I also agree that the current head looks a lot like BW Dinobot.

And for a deluxe that might have to be picked up depending on how many other movie toys I get.
Oh I do like the black background used for the photos, really makes the figure pop out better.

I don't think I'm going to get this guy, but he looks smegloads better than the other characters.

The helmit is spot on for Megs, but the face looks a little too silly IMO.

I was thinking half Megs half Tankor.

Sure thing. I just took a few pics of the instructions for you. I'll post back in a minute when I've got them posted.

Gotta agree on this one, this is the absolute first movie toy that i MUST have. even though I want the protoforms, i MUST get this one.

Yeah why is the scale fudged up in most of the lines?
It's the only problem I have with most of the toylines. Even as a kid, the combiners were annoyingly small compared to G1 Prowl and co. I wouldn't use Motormaster and Prime together until I got the Actionmasters which somewhat compensated.
It's also the reason I love KO's more than original TF's. Love my oversized Bruticus with my Ultra Magnus sized Onslaught and my oversized RM Wrecker Hook and Wingstun.
I really wish future lines would address the scale issue. ALL CARS SHOULD BE BASICS!!!!
Sorry, yeah, I'm definitely getting the Megatron vibe from Wreckage. Why are the coolest movie line toys like Wreckage and the Realgear guys not in the film?

Megatron_Wolf wrote:Does he have any automorph features or is he just a normal TF figure?
I think there are two automorph features. When you put his shoulders into place, it moves his arms and head into place. The gun that's on top of the vehicle mode moves the gun in the middle of his torso into place as well.

this guy looks super poseable, I have a feeling I'm gonna love the "non-movie" movie characters!
And typical, TFormers.com or TFW2005 doesn't post this as 'news' - they'll consider an unpainted prototype on eBay news but when Ryan posts an entire gallery of 1000 photos, it's not enough to warrant a front page mention.

A) The image is too small to tell if the windows are indeed translucent
B) If they are indeed translucent it could have just been photoshopped
C) The images on the packaging are not guaranteed accurate representations of the product (I believe the current disclaimer Hasbro uses is "product and colors may vary")

Ryan- nice work on the photos. I especially like the ones where he's gorilla pressing Ratchet

did you look at the pics in large image form and if you did look again. it is 75% possible that it is true and the other pics we saw were prototypes and the painted one had less parts then the real one will have and it would be dumb of them to let the other figures have painted windows then the rest. just look and think positive

You're right, they do look see-through when enlarged. But you do realize they weren't actually photographed in front of that icon, don't you? They were placed there digitally and so if the background shows through the windows it's because the package designer made the windows transparent. 75% possible? You got this statistic where? All the painted test-shots and hardcopies we've seen have had the windows painted in metallic blue.
Also, see the cardback of protoform Starscream. The figure doesn't even have the same head mould as the one that was released.
The photos on the packaging don't mean squat.

Okey I see were you are geting. I compleatly agree. but the packaging pics of preview starscream aren't even real. it looks more like art then plastic. but test shots are usually prototypes. I got the 75% by guess. every figure depends on the look of it. wreckage looks the same prime lokks the ssme. iron hide has more paint aps to it but is still the same thing

Thanks Chief, I appreciate you posting the instructions. I was hoping it would have pointed out his Automorph feature, but it's not the end of the world that it didn't include it. I'm sure kiddies would be more interested in the twin tin roof switch blades that things packin'

Dracori: Doth show that my brother and I fail to agree upon anything. Personally, I am not a large fan of Transformers. However, I must confess that this one is mildly cool, which is just about the best thing I can say about giant fighting robots.

The good thing is its in the figure i like it i wish it would be on all figures from know on.
