Windblade is pretty nifty. My only complaint with her is her lack of head movement. But she's a pretty design, and pretty well colored and painted. Gimmick is pretty fun too. I also appreciate the amount of articulation on her, considering she was an old warrior too. I like her, she looks great with Bee.
Jetfire is also really fun. It was a competition between the spark armor and warrior one, and the spark armor looked cooler, had more play features, and matches Sky Byte in size. I like the white and red used on him, it's very sharp. Transformation is also pretty fun. I like the robot mode a good bit. The only real complaint for me on him is the tank treads, which are hindered by the wings, and they don't really fit nicely anywhere else.
Good additions. Now I'm down to needing a Scout Wheeljack, scout Shadow Striker, Iaconus, and Thunderhowl. And hopefully the rumored ultra Skullcruncher. and I need Thunderhowl to complete Maccadam.

I really like this figure, it's a shame they never went and repainted that mold again. I think it would have looked really nice stealth colors to go with Hot Rod.
Speaking of stealth I just now realized we never got a stealth Bee in this line. After Prime and RID I just assumed he got a Warrior class stealth figure in Cyberverse.

I think they saved that for the one-steps and scout. He got some stealth colors in those 2 sizes

Isn't it something they've done before for the cyberverse line? Looking at my TR Gnaw and the Cyberverse one sat side-by-side I can definitely tell that they used the TR version but altered and embiggened it. Or is that just my imagination?

Heres what Chuckdawg1999 has to say about Ratchet:
chuckdawg1999 wrote:It's a new One-Step figure and you know the drill. These are simplified figures that are meant more as fiddle toys than full "Bells and whistles" Transformers. In the Cyberverse line these One-Steps have the bonus of a little action feature. In Ratchet's case two blades can spring-loaded, flip out of Ratchets arms. For most of you, you've made your decision on One-Step figures already but for the rest, give Ratchet a chance.

Ham-Man wrote:So much play value here, I lost a lot of time on this one. Gimmick aside he is still a great Prime figure, it's rare especially in this kind of line for the gimmick not to adversely affect the playability and poseability.

He's quite a neat Ultra class! The amount of articulation in his legs and arms is really good, he's Siege level of posing. Still needs a head and waist, but he's seriously quite nice to move around! I love the wolf head sword too. Tail is a bit bothersome in robot mode, it kinda gets in the way, but it's not bad, plus you can use it as a scabbard, even if it and the cape clash a little.
He's really worth it. He, Clobber, and Rack n' Ruin have proven to be great ultra class figures. I'm glad those 3 got more effort put into them!

ZeroWolf wrote:I really hope they use him again in another continuity
There are multiple characters from recent shows that I hope get absorbed into the wider TF world, and he is certainly one. He was a pretty gun guy to have in Cyberverse, and I would not mind him, Clobber, Meteorfire, Hammerbyte, and Wild Wheel showing up more.

Sadly those characters dont go "autobots unite" on the show

She's way, WAY better than expected. Sure, there's the usual hollow parts and lack of articulations. Contrary with most other bots of her wave, she's great looking in bot mode with awesome colors that don't feel cheap. Plus that jet mode is surprisingly sleek and streamlined.
Finally the gimmick is funny. A jet with a propeller. Why not?

alt mode is shite, that we all knew. And you can't really do much with it since it's springloaded to transform.
But the springloaded transformation is really fun, I like how inserting the sword and then removing it triggers the transformation. It's great, very enjoyable.
robot mode isn't overly posable, legs are basially a wash due to the gimmick, though the arms are still fully posable. No head movement, as is the norm, but the detailing on this cyberverse figure is quite impressive. I really like how imposing the robot mode is. The shield is a little awkward since the tab is on the underside instead of side of the arm, but it still works. The armor looks pretty nice too, I'm tempted to do a little touchup work on it, it matches his armored headcrest nicely.
Overall, it's a nice piece. I enjoy it. I hope we get a good Titan sized figure of this War Titan some day

D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Got my Cyberverse Quintesson today. This is quite a lovely toy. While posability wise it's only OK, Engineering wise, it is the superior of the TR one. the using of the torso armor to form solid feet is really clever, and the headsculpt is pretty cool. i love that the spark armor is literally the skeleton of the croc head in green plastic. This is a nice toy. Only 1 Cyberverse figure to go!
That's a funny looking Quint
Is this the first in hand images of the toy?

The Cyberverse Ultra class has proven to be a mixed bag in regards to good toys, and a mixed bag in terms of characters. There have been some typical Transformers characters that have shown up in this class, such as Grimlock and Hot Rod, and also some atypical or even original characters, such as Rack n' Ruin, Clobber, Thunderhowl, and now Skullcruncher.
Skullcruncher proves to be of similar quality and playability as Rack n' Ruin and Clobber, proving a fun and satisfying experience while not quite living up to generations quality, and that is OK, this line isn't designed for the older audience. But the Ultras have still proven to be fun and worthwhile experiences.
The robot mode on Skullcruncher is pretty solid. It stand well, looks nice and imposing, and has a pretty nice headsculpt. Posing is limited, you can move the legs on ball jointed thighs and hinge knees, but that's about it downstairs. The arms can swing out and hinge at the elbow, and you can rotate the bicep around, but you can't really pose the figure pointing the weapons anywhere but forward, and of course there is no head articulation. But the figure looks good, so it's sort of OK.
The spark armor is the form of a Croc head, and it's really funny because the spark armor head comes right out of the actual croc head, implying Skullcruncher has a energon armor-esque Skull inside his head that can flip out, which is pretty dang fun.
The transformation is similar to the Titans Return toy, but it has some nice new features and engineering that help make a more stable croc mode and allow for a cleaner robot mode. I like that the back of the croc mode becomes solid heels, so this Skullcruncher will not fall over on you.
The croc mode is nice and big, and I love how solid and stable it is. It's quite cute while also just loud and obnoxious thanks to the colors. I love it! The mouth does not open, because the spark armor hinge is located at the front of the mouth, which is a shame, but still looks good despite it.
Overall, this new Skullcruncher is a pretty nice toy. I would say it is the 2nd best Ultra behind Thunderhowl, but it's still a really good toy. He also compares nicely to the Titans Return toy, and I would say he is the better engineered toy.
If this is a figure or character that interests you, go pick him up. He is worth the $20.

That's the point. Difference in style. I have the TR and G1 version of most Headmasters and I find that Cyberverse one surprisingly good. It's a difference in style but it work.
I'll be skipping because that Skully is not a headmaster and for the constency of my collection. But as a toy itself, I think it's actually better than the TR toy. Not in looks, but in playability. Less fragile, more stable, and most likely easier to transform.

The TR figure has a nicer look and detail, but to me, the Cyberverse one is the better engineered one. They definitely could have made this one mold a headmaster and it still would work, better than the TR one. There is no backpack, it has proper feet, and nothing is negatively impacted by this. I would love to see them use this style of engineering to make another headmaster Skullcruncher.
