Don't care about Galvatron.

Cyclonus looks great!

Hot Rod looks like a KO.

EEEE GAD!! i dont know what to say about this one, but ill try:

Galvatron: His bot mode doesn't look that bad, but his tank mode is aweful!! It looks like a off-whitish blob with a orange thingy sticking out! (no pun intended) Henkei still has the best version i think.

Cyclonus: He looks ok, but still prefer either hasbro or Henkei figures compared to this one.

HotRod: i dont like the look or the colors! looks like something you would find in the toy bin at the kids day care. Again hasbro and henkie has best versions i think.

I like this set, if for nothing else but Cyclonus whom I never even saw in stores. Galvatron all in white in his alt looks a little odd but not too bad, and his robot mode is pretty good. Still not the best figure. Rodimus on the other hand could have really used more decos.

Hate to say it, but Galvatron is looking pr-etty dope...

Of course Cyclonus looks great too.

Hot Rod looks ridiculous. What the hell is going on with those color choices?

Never mind that, where's the translucent plastic? I need it!

Cyclonus is top-quality draw. Looking at it makes me wonder why I don't have Universe Cyclonus, Henkei Cyclonus, Gentai Strafe, or SG Cyclonus. Like wtf cake?

If this really is coming to Target, I'm aiming for all three. Here's a list as to why I want all three;

1. G1-inspired coloring on Cyclonus? Can't miss out on this now, can I?
2. I need a new Galvatron. Mine's leg keeps popping off during transformation from robot to tank, so hopefully this one has a more stable leg. :BANG_HEAD:
3. Missed out on Hot Rod/Rodimus when he came out in the Classics line. Galvatron's feeling a little lonely, as he needs his Autobot counterpart next to him. :-(

Galvatron actually looks really awesome. I'm stoked for this three pack.

As most here have said...

Cyclonus looks incredible, and almost makes the set worth purchasing on sight all by himself.

Galvatron isn't ALL that bad in robot mode, but that tank mode looks far too bland for my tastes. Wish they had dome some paint apps on his off-white parts to break up the monotony a bit.

However, to my tastes, Hot Rod isn't that bad at all. The mold colors, I actually like (the brighter reds, oranges, and yellows, combined with grays instead of blacks). I'd have liked to see some higher-contrast flames on his chest (though a Reprolabels sticker set will probably fix that). I don't like the opaque, allspark-blue windows... but that just means he'll stay in robot mode.

I love this by monday I'll know if I got one of the AA ones and if I didn't I'll order a set online.
The more I see of this set the more I like it!

My thoughts exactly, the orange and gray on Hot Rod re not bad, but the opaque windows are terrible.

Does anybody know if the windows are just painted over or if they are truly opaque plastic?

If I can find one of these I'll pick it up. Love the Cyclonus. And since I don't have a Galvy this will do.

The Cyclonus repaint may be more "accurate", but I still think the original Hasbro version is better looking.

I love the white Galvatron in bot mode; not so much in alt mode.

Rodimus repaint is fugly, especially the blue windows.

Rodimus looks better than I expected. I may not have to repaint him after all.

Cyclonus is just gorgeous.

Galvatron will just sit in the box and if anyone wants him, they're welcome to him.

I actually think Galvy looks really lame, especially in comparison to the Henkei release. Being predominately white with orange joints just looks bad to me.

But then again, I have a chrome fetish.

This set's nice for those who missed out on these three.

I agree with most of you, that bot mod Galvatron isn't bad.

You really can't mess up the Cyclonus mold, I'll take 50 of it please!

I must be the minority, but I really like the colors on Rodimus. Looks like he just walked off the cartoon screen into plastic form.

My kids are getting Galvatron and Rodimus, Cyclonus stays on my shelf!

Cast in "translucent orange" or opaque orange? If translucent Orange, then it may be possible to remove the blue paint.

It's not translucent, which is why he has no light piping and a painted missile.

I think Rodimus looks great. I like the grey hands. He looks very much like he did in the movie. I can't wait to get this set. Galvatron's botmode looks pretty good. Cyclonus looks great too.

Galvatron and Cyclonus look great. I'm one of the few in this thread so far who likes how Rodimus looks in this set, especially in bot mode. It may sound strange to some but I like toys that actually look like toys sometimes.

