I want Ironhide because I expect him to be a new size in the current scale (in addition to it simply being Ironhide), but good ol Tracks is one I had as a kid. I have a definite soft spot for the character.

That's what they've been charging for them since at least MP-14...for me that's a well-documented complaint.

Remember, the first wave of TFs in Japan was our combined '84 and '85 waves, so Tracks, Red Alert and Smokescreen are still 1st wave for them.
That being said, preordered. If anyone's looking for a G1 Tracks with paperwork and box, that'll be going on ebay today. Just sayin'

Not to mention even the G1 cartoon sort of approaches the 85 cast as just kind of being there...minus Perceptor and somebody else I cant remember who introduced themselves to Spike.

Road rage is crosscut's distinctly female, and distinctly badass bodyguard and advisor. Much like crosscut she was.an e.hobby exclusive repaint. Her deco was used by the club for sg tracks.
Okay, probably from the comics. Would be nice to have that repaint with a female headsculpt.
Actually she and crosscut were g1 characters, however their only fiction for a bit were their respective box info. Also technically they're some of "newest" G1 figures/characters, coming out in the new millennium, but still meant to be part of a 84 G1 continuity. Crosscut was only recently put in IDW's more than meets the eye comic as a side character, and road rage had a few glorified cameos in club comics.
Road Rage was a so-called "companion release" with the Tracks reissue, based on the Diaclone release of the toy. Others of her kind include:
Crosscut (Skids)
Tigertrack (Sideswipe)
Clamp Down (Red Alert)
Deep Cover (Sideswipe)
Salvo, Shothole and Zaptrap (Insecticons)
Overcharge (Blitzwing)
Magnificus (Perceptor)
Exhaust (Wheeljack)
As such she only appeared in current fiction, not the original 1984-1986 series.

He deserves a mention since he's based on a Diaclone toy, plus the Wheeljack mold is confirmed broken...

I kinda hope it's not- just give me a straight recolor and designate it as MP-25R.

That would actually end up as an exclusive release. And guys, humanoid face = Tracks, battle mask = Road Rage.

No problem with that. Being an exclusive didn't really hamper anyone's ability to get Tigertrack, and I love the battle mask/red body combo.

Well, BotCon did establish "humanoid face = Bumblebee, battle mask = Glyph", so there is that precedence.Seibertron wrote:JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:And guys, humanoid face = Tracks, battle mask = Road Rage.

That might be your interpretation but Bumblebee still gets a battle mask whenever he wants it. The Masterpiece figure, G2 Masterpiece, RID Bumblebee, Animated Bumblebee, Movie Bumblebee, etc. I'm sure most Transformers fans don't even know who Glyph is.
You also seem to put much greater weight on the contributions of the Club and BotCon than I do. They're only a step above fan-fiction in my book and can be contradicted at any time by Hasbro, Takara and IDW.

Right on. Loved the Road Rage gallery by the way. Stellar work as always.

No need to get so defensive. I'm just saying that there has been a fembot redeco whose default fictional face was its toy's battle mask instead of a humanoid face like the ones given to its male mold mates, and that Road Rage would just be following that preexisting pattern.Seibertron wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Well, BotCon did establish "humanoid face = Bumblebee, battle mask = Glyph", so there is that precedence.Seibertron wrote:JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:And guys, humanoid face = Tracks, battle mask = Road Rage.

BTW, Takara (whom you accept as legit) has already depicted Road Rage with a battle mask anyway:

I also wouldn't consider a mini-1 page manga comic attached to the back of instructions to be canon just like I don't consider the Decoy catalog mini-comic to be canon. Marketing materials is more like what all of those fall under. Serving a limited purpose but not the larger true canon.

Totally agree with Elita and Minerva, but as Nightbird's technically not cybertronian, I can wait. I'd rather have Firestar or Moonracer

It's not really canon I'm personally worried about, rather what point of reference the designers are gonna use, and why. If they're gonna go the Bumblebee route and have the best of both worlds, that would be perfect for everyone.

Maybe you guys saw a different ending in masterforce or are discarding her appearance in victory, but I'm pretty sure she was a bona-fide 100% transformer at both of those points.

Yeah, but Roadrage was at least a somewhat well known e.hobby exclusive toy; this isn't like MP27 Ferak (provided the club never did him)

I don't think she's that obscure if most people on most fan sites immediately called for a road rage. I think Road rage is more infamous due to the fact she's a she; and there are few enough female transformers that she's notable to the fandom. Again she's more on the scale of Exhaust despite being relatively obscure by most standards, most people actually have a passing knowledge of her. Again she's not like ferak, or initial T, or the other characters i've gotten pissed off about.
