Transformers fan, Tama, spoke with a representative from ToyCo last week at the International Tokyo Toy Show 2008 regarding the original Shockwave mold. As many of you know, ToyCo created the mold and Takara licensed the rights to use it in the 1980s.

Many fans are eager for Shockwave to be reissued, but the question has always been - is it possible? Tama from the Tokyo Toy Show asked-

Q: Who has the rights of the mold now?

A: Presently, the rights were transferred to the other companies and we do not think that there is a thing that can be resold by our own discretion as of now.
