Impossible, we've had Optimus and Grimlock.

awww, no seeker love? lol I've got Prime and Skywarp and I think besides the kibble Skywarp's a great MP.

I think you're the only person hoping he will be small!

They've all been great so far. Takara MP Prime is amazing in detail, heft and transformation. Magnus is a nice recolor. Despite his flaws, Megatron is pretty innovative and he does look really cool in his robot mode with his big old fusion cannon and in spite of his spindly legs. Grimlock is drool-worthy with all his cool gimmicks and eye-shifting. And the Seekers? Skywarp is my favorite, followed closely by Ghost SS, and then the other 3: Acid Scream, Thundercracker, and Wal-Scream. But yeah, 5 fantatic molds so far. I'm really glad I pre-ordered this. I can't wait for Rod to come in!

I doubt it, G1 Galvs is huge.

I asked Robot Kingdom on Facebook when they expect this in stock. They told me next Friday, yay. Also, it only cost me $180 from them. They also deliver to my address much faster than BBTS ever have done.

Anyone remember where he used a visor over his eyes? I remember that for Arcee, but not roddy.

Kibble wrote:I hope the colors are off in these pics, because it looks more like Arcee than Roddy...
He should be magenta. This looks pretty perfect to me if the colors are accurate.
Skyfire-5 wrote:Grimlock > Hot Rod
Grimlock is king now, but there will probably be a new king come the 29th.
Wheeljack35 wrote:I will wait to see if Walmart sells it
You're going to be waiting a long time as it was recently revealed he's going to be a Toys R Us Exclusive in the USA and UK.
puttster3 wrote:Anyone remember where he used a visor over his eyes? I remember that for Arcee, but not roddy.
When Daniel sees the hole in the Autobot Shuttle in the movie, Hot Rod uses this visor to get a zoomed in look at the shuttle, then starts attacking it while he still has the visor down.

I do want this figure badly, but I probably won't get my hands on him until my Tax Returns come in. There are so many things I want this year. Verizon iPhone 4, Nintendo 3DS and this. It's going to be one or the other.

I hope Hasbro has/will change its mind about bringing Rodimus Prime, not Hot Rod, over here.
And I hope he's affordable.

Hasbro isn't going to add the trailer as that effectively prices him out of most people's spending limit and any retailer from wanting to carry it because it ends up too expensive and too large.
So either make due without or buy the TakaraTomy one.

Upon further observation... forget it. I wouldn't buy it anyway.

I guess it's to much for Hasbro execs to lower the profit margin or take the monetary difference out of their own pockets? I wonder if the US directions will even mention Rodimus mode.

I think they will since he can still turn into Rodimus Prime in robot mode.

You forget that Hasbro is in it to make money, they're not going to sell a very large collector item and not expect to turn a profit on the cost to produce it. You're asking for way too much and either have to make due with the Hasbro version, buy the TakaraTomy one, or whatever. Hasbro isn't going to price this down, taking a loss on each figure just so you can get all that you want at a cheaper price. That's really a ridiculous question.
Skyfire-5 wrote:So what are the odds that a 3rd party releases a trailer for the Hasbro MP Roddy that would cost less than $140 and be more aesthetically pleasing (sans shell). What would a MP Protector look like? Would the rumored Targetmaster have somewhere to chill? Sorry purists, had to be asked.
Upon further observation... forget it. I wouldn't buy it anyway.
Why would anyone bother? Plus the MP Convoy trailers only came out because he didn't have one when he was first released, Rodimus will.
Plus the MP Trailer was like $60 or $90 for just an empty trailer (nothing inside of it). Anything more elaborate would be the cost (or more) of the figure with the trailer. Several websites had this item for less than $200 too (I think I'm paying around $150 for mine).
People just have to realize if they don't want to pay the price of the import they're not going to get the trailer. I'm sure Hasbro's decision was either no trailer or no figure at all, and I don't think people would like that second alternative.

I knew it was a pipe dream. I was just thinking in this day and age of corporate greed being shown to cause all the worlds ills that Hasbro would take a stand. I'm not even sure if it's Hasbro setting the price. Toys R Us, who are getting the figure, have set the bar for their MP at $60 and no higher. I don't think they want something more expensive. Another point, who says we're not getting a trailer? They might include a cardboard one in the box.

Huh? Corporate greed? In my opinion, greed is when someone wants a toy so badly that they want the company to sell it to them at a loss. Collecting Transformers is an expensive hobby, especially Masterpieces, which are designed specifically for collectors. Get used to it.

I know I know. Funny thing is I'll probably buy both.
