I wonder if that's going to be the price all around or if it's just because it's Orlando...

Geez shut up. Here at my place? 18$ each normal retail price. And it's been that way for more than 5 years now. I consider you guys LUCKY to have it only 13$. If I were collecting TFs at US instead of my place my collection would be DOUBLED. So just shut up sheesh.

Why don't you hush. If they've been $18 for years you have no place to complain about price increases. The toys just went up $3 to match those of Target and are $1 short of TRU.
Find it kind of funny you just bitched harder than I did since I only stated an observation. Considering I tend to buy from TRU I'm not complaining all that hard *rolls eyes*

No offense, but your post comes off as seriously rude, what with telling another member to shut up for stating their opinion. If you are outside the USA maybe you do have higher prices, but there are different economies and cost of living to consider. Also consider if you are outside the USA you likely have different distribution than we in the US get, so you may have access to many most of us never see hit shelves(here's looking at you Windcharger and First Edition Prime). Further more, somewhere out there someone else always has to pay more than you for something someplace, so its a little unreasonable to expect people not to be unhappy with price jumps in their own area.
Personally, I agree with Erailea on the price increases. We keep seeing figures get smaller and get less paint apps. In 2008 I paid $7.88 regular price at local WalMarts for deluxe scale classics. Four years later deluxe are smaller on average and getting less paint detail, but cost $5 more? How would anyone be expected to not be less than pleased about that?

And after seeing that Megatron in my TRU, no thanks. It's like a blown-up Legends class. Very dull. At least the Deluxe was sharper and shiny.

Be patient. I can almost say for certain you'll see deluxes for $9.99 and voyagers for $17.99 at Target next Sunday.

LOL yeah, it was grocery day for me, and it was just a random find... I folded up the receipt just to show the price of Megs and Wheeljack.

RID is busting out the seams in Orlando Walmart stores. I just picked up RID Wheeljack and Voyager Megatron on Goldenrod RD near OIA. Yep, Walmart. And the deluxes and voyagers are cheaper at Walmart than they are in TRU.
Deluxes - 12.88 compared to 14.99 at TRU
Voyagers - 19.96 compared to 26.99 at TRU
I think the Voyager ratio is 3 or 4:1 Optimus to Megatron (picked up the last Megatron, and surprisingly my first), and there is one Wheeljack left, compared to the 4 Cliffjumpers (which I think look terrible compared to the FE) and 6 BB.
Anyway, hope this helps...
Happy hunting!

Megatron Wolf wrote:walmart charging $13 for a deluxe what the hell is up with that? DOTM was $9.88 and they were the same size & quality as Prime looks to be. they've always been the place to go for deluxes. Well looks like i wont be getting wheeljack right away, ill just wait for a sale or coupon to come around and if hes still more than $11 after that then screw it i can live without em. At least the voyagers are the same price and im sure cyberverse will be too since i noticed the legends at target the other day and they were $5. This could just be walmarts way of screwing over the "early adopters", you know the people that have to have it right away and cant wait a week or two cause they cant admit they have a problem. I use to be that way but ive seen the error in my ways and if i have to wait 2 months then so be it ill wait.
Fun fact I found out about Walmart - you can return the toys up to 2 months after you buy them (I actually think it's 3 but I'll say 2 to be safe. I remember, for sure, their return policy is well over the standard 30 day limit). So if you buy them now and in a month or two they drop the price, take the items and your receipt back to the store and return them and re-buy what you want/need.
A cashier told me this when I was buying DOTM cyerverse stuff with the $5 coupons in the fall. Lol. She mentioned it because I told her I had bought a bunch of figures months before, not knowing the coupons were going to come out. She was pretty adamant about me bringing back all my MISB so I could get a $5 off each. Lol. Never did because I thought it too big a hassle... that and at the time I didn't realize they take stuff back without a receipt, but they give you the lowest market value in such instances. I imagine, if they're like Target, they use your drivers license to limit how much you can return a year without a receipt too.

Peaugh suggested that you can use a red Sharpie to color in the forearms if it bugs you that much.

On top of that, if you use Target's pharmacy, you get and additional 5% off certificate each time you buy 5 prescriptions, for a 10% discount. If you have Targets nearby it's a no-brainer. Sorry if this sounds like Target spam, but it realy os a good deal.

I'll be glad to pick up some of the Cyberverse figures once stocked. Already got the first wave of deluxes at TRU, and voyagers are waiting for me online. Would love to purchase deluxes at $10 again (or even $8), but it seems the economy is far from recovering. I can only hope that the new Generations figures keep the same sizes that we are used to. For PRID, at least it's a new line that I'm not trying to fit anyone into.

