In the December 2008 issue of
Figure Oh! magazine, there are pictures showing the upcoming TakaraTomy Encore releases of Trailbreaker and Hoist which will have blue eyes. Also it appears that Hoist will possibly be a different, lighter, anime shade of green than the original G1 release. The pics also reveal shots of Alternity Convoy, Exile iPod Convoy, Henkei Cheetas and Hound (Hasbro stock photos), E-Hobby Black Megatron and Sunstorm, as well as Disney Label Mickey Mouse Transformer.
Also, a preview image from the Henkei Galvatron manga is shown.

im dissapointed by the fact that if theyre gonna go to the trouble of reissuing trailbreaker and change the colour of his visor, why dont they go the whole hog and remould his head so its cartoon accurate?

That figured is a cross-promotion with a Japanese rock band named Exile. Perfect Year is the name of their current tour.

I'm glad it's a recolor. It helps save the value of the originals (which I have) yet gives those who don't have them the opportunity to have them so it's win-win. I just wish they'd have done this for all the reissues somehow. Just some little something here and there.

I actually like the blue visor a lot, although I'm still holding out for a Classics release of him.
They'll probably have to rename him slightly but I'm down with that.

Thx for the pics on these new things. I hope Encore will keep going despite the slowing global economy. People are spending less for sure.

They both look great, but i already have the Hasbro Hoist, so i will only get Trailbreaker.
Btw, why are some of you worried that these will bring down the value of the originas? You are getting these toys for fun, not as an investment right?
