Thanks to Seibertron.com’s Shinobi Render, a blue version of the
Transformers Movie Starscream was spotted on
AC Toys. This particular version has a resculpted head that is different from Starscream’s. The color scheme appears to be similar to Thundercracker. Could this be Thundercracker? At this time, it is unknown where this figured surfaced from. It could be a fan made toy, however, we do know that additional Movie characters will be released this summer. We’ll keep you posted of the latest developments.

Yup, that's been the rule since 2002. That and "turn every Optimus Prime toy ever made into Ultra Magnus" and "reuse crappy molds to make crappier toys in order to flesh out a line."

The head DOES have Seeker properties (such as the vents on the top ridges) but it looks like his face was melted. Did this guy look into the Ark or something?

It's Thundercracker after he was Scourge. He decided he liked the old wizard beard and mustache so much he kept it.

This face/head is MUCH better than Starscream's ugly mug. With that head and paint job, this mold might actually work as Thundercracker. I know I won't be getting Movie Starscream, but this might be worth getting, if it is real.

Wow, maybe Hasbro listened and will give us a full Seeker Set.
It would be the wrong mold to do it in, but then again, we are talking about Hasbro, I've given up on them getting it right long ago.

Being a big fan of Thundercracker i'm liking the color scheme.
And the head is a definite improvement on the Waspinator Head Starscream has. My only beef with this mold is the lack of actual hands. But hey. Its Blue, i really hope it a real movie figure.

One thing that worries me is that these movie figures which don't appear in THIS movie may be introduced in any sequels. Thing is, I really doubt that the designs used in the movie will simply be repaints of Starscream. More likely brand new designs. So we would get new toys put out and one that was 100% non movie accurate.

That doesn't look official to me. I'd like to be wrong, cos the colours and the more humanoid face rock.
Then again, the humanoid face and colours make me think fan kitbash.
I don't know. Let's just wait and see.

I like the head. Much better than Starscream's. As far as the possibility of it being fan-made... That blue don't look painted on. It looks like the color of the plastic, so either it's a high-quality kitbash or it's the real deal.

I still think Starscream should be renamed Waspinator. Who knows, maybe they were thinking of the "Beast Wars" episode "Possesssion", when Starscream possessed Waspinator, when they designed this one?

Grain of salt until we get more than just a head shot, but frankly, this mold seemed more Thundercracker-y than Starscream-y to me anyways. I'd have preferred a darker blue, but overall, not bad, and I'll probably pick this up.

I wish movie Starscream had that head. Not only does it look like a G1 Seeker's, it's scarier too. If Starscream had that head, I don't think I'd hate his design anymore. He would actually be, you know, Starscream.

That looks pretty spiffy. I approve of the muted blue- it still ought to look like a proper military vehicle in jet mode rather than something straight out of a cartoon. Er... apart from the massive rocket launchers and underkibble, of course.
I'd question the idea of this being a kitbash, though- since the mould hasn't been *released* yet and only a handful of test shots and prototypes are actually in the hands of fans, would someone really remove the head off such a precious and/or flimsy item, whack a custom head on it and paint the whole thing different colours? It's a hell of a piece of work for a custom, too. I see no reason not to classify it as 'genuine' until further pictures/testimony appears.

This guy makes me think of the G1 incident when Scourge held the Matrix.
He kinda looks like that, all bubblie and crazy.

If this is a fanmade creation, then there are more than one of these guys lurking around. I hit up a toy store in Shanghai yesterday which had both the blue and the tan versions. Sadly, I did not see the robot mode to verify any redesign elements, but the jet was most assuredly blue. Here's to Thundercracker! Yay!

This head's a dramatic improvement. And it's actually menacing, instead of alien weird. Here's to hoping we not only get a Skywarp out of that mold, but a cartoon-colored Starscream as well.

Probably because Bay and co. are responsible for the movie and Hasbro is responsible for the toys. Hasbro can do whatever they want with repaints, but will probably want (maybe even be legally obligated) to produce a movie accurate Starscream.