Hot Rod and Cyclonus look ace, Galvatron's paint apps look a bit messy though.

The more I see of Galvatron, the more I really like his Bot mode with these colors.

I like how Cyclonus looks, too. And thanks to hesitating about SG Cyclonus, I lack this mold.

Jury's still out on Hot Rod, but I have a feeling I'll pick up this set if given the chance.

The only thing disappointing about Rodimus to me at this point is the flame contrast. He'll make a nice Hot Rod to pose in front of my Classics Roddy in Protector armor (since the colors changed as well as the alt)

It's actually a Hasbro exclusive.

It's being convention released in Asia (China region, not Japan), and here in the States as a Target exclusive.

TakaraTomy has their own exclusive for the Japanese market, and the Philippines. The Sons Of Cybertron sets. One Classic, one Animated, both translucent plastic.

This Challenge At Cybertron set and the Sons Of Cybertron sets are not one and the same.

cartoon coloration Hot Rod? check

Toy color Galvatron? check

Cyclonus' armada? check

I shall purchase first chance.

Well, all of the Robot modes look great, but the only clear winner is the Cyclonus. His alt mode looks great, and even his Targetmaster gun is painted with more colors than the original one had. Galvatron and Hot Rod's alt modes look bland to terrible. Galvatron has like next to nothing in paint apps in tank mode, while the lack of additional flames and window color really bug me. That said, I will probably pick this set up anyway, just for Cyclonus alone.

I'm digging this set, Galvatron may be the weak point, but he still doesn't look horrible in robot mode. And I missed Rodimus when he first came out, so this is a great chance to pick him up. And this new Cyclonus turns my Universe into Armada.

With this Rodimus and the FansProject Protector armor, you can have the best of both worlds.

This youthful and exuberant coloring will be mostly covered by the darker colored Protector, which gives you Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime, and it's become more than just a bunch of armor on him.

ill have this set by sometime next week. im excited about it though, i like the fact that they all have movie accurate colors. this will be my first rodimus, which now gives me reason to want the protector armor. galvatron and cyclonus both look much better than thier classics 2.0 versions aswell

Not officially. Now that I think about it, Universe has now ended officially in the US, being replaced with Generations.

Via Auto Assembly's giveaway, Hasbro UK confirmed they got the figures they were giving away from Hasbro US, which confirmed it's a store exclusive, but didn't say what store.

I'd love this, as I'm don't have any of these guys, or even anything that's a close approximation of their G1 selves from any subsequent lines. Yes, Hot Rod's windows being painted blue is a little annoying, and I wish there was a bit more contrast between the hood and the flame decal, but other than that I really like the colouring here, more than either of the other two versions. Cyclonus continues to be an awesome looking toy, whatever shades of purple they put on him and even Galvatron looks pretty decent. Much better, in fact than the Classics version, for me anyway.

shame that it was given away at Auto Assembly because they don't intend to release it here officially. Then again, Hasbro UK doesn't even seem to be aware of the toys they are releasing, so there's hope yet.

Nope, they stated that this set won't be released in the UK other than the 30 for AA but that when it hits the US it will be a Target exclusive.

My preorder came in too but I had to cancel because I'm on vacation right now and can't afford it. It pained me to do so. :( Hot Rod does look great in robot mode, but those painted windows are terrible. Galvatron looks horrid. Cyclonus is the true standout for sure. But I already own a version of each, so perhaps it's best I saved my money for other things. If this is going to be a Target exclusive, perhaps it will show up at Zellers here in Canada.

It's part of the Hannah Montana theme song. My daughter loves the show.

I like this set. My only concern is mold degradation. Cyclonus and rodimus are getting the repaint reatment, Cyclonus the most with Classics, Henkei x2, and Shattered Glass, will there be issues with this version. Rodimus also has Classics, Shattered Glass, and Henkei x2. I'm holding Classics Rodimus and I'm trying to see if the opaque windows will have an effect on the toy as far as weight. The paint job is more 1986 Hot Rod and the best I have seen so far. I knew it wasn't a KO, but will it look like a KO is the question.

The Cyclonus is laways nice. Though the color scheme is meh because it's too similar to the Classics version. Galvie is OK, though I may get the Henkei version while it's cheap.
