But yeah... those concepts of Bumblebee and Optimus Prime look really out of place. Almost reminds me of Prime.

This.
A combination of the two head designs.

Not all of these designs are "aweful." A few could work in the Bayverse.
These seem pretty natural compared to designs in official movie cannon:
Simon's concepts do not look like our conventional Transformers designs but some of the Bayverse designs don't either and I think that's great. Realistically, would sentient alien robots look as human as the conventional Transformers designs? Wouldn't you want something different every now and then? With that in mind, why is it that everyone apparently hate the "chicken legs"? It only makes the designs feel more alien, and befittingly for Decepticons, inhuman.

I do agree with your opinion on the space-ships. They look too "clean" for a rugged bounty hunter to use, and in the same way, all of Simons' Lockdown concepts.
The bumblebee concept and the second optimus prime are very skeleton-esque and are unfitting for soldiers in an action flick.
Some concepts could work for other characters though.
Reminds me of Ultra Magnus. Redo the head and buff-up the waist and stomach and Whoa-la!
This ^ could be a protoform for Demolisher from TF:Armada/Energon

What? I was making reference to the vehicles' lengths. I wasn't making an opinion at all.

Why did Hasbro have to go and nix Cyberverse?
The Dinobots are really close to their toys here, with Scorn having one sail, Slug's weapons in dino mode, and Strafe's two heads being identical. Though thankfully Slash's toy didn't go with those crazy cowboy spurs.

Remember me a Jurassic Park Robot. Very, very cool.
How many "Slashs" we have????
Posted by Sabrblade on July 2nd, 2014 @ 3:00pm CDT
Doesn't look all that much different here, aside from the lack of Devil horns, since the movie version has a very distinct T-Rex-shaped snout.Autobot Dash wrote:I liked more this version of Grimlock (the first image) than the "dragon-thing" of the movie.

I wonder how One Step Changer Slash and Construct-Bots Scorn look together...

Repressed memmories of Beast Machines Cheetor would be my guess.

Like they don't belong on the same shelf, probably. The AoE Construct-Bots are somewhat different aesthetically from the other AoE toys, probably out of necessity.

It's true, but they add things in him to show that he is "very dangerous": horns, hundreds of fangs, claws, a bigger mouth, bigger tooth, etc (As a robot Tyrannosaurus was not dangerous enough...) and, in my opinion, is exaggerated... so exaggerated that maybe will make him be ridiculous.
I hope no.

one step slash looks okay.. it's still too big since scorn and slug are both deluxes.. which now infuriates me.. why in the hell is slog getting a voyager mold when that CLEARLY should've gone to scorn.. it's REALLY annoying.. i'd prefer them not even giving us the dinobots that aren't in the movie.
i mean.. the dinobots, all of them, in the movie are gigantic.. yet scorn and slug are both deluxes.. it's very annoying.

I'm not talking about the Generations Dinobots, though. I was referring to the Construct-Bots versions, which are slightly more in scale with the Generations figures. It's not perfect, but it's close enough for me.

Red:
This was based on a new version of Polaris RZR makes which reminds me of an angry little gorilla in that it is small but extremely tough with its performance/handling and styling. It was only fitting to make it into one. The transformation is fairly simple: the hood becomes the chest, the wheels become fists and shoulders, the fenders become muscle elements on the thigh and biceps areas, the trailing arms become femurs, the roll cage stays where it is. I figure this would be an Autobot.
White:
This was an alternative to the red angry gorilla design but based on the same vehicle. It is loosely inspired by Demolishor. Trying to keep the same feeling as the gorilla but not so organic (more deception-feeling) so I made it into more of a small tank, armed to the teeth, with an all terrain attitude. For this complex transformation the wheels merge into one "track", the hood and face move into the center with the eyes hanging out on the side to see around the track, the rear fenders become rocket pods and the suspension becomes the inner structure.
Green:
This one is a new road-based vehicle that Polaris will release shortly. I tried to make this one contrast the other two by being faster-looking, lighter and using blade weapons. I think it could pass for a Deception or Autobot. The transformation is simple, the front rims become the blades on the hands, the hood becomes the chest, a rear vent feature becomes a hood, the funky drivetrain becomes the spine and "leg".

Yeah, more of this Hritz art, but not in Transformers. TF2 gave me more than I wanted of wheel bots and unicycle legs. Best part about TF4 was making all of the bots more humanoid on all sides.
Still, these would make great mech designs in like a Robotech movie or something.

How would Hasbro even make a toy of the white Demolishor-esque one?
