Here's an interesting little piece of news that almost slipped through the cracks from the Robotkingdom Newsletter that was posted earlier this morning. Takara's Transformers Prime Arms Micron AM-15 and AM-16 identities were revealed!
AM-15 Voyager Megatron
AM-16 Deluxe Vehicon Jet Type
AM-17 Voyager Swerve
No images have been posted, but it seems obvious AM-15 Megatron will be a reuse of the "Robots in Disguise" Voyager mold with the inclusion of a new Arms Micron. AM-16 Vehicon Jet Type on the other hand is a mold we have yet to see. Both are scheduled to release in July.
We also have verification that AM-07 Voyager Swerve will be Breakdown repaint as many have already speculated.

So happy I had the cash to jump on this pre-order immediately. Now I don't have to worry about paying mark-up prices with BBTS or TFSource.

"Beacon" = "Biikon" = "Vehicon" (the car one). Robotkingdom mistransliterated the name.z-span wrote:Maybe I'm late to the party, but who is AM-14 Beacon?

Ahhh, that makes much more sense now. Mistranliterated. Not a real word, but certainly a mouth full.
......That's what she said!

Theres no confirmation, but its pretty likely. its different enough to require a new mold, so its not like itll be a repaint or retool

(If they don't have an image, they shouldn't put up any image at all. It looks like the store doesn't know what it's doing when they put up an image of a different product as a placeholder.)

And Megatron looks to be a redeco of Optimus Prime. Your point?GuyIncognito wrote:Based on the silhouette in the image, the Vehicon Jet appears to be... a Bumblebee repaint!

He really doesn't have one. Everyone knows what a placeholder is. He's doing this "just because".
I'd be more upset with Robotkingdom's inability to get their orders right. Who cares about a placeholder? When you don't get your stuff, that's the big thing. An image is the least of everyone's worries.

Sorry, Arms Micron universally have worse paint apps than the Hasbro versions, they get stickers instead.

I prefer BBTS.
Also, at least BBTS just puts the Prime logo if they don't have the actual image instead of confusing people!

And incomplete ones, at that. Ratchet's one of the worst examples. His inner leg is supposed to have red, which the US version does. The Japanese one does not. (It's odd. TakaraTomy is notorious for being sticklers on those details. You'd think they'd bend over backward to make sure a figure such as Ratchet blew our's out of the water, ya know?)

That's true, however, to be fair...BBTS has put up placeholder images of the incorrect silhouettes before. Especially with DOTM. I had a horrible time figuring out which number went with which Deluxe. Because of that, it was almost last minute before I got my preorders for Soundwave and Que in.
People must've complained. RK won't cave to the pressure. Believe me, they're rather difficult to deal with.

I know of an IDW comic for Prime. Does Swerve make an appearance in it? Hot Shot?

Nope.
Can't wait for the Jet Vehicon to come out, gonna try to get two or three of it, along with two or three of its car brethren. Hoping for Decepticon Miners to come out, as well!

Nor do Ironhide, Kup, Rumble, or Dead End. If Hot Shot, Ironhide, and Rumble make it into the show, I'll buy them, but for now I'm passing.

I'd like to think it'd be a Micron who transforms into a spiked-mace, but given Takara's recent lunacy I'd say it'll likely be a pair of sandals.

Except that ,this time, Hasbro's toys will have the better paint apps (by simply HAVING paint apps).freaky777 wrote:I was right to trust that Takara would bring Voyager Megatron, good thing I hold out on buying Hasbro's. But I'm quite surprised that they have a repaint(Swerve) so fast and it's back to back, just 3 figures apart. I have more faith in Takara anyways, especially after the DOTM incident, Hasbro really failed.

Yea you're right about that, but for me I really wanted the Arms Microns. And the stickers are not that bad after trying them (of course I prefer paint apps!).

Blurrz wrote:I find it comical that Prime's parent toyline, Animated, featured a vast cast and there weren't enough toys to cover the cast. With Prime it's the complete opposite, despite having two molds for the main cast of characters.
Show's not over yet, nor is the killing spree. I don't know if we'll see a toy for every character. Or, if we do, we'll have to pay exorbitant prices and jump through hoops to get what we need.
I was willing to buy the Deluxes of Prime and Megatron for the human trio. I'm not willing to do the same for Silas and his henchman, no matter how much I want them in my collection. I won't be stuck with two Starscreams and two Bumblebees, no matter how awesome the molds are.
It's costly and it's a storage pain.
