Our friend and theme park enthusiast Rick Brigante with Inside the Magic dropped by to let us know about the latest promotional campaign going on in Orlando for Universal's upcoming Transformers: The Ride 3D attraction. Similar to the campaign leading up to the ride's release at Universal Studios Hollywood, the Fairwinds Credit Union building in downtown Orlando has been outfitted with an 80 foot sign made to look as though Megatron took a stroll right through the building. Universal Orlando has also uploaded a YouTube video to go along with the campaign. We've embedded images from Inside the Magic and the Universal Orlando video below.

The shape reminds me of ROTF Megatron, which make less sense than using DOTM Megatron since the latter is in the ride.

I swear the Megatron in-ride changes between DOTM and ROTF. Or like a mix of both.
Rides should be the same for the SG & Hollywood one, but my observations were made in the SG ride.
When megatron fires the cannon straight at your face, he appeared to have a cannon arm, yet he had wheels on his legs, and chains around him like in DOTM.
At the end of the ride, where there is a full sized megatron hanging from the ceiling, it's obviously the ROTF model.

At the end of the ride, though it's difficult to tell, the model Megatron looks to have a piece of a truck bumper on his torso like his DOTM body had, as well as a six-pack set of abs that the DOTM Voyager toy had.

Unlike the previous walk arounds, who only spoke prerecorded lines, these actually interact with guest. Transformers: The Ride 3D opens at Universal Studios Orlando on June 20th! The Optimus Prime and Bumblebee walk around characters took a break from Universal Studios Orlando last night to visit Marlins Park. The pair accompanied Timothy Stahlsmith as he threw the ceremonial first pitch in last night's game versus the Tampa Bay Rays thanks to the Give Kids the World Foundation. They remained on hand to take pictures with fans throughout the game. Video footage can be found on Yahoo! Sports by clicking here.

I'm here in Orlando for the event. We had a special reception and got to ride the ride and shop at the store earlier in the evening. The grand opening commences in the morning and we shall be there.

I finally got to ride it............I know months later, killed two birds with one stone with going on the final night of Halloween Horror Nights. Loved it, as my wife would look at me from time to time and see my face lit up. Was a bit disappointed there wasn't energon and the glasses. I asked people who worked there where they were and only got the deer and the headlights look. I did get the ridiculously large Op souvenir water bottle. Is it not in Orlando yet?
