The first listing is titled "TRANSFORMERS - Platinum Edition - Optimus Prime (Year of the Horse) Figure - English Edition", priced at $139.99, and scheduled to release in December. Based on the description it seems likely this will be a reissue of the Masterpiece MP-10 Optimus Prime mold. However, the additional info mentions 2 AA batteries, which are not required for the MP-10 mold.
The second is titled as "TRA SUPREME STARSCREAM CNY PLATINUM" with a $119.99 price, but no description beyond the name. This is also scheduled for a December release.
The listings can be found at the following links, and the Optimus Prime product description can be found mirrored below.

My thoughts were along the same lines when they announced the year of the snake figures. Would have been sweet to get a re-release of Cohrada with a flash new paint job.

I'm really curious to see a horse deco on anything, to be honest.
There are so many ways in which people (neigh-sayers) can complain about it.

I think so, but they may have just been horsing around.

Ah, yep, and looks like someone else noticed first:
JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Wasn't Cybertron Prime one of the rumored reissues as well?
This could indeed be the Cybertron OP mold, but the description does mention an axe, which this toy did not have. Well, maybe that could be a new accessory for it, like how Omega Supreme had a new head and claw, and how Ultra Magnus had the Forge and all new tooling.
And Cybertron Wing Saber was also on that list, so he might not be too far behind.
Though, that still leaves rereleases of the G1 Star Saber, G1 Dai Atlas, Optimus Primal, "Special Air Jordan X Transformers Black Convoy", and "CNY RID Ultra Magnus" unaccounted for.

I did a little more checking and the addition info on the listing mentions 2 AA batteries, which would point to the Cybtertron Leader Prime, but the description is clearly MP-10. Time will tell.

Cybertron Prime had a trailer. And a gun that Hasbro could call an "ion cannon" if they wanted to.Va'al wrote:It also mentions a trailer and ion cannon, making the MP guess a more stable one. Though not furlong.

But Cybertron Prime's trailer can't convert into battle station with maintenance dock. Nore does he have a trailer, his "truck-mode" splits in half, one for the bot while the rest becomes wings for his powered up mode.
This'll be be interesting to see.

What other cancelled items am I leaving out here? Stuff they made prototypes and revealed, but didn't get around to putting out that would be awesome in the 30th line??
Ah well. Will try to go into this open minded. Maybe it will be a cool repaint.

Well, there's that Devcon from Energon Slugslinger that would've looked amazing had it been released as a BotCon exclusive as planned.

Don't want the give them another reason to do so.

Yeah I want to more canceled Transformers Animated toys released. That would include bumblebee(recolor), Goldfire Grimlock, Waspinator(Bumblebee mold), Vortex Blurr, and Mudbuster Bulkhead that's all I can think of but hope I am wrong and their are more.

Cybertron Prime also has electronics, for his left cannon. However, it requires two AAA:

It cannot be Armada or Energon because they do not have Matrix of leaderships that fit inside of their chest. Cybertron Optimus does have a matrix for his chest but o didn't know he took triple A batteries. Does MP OPtimus have any room for batteries?

Next time you get a chance (convention or whatever) would you PLEASE pester them about that? I mean really, what a missed (and quite frickin' OBVIOUS) opportunity to do something cool that actually makes sense.

There are 12 animals in the Chinese Zodiac. These toys started off as Chinese New Year exclusives by Hasbro Asia, and thus far have done the Dragon and the Snake. After the Horse, there's still the Sheep, the Monkey, the Rooster, the Dog, the Pig, the Rat, the Ox, the Tiger, and the Rabbit to do, and there aren't any signs of them stopping.Mindmaster wrote:I think the first Platinum Optimus Prime was good enough. But two? C'mon.
"Platinum Edition" was just Hasbro US's way of justifying American releases of these Hasbro Asia exclusives. The first one, "Year of the Dragon" Ultimate Optimus Prime, wasn't even released as a Platinum Edition toy, but as a mere DOTM toy.

Honestly I'll be surprised if they go the distance with this. Twelve years seems like a long time for a toy company to be doing the same thing year after year.

I'll sacrifice all understanding of the term 'logic' if we don't get an Optimus Primal in '16. (And to anyone with a degree in zoology; yes, I know monkeys are not apes. )
