After previous Auctions revealed Transformers: animated Lockdown and Bumblebee's Bio's, now Prowl's Bio has been revealed via a ridiculously overpriced ebay listing.

Name: Prowl
Motto: Through stillness you will find truth
Function: Spy
Profile:
Prowl has spent his life studying the secrets of the ancient art of Circuit-Su. Through its teachings, he has discovered the beauty of pure logic, and the invincibility of reason. All things - even combat - are subject to reason. If one is willing to calmly apply one's mental faculties to any problem, the solution will soon reveal itself. He often finds the chaotic antics of humans and other AUTOBOTS frustrating, but he will stop at nothing in their defence.

Galactic Powers and Abilities:
- Master of Circuit-Su
- Projects holograms for use as camouflage.
- Can use any object as a weapon.

Prowl is Awesomesauce.

They are waaaay overcharging for in Australia Shipping too, so are probably ripping everyone else off with shipping costs as well as ripping them off with the BIN.

They have quotes again? WOO-HO0!
Sort of ridiculous "Circiut-su" but it's not half bad.
Just not the Prowl I'm used to, but I can grow to like it.

now it makes sense, his abilities states he can use any object as a weapon so that explains the traffic light.

Since he can use any object, wouldn't it be cool if a different object cam with each prowl figure .Traffic light
Stop sign, etc?

Ok what ever figures i get out of this line will either be the offspring of there namesakes or renamed. I think its time for hasbro to start making some new names instead of using already existing ones.

Circuit-su was one of the styles Dreamwave made up when they did their G1 Guidebooks, if I remember correctly.

This is an interesting hybrid of G1 and new information. The original Prowl was very logic oriented with an advanced processing center. This ninja incarnation is actually very cool...I'm looking forward to more development of their character.

Yeah, I gotta agree. I don't mind them changing a few things, but when they change a character so much, they need to stop kidding themselves. If it's essentially a new character, give it a new name.

But so far that's my only major grievance with the series, so they might be doing something right.

Then they lose the Trademark/copyright of that name and can no longer use it. Would you prefer that?

This isn't G1 Prowl, it's Animated Prowl, different character with the same name, just like there are oodles of Johns, Marys and Harrys out there in the real world, different characters, same name.

Maybe I'm an idiot, but I always thought that if they 'lose' the name that just means that they can no longer hold exclusive copyright to it. They could still have a character named Prowl if they wanted, but there'd be nothing to stop someone else also using the name.

It's nice the the bio is essentially consistent to his G1 persona, but I'm wondering if Hasbro is taking Prowl's logic fetish to Vulcan extremes. He makes Shockwave look like Hot Rod.

If they lose it another company can claim it and stop Hasbro from using it. That or they could charge Hasbro a fee to use the name.

I'd love to have a Classics Prowl! I hope they make him, as it would be in Hasbro's best interest because I would also buy the Smokescreen and Bluestreak repaints/retools. Yes, I'm that much of a whore.

And as for RaptorJesus, I've seen it written a number of ways. I just tend to write it how the Pedobear writes it, but then again, he IS an internet superhero...

Check the news, they were seen this weekend, I think. Lockdown's a bounty hunter (inspired by Boba Fett) and Bumblebee is basically Hot Rod.

Oh yeah, they should totally do a classics Prowl. I'd definitely buy the Prowl and Smokescreen versions, and if they released the Bluestreak version first, probably wind up getting that too.

I don't buy repaints, but for Smokescreen and Prowl I'd happily make an exception.

I like this bio. It is good ol' classical Prowl logical thinking and rationale with the added benefit of some old-fashioned butt-kicking with stop lights. I was more than a bit skeptical of a motorcycle Prowl at first, but this bio of a serious, but higly trained, warrior fits quie well.

I think it's kinda of cool that this new Prowl dude's head is inspired by the Datsun Trio's (well, except for the long shape of course, they stole that from Bruce Campbell), he has the antenna coming out of the central crest thing!

With the recent addition of a few extra months onto that, it starts to seem like some vague distant point in the future that, who knows, may never come. I remember when classics seemed so out of reach. Just made you want them even more.

You have to wonder how much that is inflating these prices.

I don't have to ... you can just think about how long we gotta wait for the next lot of Classics/Universe. You know right now I'd kill for just the crappiest little jpeg image of a prototype, but at this stage they could even get pushed back further, anything could happen.
