It looks good too.

I almost think Runamuck looks better.

Loving the paint job for the alt mode. Soo looking forward to adding these two to my collection. Alt mode and bot modes really work well with these two. I won't have the wings deployed in bot mode, I'll just have them tucked under to make them closer to their G1 look. I want them NAOW!

It's a rub symbol, just peel it off! That is, if you actually get it. These guys a pretty pricey...

I was kind of hoping Runabout would be made using the tracks mold so they could be slightly different.

That's how it looked in G1, rubsign on roof, and logo on hood. :P

Wow, I think that he looks better than Runamuck. The only problem I foresee with these figures is an off-center Decepticon logo on the hood/legs. :CON:

Like I said about Runamuck, I'll say it about Runabout. I fail to see the need for a rubsign when there's a ginormous :CON: logo right there on the car's hood.

So what if the G1 toys had them? The fiction didn't use them on these two.

Anywho, like 'Muck, 'Bout looks great. :D

Would be nice if the purchaseable figure had a box insert that could accommodate both this figure, and the year's "freebie" figure, together. Because, let's face it, Runabout and Runamuck are inseparable. They're bros. Ro-bros.

That's not the actual toy, it's a photoshopped image of the Runamuck preview.

Nice RotF Dead End homage btw.

as peter from family guy would say: " this looks sweet."

wow i'm impressed this thing looks leaps & bounds awesome.

both look pretty good in their mock ups and the mode is one of the best in the generations - fortunately i never had a feel for these guys - always hated over simplistic transformers as a kid (though the duocons did grow on me) - so i'm not disappointed on missing out on these

if i did have them tho - i'd tuck their wings in and hide them as the originals didn't have these

i'm pretty happy with my tracks and wheeljack

Way cooler than boring white Runamuck. I wish THIS was the free membership figure instead!

I think I've said it before on here, but, dammit, I'll say it again;

I've shelled out on an international membership (and will have to renew to get Runamuck) - these better be available for a reaonable amount of time - I want this, Runamuck and SG Drift, and one of my biggest pet peeves are these elitist 'short production runs'!

Yeah, I'll be getting these... and doing the backpack tuck I saw online. (basically folding the flaps behind the back, then tucking the missiles down into them.) Doesn't require any modification and locks the parts in tightly. Between that and the head swap, these guys will look great on the ole shelf.

They toy looks neat and I just finished reading the bio, and all I could think of as reading it is this is essentially Michael Bay the toy. His bio has him getting a hard on for explosions much like said hack. I find it funny.

Ok, so I'm the only one that DOESN'T like it and will be saving a hefty pile of scratch not chasing him down? Tracks/Wheeljack wasn't the mold for these guys......but I guess another Sunstreaker mold-use was out of the question.

Nevermind.

Im planning on signing up, but any idea if we get notifications on WHEN it is released? And i live in Asia, so your morning = my night.... so that should be a good thing...
Also, i expect it to be around US $60? (it'll be my 1st year signing up  )

Also heard TFCC would be increasing the stocks significantly on runabout and drift. Dont care for drift though.

Given that this is the Wheeljack mold, there should be pegs near the knees that allow you to attach the shoulder missile/wrenches there, safe, secure, and out of the way. You can then put the larger weapon on their shoulder, like the original toy had, should you desire.

If possible i'll get them both but i am not a fan of where they put the logo on these as it breaks up in botmode. I think they should leave off the hood symbol and just put one on the chest. That rub symbol can be slapped onto the side or back of the vehicle.

I'm not sure how, but the club making these has somehow made these characters more relevant to me. I was even looking on eBay for a set.

So you can say, I'm drinking the koolaid.

I guess we might get some news on more Generations stuff at NYCC though.

wow. I never thought about that until you mentioned it. Aside from the new Generations figures coming out, and these three (SG Drift included), I have no interest in any of the Hasbro offerings until maybe Prime gets released.

price is no object, the real problem is i never open my figures,i would have to look at this thru a white box??!!then again its not really sealed so i would peel it off.but im so damn picky why even bother.no package no purchase.thats jus the way i see it.i hate that habit of mine...sometimes.

Hey Pete, glad to see you're checking out the news story. Just wanna address the elephant in th room about availability on this item. I have a great idea on about how to handle demand: When members renew or signup for next year's member figure, have an option for them to prepay for this figure as well. Persons already eligible for the current figure could be notified by e-mail to prepay as well. After deadline passes for 2012 set, open orders for additional figures with no limits on purchase. You eliminate thre birds with one stone, everyone gets a shot to get one, retailers can fill orders after deadline and you make enough to satisfy demand of one set per eligible member.

I've also PM'd you this info as well, and I'd really like to know your thoughts.

I actually like this idea, assuming it limits each member to prepay for only one of each figure. As soon as the costs are known to TFCC, they can then put the charges on each member's account with X number of days to pay. Orders that aren't paid for are then tossed into the general preorder. That's pretty slick actually.

To address the elephant, Pete has stated that the number of figures they've ordered done are "significantly higher" than last year's. So here's hoping!
