My thought exactly.
Still, the original G1 design is pretty "gundamish" so it get a pass.
Those figures are damn epic! And the price too...

Though its now amusing to think that despite all the work they put into it, the brave series would come to be owned by Bandai

And Bandai make Gundam.
At this point, it's no longer a circle. It's an ouroboros.

Would still kill for a proper gundam x Transformers story mind. O can see humans building mobile suits to fight Cybertronians on an equal footing.

Anyway.
Victory Sabre looks amazing! I know it's not Victory accurate but having the lion chest really makes him look even more awesome. I always thought the standard "platform shoes and a backpack" setup was kind of boring so this is a change for the better.

That actually makes sense, since there could have been licensing issues that they could only justify for a major character such as 'bee.
As much as I preferred the first MP 'bee, for the second one they barely homaged a real-world car, meaning they probably can simply repaint it without any additional fee, thus amortising all the engineering behind it on a new figure.
Yet, as stated before, I am no fortune-teller.

You're probably right, I saw the VW logo on the box of MP-45. I didn't remember it well, since I skipped that particular toy.

Honestly, Titanium is the best representation of the fallen there is that does not cost $400 bucks.
Transformers Titanium Series The Fallen Gallery
My only issues with it are his rubbery guns, and his non descript hand blocks. Outside of that its one of the better Titanium Figures, and i own G.I. Joe Megs. So I kmow.

A Fallen in any size class of Voyager or up would be great. Him and an actually accurate Nova Prime- I've never cared for IDW but he had such a cool design.
Speaking of old perpetually on fire comic characters that need new figures, when the hell are we getting a decent Sunstorm? A friend of mine had a cool idea of molding parts of him in clear orange plastic that had gold chrome applied to the inside, as if he were blazing with solar power.

Some, not called out as "The Fallen", but by his original name of Megatronus (Prime):
Transformers: Robots In Disguise Megatronus Gallery
Power of the Primes Bomb-Burst with Megatronus Prime
If you feel like customizing, in the Train Wars manga, he appeared as a redeco of FoC Onslaught:
Transformers Fall of Cybertron Onslaught Gallery
... with FoC Ruination's head for the combined mode:
Transformers Generations Ruination Gallery

There are several nods to him as pointed out. And of course this very $400 dollar figure.
And yes I agree he needs an update. A retool of Siege Megs would like work.

No, it's shit. It had potential but the over-abudance of die-cast ruined it like most of the Titanium line.

Of those nods, the non-toy FoC is the closest to the original Dreamwave one if I may add:

Flames and a knight-like visor or bust.

Well, it's good... as far as Titanium go. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
There's worst figures. There's better ones. Titanium Fallen is at least average in it's category. This ain't saying much.

Through the post, they've also announced that preorders will open for this kit on December 12th, at 12 p.m. (Hong Kong time)!
This design, as the name suggests, originates from the IDW Transformers comic series, More Than Meets The Eye (later rebranded Lost Light).

The colors are a little too dark for my tastes, But this is probably a painted sample, Versus the plastic molded coloring one that'll be released.
I'm happy this great design finally has an official figure (obviously non-transforming, But that's a small price to pay, IMO).
Will be preordering the minute it goes up.
Also planing to do a review of it when it comes out, So watch out for that.
Oh, Also gonna need a black/purple repaint.

My favorite too.
On the note of other Autobot Megatrons, There was that Combiner Wars one, But that looked nothing like Autobot Megatron (And was officially sold as Decepticon Megatron), And just inexplicably came with an Autobot symbol.
I always hoped that since the whole Autobot Megatron thing was done so well, That people would eventually get over the initial knee-jerk reaction.. But the very concept is so subversive to what is expected (Which is one of the reasons I like it so much), That some people still have reservations to the idea.
From Hasbro/Takara's point of view, They probably see Decepticon Megatron as a safer bet; What sells easier.
If more ambiguity is portrayed in Megatron's motives in future media, More people might warm to the idea, But as of now, I wouldn't expect any Autobot Megatrons from HasTak anytime soon.

I do have the CW Megs with his Autobot symbol on, have had him that way since I bought him. That one in particular is and will remain my transforming Autobot Megatron
