People on various places throughout the web claim to have 1st hand knowledge that animated will be done after season 3.
I also recieved some emails from awhile back that animated was also being canceled after season 3 is finished.
I guess we will find out what the fate of animated will be at Botcon.
Remember Botcon is the place were animated was the place were animated made its debute and was officially announced.
Now it could be the place were animated gets the axe.
But what many peopel including my self wanan know is what is next after animated is finished.
Will it continue on as a trilogy fashion like the unicron saga was.
Or is Animated finished once and for all done for good and the next series will be totally new and diffrent.
No one knows and no one will know until something is said or announced at Botcon.
But hey what if nothing is announced at botcon what could this mean, does it mean they had season 4 done already and kept it secret from everyone hey no one really knows yet.
Remember animated had a long break between season 2 and 3 almost a year or so.
Also remember they were no re-runs at all in season 3 none.
Well i cant wait for animated this morning I am going to set up and watch it.
Playing my game right now anyways Devil Summoner 2.
Lets just watch what could possibly be the last episode for animated and see how it will possibly come to an end and see what they have in store for us at Botcon.
Whatever the case is I really have enjoyed animated rather it ends or not it has been a hell of a ride and it really suprised me.
I though this series was going to be a dorky kiddy show like foster due to its unique art style.
But the next series will have alot of work if it wants to keep up on par with animated.

I don't think anything could follow up or improve on Animated. Not even a cartoon set in the movie or classics universe.

I hoped this wouldn't happen. I wished with all my might.
At least he died a hero.

I was expecting a Clash of all Autobot and Decepticon forces on Earth and Cybertron (or Seibertron if you prefer)
Instead, we got a couple of clones, the allspark and a Prime/Megatron battle.
If this is the ending, it sure was lacking.
Too many unsolved questions
I love the Matrix at the end around primes chest!

That was the worst season finale!!
It's so anti-Epic!!
It's a good episode but compared to the season 1and 2 finales season 3 which was the best ENDED us a DUD.
Prime did not become supreme leader and NO all out battle with ALL Autobots and Decepticons.
Unless they make more series with this continuation, Animated just fell short with that ending.

Just because it didn't end the way you wanted to doesn't mean it wasn't an awesome finale. It made sense. Megatron wanted to annihilate the planet that held him captive for so long before taking Cybertron. It falls in line with his character really well. Prowl's death was very well done, he definitely didn't go down like a sucker. I sort of saw it happening differently and being foreshadowed more by what Yokitron said earlier in the season, but it was still good because he understood what Yokitron meant when he died. Anything that wasn't completely covered and answered was done enough that we can all assume what will happen next. The Decepticons were so dependent on Megatron that they won't be able to do much to gain any power with him now in custody. I could see where season 4 would pick up with the Decepticons gaining a new leader (Galvatron??) but if this is it, I for one have my closure.

We all know that in G1, even after the defeat of Unicron...there's that epic party on Cybertron where things are lookin pretty peachy for the universe ('TIL ALL ARE ONE!), and it would have been really easy to leave it there...much in like Star Wars...Kill Palpatine, and Vader and everything bad is taken care of. For the longest time I assumed that all the heroes went to Endor to get down with some Ewoks, and that was pretty much it...Luke and Han and everyone just went on vacation the next day...
We all know better though...all of the epic franchises know well enough to tidy up those loose ends...it's part of what makes it such enjoyable fiction...the details...the DEPTH of a story that shows the user/viewer/reader there is more to it than just the good guys winning and a big crazy party at the end. That is what bothers me about the "end" of this series...after a few seasons of nothing but details and connecting the dots, the finale is exactly the opposite...almost senseless. My best guess is that the writers were upset about not being able to continue with what was likely ALOT of ideas, and that influenced their writing as a whole..."Oh, we have to end it now??? Ok, sribble scribble F-U, here ya go...enjoy the disappointing response from fans."
Someone with alot more money than us makes all those decisions, and that's their right to do so, but in my ideal universe, it is those who are most dedicated and interested in the story that would determine when it ends.
I got up early (as I have done every other saturday before this) to watch Transformers...it was just like being a kid again...but THIS saturday I walked away from my TV feeling rejected, and a bit depressed after watching Prowl and Starscream die. The plot made sense, but the whole purpose to designing the plot the way it was eludes me completely.
I need more coffee...

