To be clear: here, when they say "Buy 2, Get 1 Free", it means if you buy 2 at full price, you get a third free. Says so on the tag too So it's not 2 for the price of 1, but 3 for the price of 2.

Oh boy! If my Junkion Hunt takes me to a Walgreens that actually has 3 different Authenics in stock, I...still probably won't bother. I mean, my first Starscream was the Classic Pretender, whom this Screamer really reminds me of, and if I had three, I could dye up a Transformer Legends Thundercracker and Skywarp, and the trio could do a memorial fly-over of my nearest dying Sears (see, the 4 Classic Pretenders were released without their shells as a Kmart exclusive subgroup called "Transformer Legends"), and--

Yeah, still no. If I break my rule for no Seeker collecting outside of the Classic Starscream mold this year, it'll be for Cyberverse deluxes.

That's just Walgreens being Walgreens. If you want anything that is on a sale price at that store you need to have their rewards card. It free to sign up and you can do it at the register, so don't let that deter you if you want in on this deal. Note, Wreck Gar is at regular price, so no card needed unless he goes on sale at some point.

I'm actually curious about Starscream and Megatron but it doesn't matter because I haven't seen any of these anywhere.

Walgreen's Reward card is nice. The points rack up quickly. I have a nice balance I've been sitting on, waiting to use it on Wreck-Gar. Should bring him down to below regular price.

At about $4.60 a pop, these little guys are more tempting. They'ed make fun little desk fiddlers for work. I like Megs and Starscream, but who would the 3rd be? Prime or Bee?

Grimlock is not part of that size class assortment (in the US right now), you only have 4 choices for the buy 2 get 1 free so your third is either BB or Optimus.

Getting 2 Starscreams might be your best bet. Walgreens distribution is weird. I've been to 12 different Walgreens over the past few days keeping an eye out for Wreck Gar, but also looking at these. I have yet to see more than 2 different characters in the same store. 2 Primes with 2 Bees, 2 Starscreams with 2 Megs. Never more than 4 total and never 2 different ones.

So the whole Buy 2, get 1 free is pretty useless unless you wanted more than 1 of the same figure.

I agree with Cobotron, Walgreens is always giving me money on things I buy anyway. And by money I mean points, which turn in to Walgreens money.

That said, I've never seen these guys in person but sub $5/ea net for them would be worth it!

Since nobody mention it here yet, thought i'd do it. Found authentics voyager size megatron on retail yesterday.

This is the best authentics figure so far, IMO. Besides obviously bigger version of the smaller one, it had a bit more improvement.
In tank mode, his head actually folded in.




in robot mode, he looks identical with the smaller one, except with more details. He has additional ankle tilt and waist rotation, so his articulation is the best among all authentics figures.




lastly, size comparison with grimlock.

That Megatron seem pretty decent.

Fellow Seibertronian Bacem picked up a toy that has been lingering on US shelves for a little while now, Authentics Megatron, the bigger one. There has been very little info about it out there so we wanted to share with you the images the user took. Like that you can get an idea of what this is a voyager sized toy at a deluxe price point has to offer.

Yes! I love this thing! It's so simple yet good in all modes.
Tank mode's a bit okay but presentable. Good articulation and very nice robot mode.

I love the first version so much I bought 4 to make a small Megatron Army.
The Beeftank was their leader first, but this will be their new leader.
Or I'll just start a voyager sized simple transformation great looking Megatron army.

Hasbro needs to do this more, just upsize some great scouts and legion/legend/cyberverse
figures.

There's a tiny cyberverse Optimus Prime out there with the perfect transformation.
Voyager size it up and give it knees Hasbro pls.

Door a figure thats that size he is more than likely more detail, transformation whise, so I wouldn't mind the $30 Voyager class figure price. that is fair, because you are obviously not the target market of this figure. These are marketed for dollar store, for younger kids in particular, not for collector. It just so happens that there are collectors that attracted to these as well. Nobody's forcing you to buy them to begin with.

Didn't really care for Megatron that much when we first saw him, just wasn't crazy about the shoulders, but it's growing on me. Maybe I'll check Big Lots this weekend.

you are correct about the shoulder. The range of movement is limited due to parts clashing against parts.

Which retailers are carrying this Voyager-sized Authentics Megatron? I might want to acquire one for my shrine to his glorious-ness.

This toy line is super weird.

They're for smaller "variety" stores so you'll want to check places like Walgreens, Big Lots, Family Dollar, and Dollar General. I've seen them at BL for sure.

Oh boy! A scavenger hunt. Thankfully I know of a couple near me that would be good places to check. I am gonna go hunting this weekend then for sure once the temperatures are no longer like the ice planet Hoth from Empire Strikes Back outside here. Thanks for letting me know!

They usually tweak the upsized versions from the original mold. Bee and Prime got elbow joints, they weren't useful but they are there.

Here's a full and proper video review of Big Un Megs that really shows the changes they made in up-scaling the figure.

Dang, totally slipped my mind that I was going to do this. I was right next door as it sits right between the grocery store and Dollar Tree, both of which I went to Friday. Maybe next week.

one note that are not mentioned on the instruction (surprisingly), is that the feet can actually slide out, and moves out of the way further, which gives the shoulder more room to maneuver, and makes the transformation less fiddly.

Following the surprise release of Bravo Class Megatron in the Transformers Authentics line, ChuckDawg1999 brings us a video review of his wave mate and another surprise release in the form of Grimlock! This Grimlock is down scaled from its Alpha Class release so is more pocket money friendly then you would normally find for similar sized releases in the other Transformers lines.

Is it bad that I keep forgetting these guys even are a thing? These guys could be so much better but they just come across as cheap. I don't own any of these toys so I can't speak on terms of their quality but they're just so hollow. I guess it makes sense since they're only a few bucks.

Also the figure looks okay, but it certainly doesn't make me say want to say "Bravo!", more like "Cool, ...I guess?"

the plastic are surprisingly solid and sturdy, should be able to withstand children's rough play, and all the joints are tight and nice. But yeah, when you get a deluxe sized figure for $5 and voyager sized one for $10, i don't think we can really expect too much at that price points.

10-12$ is pretty cheap for a figure that big.

Am I missing something but how is this new news? I have had the smaller Bravo Class Grimlock for weeks now, I have never seen this Alpha class one in stores.

Considering they are cheaper and bigger then their more advanced brethren in the Siege and Studio Series line, I think those that are on that budget level will be thankful.

On the German Brandora website, we have some images of the never before seen Transformers Authentics Titan Changers, branded for Generations! Titan Changers are large, very simple Transformers, with limited articulation and paint, for a low cost, and were often sold for the movie lines and Robots in Disguise '15. The characters utilize Emiliano Santalucia's evergreen design, which have been used previously for Authentics, as well as the Cyberverse cartoon!

The characters presented are Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Bumblebee, all who were set to release in May 2019, though none have shown up yet. While there is no set price, you think these toys are worth it for kids? Tell us your general thoughts in the Pub forums below.

I'll be blunt. Those look like TRASH in all modes. However, if they are solidly built, cheap, and big, those will be pretty damn awesome for lil' Jimmy's first Transformers.
