Seriously, has Optimus stumbled upon a 200 foot tall version of himself sticking out of the desert sands on Prime, ala Planet of the Apes or something? With so many baseformers throughout their rich history, this just seems like a lost opportunity to me.
This. And the answer is simple. Optimus sell. Prepare yourself for a Bumblebee version.
I just saw the video and it confirm my idea. This thing look totally lame and derpy. It's just a big empty frames with lots of holes in it. What's the point? At least, the DotM Cyberverse Ark looked like something solid in both modes. I got it on sale and I don't regret it.
If I see Optimus Maximus on clearance for 15$, I may just buy it, but never for more.

The Optimus one I could understand and even see why it would be fun but that? Not with a stolen d!ck.
OP is getting a white paint job and all the Metroplex parts Shapeways can make for me. I really wish I knew how tall it was in inches to see how well it would fit in with Classics.

I keep on thinking of the Gobots powersuit (I think that's the name for it). Each gobot would wear a harness and make up the limbs, while the main controller of the suit is in the middle within a spaceship.

Because Metroplex isn't Optimus Prime or Bumblebee.zodconvoy wrote:It does seems pretty sweet but it begs the question: why not just make it Metroplex?

But maybe. Just maybe.
As far as the Optimus and Bumblebee suit things, I doubt I'd take one if it was free.

BUT yeah. Here's hoping there is a game-accurate Metroplex coming up the pike. I will buy the crap outta that. Bigger the better. Hopefully someone has solved the drop test issue in the past decade. Repaint it and retool it as Metrotitan and Fort Max, too.
Seriously. I want an awesome, epic base toy... something more awesome than Supreme Cheetor. (groan) And something with more play value than Unicron or Primus (basketball) base modes. ie. No ramps, garages, launchers, turrets, trap doors, hidden panels, booby traps, wenches, windows, computer panels, cockpits, elevators, driver seats or the other play set gimmicks I remember from childhood. THOSE are what I want in a city-former.

Also, I would kill for a scourge/Nemesis Prime Redeco... they could even call it "Evil Mech Prime" or some shit.

Bring on more Cyberverse playsets that actually represent stuff from the show!

...no, it ios not. It's not even close to a cityformer. It's just a mech that sits down occasionally.freetouch wrote:Come on... this is metroplex.
You're making me weep uncontrollably. Stuff like that in modernized cityformer TFs with modern tech would be... well, perfect.gothsaurus wrote:ramps, garages, launchers, turrets, trap doors, hidden panels, booby traps, wenches, windows, computer panels, cockpits, elevators, driver seats or the other play set gimmicks I remember from childhood.
Drop tests be damned, we need our supreme-class cityformers.
