i still dont understand why people gotta show their receipts for proof. i mean even if the person were lying, least the photo shows the toys are there right?

but also, how sad would someone have to be to post photos and lie about them being available? lol

anyway....i'm tempted to get prime because he's even more movie acurate but nah...i got all the 1st movie toys i wanted and i'm done. lol

Cool. At least Megatron is a totally different toy. We knew this already I know, but it's nice to see in person. With 8 billion of each produced I don't think I'll waste my money on any of them until they are on clearance. Except maybe Jetfire.

I want Prime but im going to wait since the Leaders always linger on the shelves. Starscream id pick up. Megatron will be a clearance pick up for me. Where were these found? It would help to know the state that way we can figure out when they might arrive in our areas.

I see they've colored prime's red shoulder thingies into gray/silver.cool! i hope same goes for the red ones on his feet.

Megatron, sadly, is a guaranteed shelfwarmer.

Jetfire would be too, if it weren't for the fact that he combines with Prime.

Optimus is pretty much the star of the show, so he's a guaranteed sell out.

You'll see Megatron on clearance, but Prime and Jetfire, if I were you, should be must buys right now.

You might not get the clearance sale you're holding out hope for. Like Counterpunch says "Pay now, or Pay later." He's right.

It's been my experience (and my area isn't the best gauge for this kind of thing, but it does give me an idea of how bad it can be in a lot of places...) that Leaders sell, no matter who the character is. Even Megatron finally sold out. The only two figures in that class that struggled with sales were the All Spark Powered Brawl repaint, and the Nightwatch Optimus. (But finally Optimus sold out.)

I would just hate to see anyone get left out.

As far as we know, the feet are still red. A silver Sharpie, however, will take care of that quickly.

well, here's hoping I find the last few ANIMATED and UNIVERSE figures I'm chasing shortly, I'm nearly outta time. and then let the savings comence!

Im gonna wait till the leader fig so down on price too last year I got leader brawl for $20 ,but i want starscream i like his tribal tatooes.

I'm not falling for this again.

No Movie purchases until the Premium line is revealed and/or there's so many decaying on shelves, they mark them down; only exception would be for store exclusives. I'm not picking up Prime unless he's repainted into Ultra Magnus or Nemesis Prime Colors. I already have the Takara Premium version and Nightwatch from the 1st movie, so that's more than enough.

Wait wait, aren't they breaking Hasbro rules by putting them out early? I mean the official release date is supposed to be the 30th of May, not the 31st of April

i got sucked into buyin the FAB class in 07 ...i already got jolt of ebay only because i didnt know if he would be released as a deluxe

$12.88 for FABS! Horrible price for ugly figures.

Awesome as so many of these toys look I find two things happening as I look at them.
1. Cursing the fact that I no longer work at Target and have moved to a small town with no way to even go looking for them except a wal-mart 45 minutes away.
2. Finding that my wallet is strangely happy because of the reasons in 1....

$12.88 for a FAB? ok this is getting out of hand. Well there goes finding the Universe and Animated figures ive been looking for. Because the movie figures are coming out the stores wont be ordering any more of the last figure sets. This is why we're seeing these out early. Theres no stock to put out but these. I knes this movie was going to screw up more than just the franchise. Guess im going to have to order from HTS after all.

Not because he got them but because he showed everyone on the interwebz and now all the Fred Meyers in Spokane put back all of their phucking ROTF toys!

I live about 2 hours south of Spokane and was expecting to go up today and just called to put some on hold and they said they realized their mistake from a HASBRO REP yesterday and put away all of their toys into storage...

We never had any guarantees that the remaining Animated figures would come out now, anyway.

Hasbro said 2009, and there's a lot of '09 left. I have a feeling we'll see Animated during the Fall when ROTF has left theaters, most of the hot toys have been sold and we're stuck with straggler repaints and the like.

Think back to TF07 for a moment.

June 2nd:

Desert Brawl (Leader Class) went on clearance EVERYwhere.
Ultimate Bumblebee either sold out due to them only ordering one or two cases, or quickly shot down the clearance meter to prices as low as $15-20.00!

All Spark Power sold terribly. (I mean terribly)
The only ones that sold out? New molds.
Even the Premiums at that point were easy to find. I was finding Bumblebee and Barricade Premiums several times, when just a few months prior, I couldn't find either one in stock anywhere. (not even online)

ROTF seems to be shaping up the same way.

I said all of that to say this: Animated will be new molds, fresh blood pumped into the TF line by the time late Fall/Christmas comes around to help ensure it sells.

Kids will have already gotten most of what they've wanted/parents were willing to buy, at this point in time. Christmas is coming, so the Deluxes could be stocking stuffers. Collectors will want 'em (because if Hasbro denies us a car mode Arcee, we'll have their heads)

So yeah...if we see them, they'll be Fall/Holiday season time releases, well after ROTF had it's big debut.

I agree. I wasted so much time and money for a ton of the first movie figs, and they all sit away in storage as I have no room, and they are not my favorite line. Sales, coupons, and clearance may sway me to pick up a few here and there, but NOT like last time!

Just a warning to those that may purchase the Leaders. Hasbro has brought the quality down on them. I handled the ROTF OP Leader at the recent TFCon and the quality of plastic is cheaper and lighter weight. Also the rubber tires are gone and replaced with hollow plastic ones. Overall you are paying the same price or more than the TFM mould release and the product for the ROTF line is not as good. I cannot comment on the deluxes and voyagers but it would not be far fetched to expect the same decrease in quality.

This is Hasbro's response to a 47% share drop. IMHO fans will not be happy with this

I don't know if the lower quality thing is across the board though. My Voyager Starscream is an excellent, sturdy piece.

Though...to be fair, he's also not as intricate as Prime is.

It may be only the Leaders then which is a small level of comfort.

I have just come back from Yuba City, CA and some of the ROTF FAB stuff (Or something similar) are on the shelves, none of the Transforming types at the moment.

The point of showing the receipt is to demonstrate a retail purchase (whether it was supposed to happen yet or not) had in fact occurred, and that it isn't some ape winning an ebay auction or whatever. That would at least be the point if I were to do it.

You forgot to mention the empty shelves in between the lines. Im not talking about the figures that have yet to be released. Im talking about the ones ive been looking for for about 3 months now. Animated isnt going to return. We'll be lucky if they use the unused molds in a new univers or classics line. Think you put my statement in the wrong context. I see where your coming from and your right. Any new animated will be around in the fall with a frak load of movie repaints but none of the molds im currently looking for will return.

i want the leader optimus prime and we all no this is a big improvment over the 1st one

Could this have been a mistake made by some stores? I bought Beachcomber today at Wal-Mart, and didn't see any ROTF stuff. Maybe the stores these photos are from just put their stuff earlier than they should have.

That's exactly what happened. This is why you're not seeing any in stock just yet.

Gee what a suprise a retailer slips on the realease date I'm just gonna get preview Bumblebee next week and wait til the 30th to get the rest of them.