Dude that's not that many, especially if you're counting minicons and legends...
Anyway, after finishing the episode, I think I feel what everyone else does. Rejected. It was a good season finale, but not a good series finale. So many questions left unanswered, and above all, it just felt rushed in my opinion. However, that fight between OP and Megs was pretty badass. But Prowl's death leaves me heartbroken...

Animated just leaves too much open to where it needs either:
A. A fourth season
B. An animated movie
C. A new series that is in the future
I mean don't forget we still got many questions and plot holes thanks to how this series goes. I mean between the reaming Decepticons, the Dinobots, the "Preadecons" Ultra Magnus recover, the fate of Cybertron now that they have a somewhat complete allspark, the other fragments left in the clones, maybe even in Omega, Soundwave still living it up (Most likly having to get a DJ job now) I mean if this really is the last episode then they would have been better off just making another movie (Aka three episodes) then just the two.

I think what he meant was that he had 50 Prowls, not 50 TF's. My guess, anyways.
I agree 100%. I suspect when it was written they didn't know if it was going to be a season finale or a series finally. There are enough unanswered questions that a fourth season could be concieved (a 'Con escape is easy enough; UM's future; Sari's roots; the Starclones; a new 'Con leader; Op's status as leaader/hero overwhelming Sentinel; Sentinel possibly pulling his head out; Blackaracnia's status; the Dinobots; Wreck-Gar- though I suspect he and the Starclones could be explained away the same way they killed Starscream, by removing his Allspark shard). So who knows? This show has been kind of a surprise hit with us fans...much in the same way Beast Wars endeared itself to us. And the ratings are still very very good. I could conceive of them continuing the show, but not the toy line. However there are enough figures they could make still (Omega, Arcee, Rodimus, Strika, Ironhide, etc.) so I guess we wait for BotCon to get final word and see what the future holds.

I hate that the show is ending because I'd love to see where it goes next. I don't see how any new series they come out with could match it or top it in quality. Also, am I the only one that saw a mysterious ghostly figure rescue Optimus? Any ideas who/what that was?

Hope the third season dvd kit comes out soon, here in The Netherlands we don't have it on tv with normal voices
Great series, hope they'll make a closing movie or a long mini series á la Five Faces Of Darkness.
Great stuff, hope they make all Starscream repaints, and that female one to.

What? You spoiled my most magnificent Ending?
Noooo!
I have speculated a theory on how Prowl ultimately survived the fate I have yet to witness.
Ho!Ho! Ho!
Mate I don't even care if this is the end of Animated. Or Prowl.
I've got the DS video game heading my way courtesy of Amazon.co.uk for under £10. And there it shall live for all eternity.
That is special.
Prowl thou art Chunin legend.
I leave with excerpts from the Prowl School of Cyber-Ninja in posthumous memory.
*salute*
Once he came back online, Prowl began a processor over matter technique to disable his stasis cuffs, which would theoretically work if he had completed his training. Fortunately, it did work, and Prowl was able to throw a shuriken at Prime's stasis cuffs as he was being thrown through the space bridge.
To cause his hotheaded side to emerge and transform into a tank, Prowl suggested that Bumblebee use his greatest strength— his obnoxious personality.
Jazz and Prowl are meditating in some woods. Jazz intructs Prowl to search for the All-Spark "groovin' all around them". As Prowl concentrates, bright sparks from nowhere light up and begin forming an All-Spark fragment, causing Prowl to comment that the All-Spark "literally is all around them."

I really liked Prowl's death. He's got some parallels with Dinobot (Starting off as a bit of a jerk, but eventually dying a hero), and he totally killed an overrated character in the process! It's also really nice to see Omega Supreme and Arcee back to full functionality.
Shame about the rather shallow cast during the main fights, I would have liked to see more robots involved, although they might have died. Dammit son, this is war.

While I do believe that there should be something to give the series good closure, I doubt the new series on Discovery will be connected with Animated.
As for Omega, there aren't any plans for an Animated Omega Supreme figure.
