The shoulder kibble is awful.

I was going to get him (or the Henkei version) until I found that out.
Posted by Autobot032 on February 6th, 2009 @ 12:05am CST
Okay, he's beyond must own.
There's $13.00 I'll happily spend. It's a shame he doesn't come with the weapons though. (Not a big deal anyway, I rarely, if ever, used his missile launcher, and he couldn't really hold the engine gun without looking doofish.)
This one pwns.

Thanks. I wasn't too sure. Either way, he looks interesting.

I'm also worried that the last Universe figures won't reach the UK cos of the Movie line. That's what happened last time.

If that happens to be the case, BBTS is your best bet. Beyond that, I'm sure a fellow Seibs poster would be more than willing to assist you in finding the figures you need.
A polite call for help is all that's needed and those who can, will do their best to help out. I should know, I've had more than one member aid me when needed.
There's good people here.

definatly buy for me heel be my second armada figure in my collection i am actually surprised to say ill be getting the hasbro version & not the henkei they both almost look extreamly acute alike if you dont count the chrome on the henkei version

glazer wrote:like it a lot!- but do you think the Henkei's hotshot will have clear side windows- the painted ones- seem out of place when 70% of them are clear? i don't know maybe i'm just being pickyyyyyyyy.....
I'd say there's a 99.9% chance the answer is no...They chose to mold the door out of yellow plastic and then paint the window rather than mold it out of clear plastic and paint the entire door...As much as I hate when they make a toy with both clear and painted windows, it's probably for the best...Whenever they try to match paint with the same colour of opaque plastic it's always a fail...Look at Classics Bumblebee for a case in point...

If this doesn't sell you on the Universe figure, nothing will.
I don't think many people are really disputing the fact that he looks better than his original toy...But "not as ugly" doesn't really translate into "pretty"...

On the other hand, I love the bot mode. Does that visor flip down over his eyes?

Well, Peaugh doesn't have good things to say about the articulation and he's usually pretty fair/forgiving.
See his vid (about 3 mins in):

And Jolt doesn't even seem to stand up straight, even in this photo you can see they are propping him up with a board:

Or movie CC Bumblebee. I have a couple different version of that toy and none of them have doors that match the surrounding plastic.

Who said anything about a rocket launcher? As far as I know, neither version comes with one (sadly)
Posted by WolfDawg on February 6th, 2009 @ 10:36am CST
From what I can tell, the Henkei one looks WAY better as far and paint and accessories go. I've heard his playability sucks and he can't pose. I don't really care about that since I never play with my TF's, and I'm sure I can find a decent pose with him with those awesome rocket launchers. Needless to say, I ordered to the Henkei version (along with Henkei Dinobot).

The Henkei version apparently does according to a news story right here:
http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... olt/14822/
We'll have to wait until we get in box shots of Hot Shot to see if he'll also have the missile launcher's or not.
Of course if he doesn't, Henkei Hot Rod's price tag will skyrocket, as everyone will want the one with missile launchers. Though I find it doubtful than Hasbro wold not include the missile launchers with him unless there's absolutely no place to put them in vehicle mode, Hasbro hates stray accessories in any mode.

Yes like that, though from the picture its hard to say if theyr are really not included, or if they are just in the lower section and are just not visible in the picture.

Cryo Prime wrote:WOW im liking this guy more and more so i guess my only complaint is why the heck did they not do this for armada instead of the more or less non-articulated piles we got?
Two reasons...
1 ) Improved toy design and engineering since Armada
2 ) The designers of Armada were trying to completely reboot, and that meant capturing the eyes of the REALLY young kids, the kids who were heavily into Power Rangers and Pokemon and the like. A mistake when looking with hindsight, but it's a valid reason from the point of view of a business to make simpler, brightly colored molds.
