I really like them very much that I would like to purchase them, but at that amount, and after including shippingcost, is at least to me, not worth it.

Optimus Prime = 9,800.00 JPY = 104.352 CAD
Grimlock = 12,800.00 JPY = 136.312 CAD
Too rich for my blood.

It'd be really awesome if Hasbro or Takara would license out the name "Action Masters" for a line like this. I think fans of the original Action Masters would go crazy for new stuff. I know I would if it was done right.

"Less detail"? Whaddya mean "Less detail"?! Look at all that complex sculpting all over his body! His crotch is more detailed than the 1988 brick.GuyIncognito wrote:So it's a non-transforming figure with less detail than the tranforming version... and let me guess, it only costs three times more than the transforming version. If they removed all the articulation and cut the legs off, they could call it a "bust" and sell it at double the price.

It's like some people think $100 for an action figure is never heard of... I mean Play Arts? Hot Toys? Figmas? LOl Japan's been charging $100 for action figures for a while now...

Just noticed Godginrai sporting a samurai. So this incarnation of his probably from Victory?

Good point, but after looking at the few Victory pics with him on tfwiki, they don't really seem to match up.

This redesign with a sword is more likely just Art Storm having some fun with his look.
Though, word is getting around that it might not be what we think it is. That is, not another EX Gokin figure, but something else like a model kit.

But this time no "Ginrai".
Model kit? Must be a very expensive one.

I surmised "Victory" incarnation because iirc, Ginrai never used a sword in Masterforce. A lot of the TFs in Victory either had swords, javelins and melee weapons.......not included in their original toys.

The inclusion of this figure's sword is probably just artistic license.

That artitistic license again Here it looks bad@ss but on MP Starscream ver.1 it kind of got screwed.
I do hope the reports are wrong that this is a kit. If this is the regular TF Ex Gokin, then I'm in!

Just a quick Photoshop halfassery to get an idea when it's finally coloured...

I'm looking forward to Arcee too. She's always been one of my favourite female robot designs (perhaps eclipsed only by Charming Drossel) and it's good to see a proper representation of her robot mode. I hope the headsculpt isn't too pointy though- one of my favourite things about her head design is how rounded, gentle and "cute" it looks, and a pointy chin could somewhat detract from that.

These new images of the now colored figure come from a post on twitter by the designer of Art Storm's EM Gokin line, Alan Moriguchi.
This is a stylized non transforming figure representing God Ginrai from the Transformers Masterforce series, who we know in the west as Powermaster Optimus Prime.
