But Roadbuster...I'm all over that like a...thing...that's all over some other thing. Except for his dorky clown shoes - but I'll hardly see his feet once he's on my shelf.

So, uh, Generations Unicron Trilogy figures (besides Armada Starscream) = when?

Depends on your definition of "good".
Until he gets rid of that goddamn lava lamp cannon (and possibly gets a better alt mode than what is basically his torso with said lava lamp cannon sticking out the front) the answer will be "never".

I already have a Sky Byte and Roadbuster for my Classics shelf (two Roadbusters if you count the FOC version). These look better since they aren't repaints, but I have to allot my funds properly, like for that Scorponok that's coming.
Time for Repaint Theater
Who could these two be retooled into?
Besides Cybershark, of course.

Sharkticon? Seacon colours? Heck, Energon Sharkticon had a nice paint scheme.

For RID, there was also Side Burn and Scourge, though both are exclusives.
And the FOC Ruination was a sort of sideways homage to the RID team.
I would like to see a Generations version of Armada Megatron. The original had lousy articulation.

This. Oh, this so much.
Still waiting on Demolishor, Cyclonus, and Red Alert (though I'll happily take a redeco of the upcoming BotCon 2014 "Pirates vs. Knights" Cannonball as Red Alert via Club Store/TFSS). Would it be too much to ask for Armada Optimus Prime and Megatron, too?

Here in SE Pennsylvania, Whirl and Doubledealer showed up at TRU about a week ago.

Happy to get a Roadbuster. He's decent enough for such a minor character.
Not sure on repaint potential. Skybyte could be okay in the green, or Sharkticon/Seacon colours (both of which are pretty similar so it could be a double homage, lets call him Gnawbreaker) or the Energon Sharkticon colours, but they're maybe a bit too similar to this one. Could also go with Pretender Splashdown, whose shell had a similar shark-head chest going on. Agaim this could be close enough to a Cybershark colour palette that one might work fine for the other, if you so choose. Roadbuster could end up being any of a dozen big burly bots, but I don't see any one particular character.

It's just you, man. This toy is completely different from the original, mold-wise.dende5416 wrote:UH... is it just me, or is Skybyte only a slightly retooled Transmetal 2 Cybershark? I see practically no differences between the old mold and new mold, at all. Does anyone else see that or am I just nuts?

And still, BBTS, even with high prices is cheaper than getting both here in Brazil.

Thanks for the link, Maximo!
Okay, now I'm practically yearning for that toy!

They look less dorky at the right angles. Thankfully, his feet will likely be covered up by his surrounding comrades anyway, so it's not a deal breaker for me.

craggy wrote:what's with the pricing complaints? $30 is about standard for a Voyager, no? Seems like it's been around that for this run of the Generations line, at least since Springer and them, IIRC.
They're usually 22$-ish at my local retailers (Toys "R" Us, being themselves, ask about four dollars more here). So I kinda see why everyone is a little agitated.

The thought of 3D-printing a pair of parts to beef up his feet did cross my mind. But seeing the way his feet tuck in between the two windshields in alt mode, they'll either have to be removable, or render him non-transformable.
Guess I'll just have to deal with the flat feet.

Of course, I usually wait for TFs to go on sale or buy them second hand years after the fact, but regardless, he looks a good figure- good enough for me to save money and buy this instead of the uber-expensive (if awesome) Fansproject Revolver Core.
Recoiler Core and Riftshot Core on the other hand...

No, I'm still buying him. Just pointing out a dislike is all.
