CDN, which comes out to the same price americans got it at during their BOGO 40% off sale.
Crazy how I have to rely on these laws inorder to buy them for what should have been their full price.

Yeah I saw a Leader Megs today too. I double up on most things, but I got Takara's Leader Megs on pre-order. I don't care too much about covering both Hasbro and Takara on movie figures. So as much as I wanted him NAOW, I took a deep breath and put him down-Kanrabat- wrote:Also, sighted Leader Megatron and Optimus at Walmart. 70$ instead of TrU's 75$. Still too much. Gonna wait.

Why?
Because there is (supposed to have) NO differences with the Hasbro.
So why wait more?
Posted by shajaki on August 11th, 2017 @ 1:14pm CDT
I wasn't sure at the time if there were any differences, even though I knew there would likely be very little differences. Either way I thought he'd be a hard find, so meh, might as well lock in a Takara one-Kanrabat- wrote:>Takara Movie TLK Leader Megs

They're 49.99 so the $20 coupon doesn't work, but just throw in one of little dudes and you can use it.
So.... he's not bad.
I really didn't like the Legion Abominus, so I wasn't too excited about this. But it's a bit bigger and a bit better. It's pretty limited in what it can do, but looks pretty badass. Not to mention we're not likely to get a better version. After the coupon, I'm ok with it.
Posted by william-james88 on August 18th, 2017 @ 10:58pm CDT
The deals really vary from toy to toy so check out the website to get a better idea. There is also a subsequent deal where certain Rescue Bot toys are 50% off (see image below). Remember that you are also allowed to use the additional 10% off coupon that is still good until August 31st.

Because the movie toys are overpriced in Canada and this is the only way to move them probably.
TRU Exclusive Megatron and Skullitron are 20$ in the US
They are 40$ each in Canada
So choose, overpriced toys and sales once in a while or constantly affordable toys?

So in other words this is not a real sale. This is a "sell the figures for what theyre actually worth everyhere else" sale. Its nice TRU gives collectors a break in countries where the cost of living is somewhat greedy. (in my opinion) But calling it a sale is a bit of an exaggeration because TRU chooses to sell the toys at Canadian exaggerated prices instead of the US equivalent in Canadian currency. Thats on them. The Canadian government isnt forcing them to sell deluxes at $40 a piece. They choose to do it because you guys are willing to pay for them at inflated prices. Same thing goes for Australia. TRU is an American company so their price equivalents should be "American" no matter what country. Obviously they take advantage of foreign collectors. If I go to a currency exchange and give them $20 USD for the equivalent in Canadian (or Australian) currency, would I have enough to buy a Skullitron in a TRU in those countries? If the answer is no, then that means TRU is raping collectors with no Vaseline.

I mean I agree that these toys should be evenly priced everywhere but that last comparison feels a little harsh, not to mention graphic.

Its a "sell the figures for the US MSRP sale", yes.

We are not willing to pay inflated prices. Target found that out the HARD way. This sale is proof that they only way we will buy those figures is if they are affodably priced. And Hasbro is well aware hence why they give out 20$ off coupons to canadians who spend more than 50$ on their products, or buy 2 get one free coupons. They know this is priced higher than it should be and the coupons are a way to counter that without having to change the pricing software atToysrus. At least thats what I think, the presence of coupons just now when prices are inflated cant be a coincidence.

The Wave 5 Titans Return voyagers, Blitzwing and Octone have finally been found in Canada, at an Ontario Walmart while Robots in Disguise Combiner Force Galvatronus, which is slated for an October release in the US, has also been found the same week.
The most sought after toy of the moment has also been found around the same time, Movie Masterpiece MPM 04 Optimus Prime. What is intriguing about this later one, found at Toysrus of course, is how reasonable the price is. MPM 03 Bumblebee, is $130 CDN, which is $105 USD (well above the US MSRP of $80), however MPM 04 Optimus Prime is also $130 CDN (so also $105 USD, much closer to it's $100 USD MSRP). And, this week until thursday, there is a sale on all Transformers above $24.99 CDN, meaning that one can purchase (or get a raincheck for) this Movie Masterpiece Optimus at $103.97 CDN (which is $84.29 USD)

I think the last time I shipped something from Canada was when I got DOTM Megatron, and IIRC, the S&H was pretty cheap; then again, this was from a Canadian seller from Amazon.com.

Shipping from any of us would be quite expensive and you would lose any savings. Especially since that $85 does not include the tax yet. Your total would be 85 + 12.75 (taxes where I am) + 20 (estimated shipping) so about $117 USD.
