For all you Optimus Prime collectors out there we have a deluxe double treat in our continuing effort to reach 2500 galleries in 2011. These figures are both exclusives.

First up for your consideration is the first Transformers Prime figure ever and is a preview to the upcoming full Transformers Prime line. The SDCC Exclusive Optimus Prime First Edition Figure comes in deluxe packaging that resembles the Matrix of Leadership and features incredible artwork by Marcelo Matere.

Transformers Prime

This next figure is deluxe DOTM Optimus Prime. He is a Wal-Mart exclusive and is the first earth mode deluxe Prime of the movie-verse. Like all DOTM deluxe and voyager figures, he comes with a MechTech weapon that folds out into his famous Energon Battle Axe.

FYI that Prime NEVER appeared in the movies. And that figure surely didnt resemble the protoform Prime we saw. So this is the first Deluxe Movie-verse Prime.

PS : That thing doesnt even resemble movie Prime in any way.

Deluxe DOTM Prime is an awesome figure

. Sure he have a huge kibble but that's minor. I really love how his transformation is similar to his classics G1 Deluxe counterpart

Deluxe Prime(Prime) is also awesome but I think I will buy the Voyager. The Voyager's chest look more "realistic" compare to this one.

DOTM is the first Deluxe Prime with an Earth Mode.

I acctually have him, and he's really not that bad of a figure. Well, after a little paint anyways

I've checked both Prime's new gallery and DotM Muflap's gallery as well since the weapons looked oddly familiar... and i refuse to believe how LAZY the Hasbro designers are.
They're seemingly cutting corners on costs by giving Prime a very minor repainted version of Mudflap's old Mechtech weapon. :-(

There aren't even any modification to the minor details, they could've tried to make the axe blades with transparent orange plastic but they didn't even seem to consider doing it.

Why did they refuse Prime get a unique deluxe Mechtech weapon of his own?

Both figures look like crap. I want to WANT to get the deluxe DOTM Deluxe Prime to go next to my Protoform Prime but I just can't bring myself to get it.

Wow- definite pass for me. The Voyager TF: Prime Optimus looks much better. Both of these are garbage. Does anyone remember when Deluxes were actually nice? Generations have a few but that's it right now!

Walmart exclusive Prime? I guess that explains why I got mine at Big-W
Can't wait for the Prime toys, altough I'll probably get Voyager Prime instead

They are similiar, but they're two totally separate sets of molds.

And I can't believe how many members try and justify a small oversight of the News Crew. I'm well aware of the facts you all posted, mind you :lol:

Looks pretty close to me, so no, he is not the first dlx movie-verse Prime.

Both look pretty good. I have dlx movie Prime, and I love him. Great figure.

Lunarfire Optimus Prime. He will be released along with an orange repaint of Roadbuster, Track Battle Roadbuster. We can expect him this Fall.

I think they look badass. I watch Transformers Prime on the hub and think he would look better if there was a metallic tint in the paint. As for DOTM Prime, he looks like a small version of the 07 leader class Prime, missing a few parts.

I've passed on this figure many of times, but I was really looking forward to seeing him in the galleries w/ DOTM Megatron and perhaps Voyager Sentinel....but ahhh...guess that's not going to happen?