0 65356 97065 5 (Take the original UPC, add a 0 to the beginning and remove the last number, otherwise it won't register in the system.)
The UPC set up works with any Deluxe or Voyager, just make sure you add a 0 before it and remove the last from it.
Hope this helps!
One more note, in case you're new to this: One Deluxe UPC will work for ALL Deluxes since they are part of an assortment. The same thing applies to all TFs, all size classes. If you have one Voyager UPC, it'll cover all Voyagers. If you have one Deluxe UPC, it'll cover all Deluxes, so on and so on.

Yeah, I saw the video. From comparing the different forearms, the red-sharpie idea definitely does him justice.
What's the point of the translucent forearms anyway? Do they light up with the weapon or are they just there for absolutely no reason whatsoever?

They'll be removed to the clearance aisle, shortly. March 1st is the official date for PRID and the planogram has space for them.
I'd say by the second week of March, we'll be seeing sightings all over the place.

my Target's stock hasn't changed since they put out about a dozen deluxe figures out about a week and a half ago. Unsurprisingly, Bee and Cliff are warming the shelves. Wheeljack is completely sold out. Never saw Soundwave. No sign of the other classes
Kmart had 3 Voyager Optimus ($19.99), but no other PRID figures.
TRU didn't have much either. One highly overpriced voyager Optimus, a few Bot Shots and one lonely deluxe Bee.

I don't live near Walmart but I do have a couple TRU's, Kmarts and Targets don't have any Prime figures yet.
Was that the Times Square branch O_o??

Grants on the finds. All that's important is you're happy to have gotten them!
I'm just a little bummed out because I'm in the city all the time. Guess I'll just stick to my local branch and hope their stock improves. No more Naked Cowboy for me...
Might be a good time to look into the Japanese toy stores scattered across NYC. Been meaning to hit up the likes of Toy Tokyo.

If you can afford to fork over a couple of bucks more, I'd say do it. Besides, if they do come out cheaper in other stores, you can always return your figures to TRU. Either way, you still got the goods in your hands.
Nothing makes you feel more like kicking yourself in the ass than saying to yourself you could have owned when you had the chance.

Never hurts to look, especially since they have a few on their website. In general I just like wandering through Asian toy stores, even if I don't buy anything xD They tend to have more unique and fun things to see.
I'll have to look into St. Mark's Comics, thanks There was some place I jotted down over on the West Side I wanted to check out (Image Anime? Can't remember at the moment). One of these days I'll have a little extra time to head over to these places. Haha.
At this point I can't really afford toys though... or rather I can but I'm attempting to discipline myself as far as budgeting goes. It's a losing battle at the moment >.< I can save like a demon, until Transformers comes into the picture. Must. Break. Habit *twitches*
So me evading Time Square might be a healthy thing xP Playing the receipt game would otherwise be a good idea

As a rule I generally stay away from Times Square to get my TFs unless absolutely necessary.
Recently, St. Mark's Comics has had loose TFs for sale at the back and some carded ones going back to G2!

I've no luck at Wal-Mart, I went to target the other day and found 2 cyberverse tfprime bumblebees, there was no display or places on the selves for them though.
I went to K-mart yesterday and found 2 RID bee's, 3 wheeljacks, one soundwave and 2 cliffjumpers as well as all wave 1 bot shots
I bought, Cliffjumper, Wheeljack, Soundwave. An Optimus Bot Shot and the Chase clear Sentinel Prime Bot Shot
I hate I saw no voyagers but I'm going back at the end of the week for more. just thought I would spread the word that K-mart of all places had almost all wave 1 items.

Generally that is a good idea, but Times Square is, more or less, on my regular walk to Port Authority. So stopping in ultimately means there's less wear and tear on my car and I save on gas. I might actually use Walmart for get Voyagers though (if they ever come in) due to the wicked price increase at TRU. At least the up in deluxes is justified by the fact Walmarts was reported to be $13 now... I just hate my Walmart :/ I never feel safe there after dark, which is generally the only time I have to stop in *sigh* I might just break down at hit up the TRU's. For now though, I'm trying not to tempt myself.
I think once the Prime craziness dulls down I'll hit up St Mark's :3 Thanks again for the info! Now if I could discipline myself better I'd be able to go there sooner. Bah! Mustn't tempt thy self with more stores >.<
