Oh well, I'm skipping this line entirely (except for Prowl) because I have barely have a dime to my name anymore...

it's amazing how almost no robot parts are showing (except when you view it under the fuselage). the jet mode screams pure awesome, and except for the Jay Leno chin (will we ever get tired of this comparison?) the bot mode looks killer too.

But seriously, I actually like his huge frickin' chin. It makes his face look thin and sleek, which is perfect considering he's a jet, which is thin and sleek by nature.
And this toy just screams "Buy me!'. I seriously cannot live without this toy. The coolness of Starscream is too much to live without.

Might take some tooling but Energon DreadWing's noggin is going right on there
Also love the pic with him holding Megatrons head.

When will Hasbro quit with the stooopid mile-long missiles already?
Otherwise, great toy.

CrApnimated toys and design is the worst... they are not even Transfomers AT ALL
Posted by Bumblethumper on February 3rd, 2008 @ 8:38pm CST
That's one highly desirable toy.

HERE COMES THE CRIMSON CHIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But in all seriousness, this figure has good posability, and when I pick it up I'll probably use one of those poses.
Posted by Maldroth on February 3rd, 2008 @ 9:27pm CST
Really seems like an action figure that happens to transform rather than a brick that can look like a vehicle and a man.

I've been tired of it for months. It's nearly as overdone as the Spongebob references.

When parents stop worrying about their children choking on plastic rods short enough to wedge crosswise in the trachea.

What? You mean I'm not supposed to buy one of these toys and put it in the crib with a 2 year old baby then leave him there while I go watch TV thinking that the toy will keep an eye on my baby? How dare they let me buy a toy that's too young for my kid! I blame the lawyers...
In all however, that Starscream ROCKS. We haven't had that kind of poseability in a common-line Screamer since Energon...I love it

{snort}
Because a small, hard, spring-loaded projectile is such a good idea in the first place, especially with conveniently-placed triggers guaranteed to accidentally fire the missile while it's being transformed? And the toy is always so far away from the child's face while it's being transformed, doncha know.
I think launchable missiles are a bad idea in the first place, and when you don't have a large enough launcher to mostly conceal the unlaunched missile, then you should probably leave it off completely. Otherwise it just looks dumb.
Posted by Liege Evilmus on February 3rd, 2008 @ 10:24pm CST
Still I don't have a problem with the longer rocket, what bothers me is the short guns. Why can't they make a launcher large enough to hold more than just a third of the projectile anymore!?!

but he's still awesome and I can't wait to get him.
Actually, two of him.
And I dig the orange mouth.

Yeah. I'm just skipping these and the show. I'll save my money for 2.0.

cause if some fans don't like the head molds, they can pop it off the balljoint.
Though I like his headmold, it looks very Starscream-like.

Bingo, exactly what I was thinking. I don't think I'll pose him with the missiles inserted. It'll help ... a little.

I JEST, i hate those ridiculous terms, am i right in thinking they are used by 10-20 year olds these days??
With animated I feel TF toys have got better, i like everything about this toy, the colour works well, very suited to a main decepticon. Remember that SS original colour was simply the default realistic colour from his diaclone original. I feel this colour scheme would be better looking than the grey/blue/red G1 style (it would still work noice) esp as that blue really seems to bring out the 'cuts' in the mould.

Guess I'll just have to put little bags over their heads.

you could make teeny-weeny paper bags and put it over their heads on bot mode.
despite my previous misgivings about Animated Bumblebee, i think this is shaping up to be one heck of a solid line for us.
can't wait for TFTM to end and Animated to begin. oh yeah.

You're spot on with this figure.
Not only is it very easy to accidenatlly hit the triggers, they fire at the slightest touch.

Damn you for saying that!!!
Now I need a bunch of him!
1 to leave alone as thundercracker, 2 to repaint into Starscream and Skywarp, and one to make "classics" cyclonus.
I'm gonna be Sooooooo broke this year!!!
