Wheeljack is the closest I'll ever be to owning a Lancia Stratos (my dream car) so this is pretty awesome.

Why would you assume it's fragile just because of the size? If anything, larger figures are more prone to breakage. In my experience, smaller figures are more durable.

It should be noted that this is a test shot and not the final product, but it's close, so the video will give us a good, solid idea of what to expect when the figure sees release towards the of this month. Also of note, he does not have Spike on hand, just Bumblebee.

Still not feeling this figure, somthing about it feels a little off. I dont really like the forearms, the gaps and the panels on the arms hurt the overall look, and I dont like how visible the arms are in alt mode.

Transformers: The Movie showed that Bumblebee was stationed with Spike on Moon Base Two. Daniel has always been paired up with either Hot Rod, Arcee or Wheelie.

never had to question the durability in the takara mp line? guess you never had Megatron or Rodimus prime... loose junky falling apart masterpieces oh and lets not mention soundwaves tapes

Alt mode looks pretty good but all in all nothing says masterpiece to me about this figure. It's just a properly made deluxe figure in homage to BB.
Also that Spike figure without any paint apps for the face.....that says it all right there.
This release is a huge pass for me. I know a lot of you like/love it but it really is a weak masterpiece.
I wouldn't pay more than 30 bucks for it even if i did want it.

Megatron was the only one I had problems with. Clips broke, tarnished feet. I have Rodimus V.1 and I have no real complaints with it. Soundwave's cassettes haven't been problematic, but Ratbat's mold is rather boring, I must say.
MGrotusque wrote:For me this is the most disappointing MP in the entire line. I very much dislike the bot mode but in this figures defense i've never liked G1 BB's bot mode.

I'm not going to lie...I will probably seek out the KO. I hate to say that, but as much as I want to, I can't justify this. Both figures are ridiculously small, scale aside, and Spike's a bit of a mess. I just...nah. And the US version, if we get it, will go for the same price plus I'll have to wait a year or more, no thanks.
Oh, and when I do get it, that mirror isn't going anywhere near the figure. It looks stupid, imo.

What would be nice is if Tomy can recreate those die-cast Diaclone pilots. They actually has detailed molded faces.

Takara does make more toys than just Transformers. Why not just have Takara themselves make MP-scaled humans?durroth wrote:I'd like to see them license a 3rd party miniature/figure company a la the current sticker deal to release a small line of TF character figures from various TF franchises in scale with the MP figures. an MP scale Verity to go with Umags would be nice. And just for the hell of it, a voyager scale IDW holomatter whirl.

That would be great. But smart money is, more or less, would come from or for the Japanese or Asian market. Given how Safety crazy the USA market is, this is a walking lawsuit in the making. And the Bayformer franchise line of ROTF is all but dead (the ones with the figures I mean)
Something similar to the KISS Player and Binaltech* line. Those figures, especially the back story from the former caused such a controversy. Too bad that the fugurews were actually nicely made despite lacking articulation.
As for Verity, I don't think she is famous enough as Carly Witwicky. Spike 2005 and Daniel2005 are included with UM, maybe an Amazon special for Carly?

You mean figures the size of Spike from MP-10? If that's what you mean, it would harken back to the days of the Diaclone pilots. I really loved those tiny guys. Small with detailed face sculpts.

The "Battle mask" does look a lot better, I honestly think tha tthe Toon face would look tonnes better had they painted it silver rathet than white, the white just washes out all of the detailing.

I paid for mine last night, wish I had known about their Black Friday sale.
Anyway, glad he's almost here! With all those dozens of pre-release unites circulating around, I was beginning to feel like I was the only one without the figure.
@Vaal: that's Spike in the exosuit. But yeah, it could be used as Daniel too. Might also look nice next to LG10 Arcee.

It looks more like Davey from Davey & Goliath.
Besides, why would they pair Bumblebee with Daniel when the two were almost never in the same room as each other in all the movie or the cartoon, while Spike spent the entire movie with Bumblebee?
