News has been kind of slow this weekend, so I thought I'd post this incredible block bot.

He's a creation of Brick Frenzy, who have a site of many different Lego creations.

Coming in at about 16 inches tall in robot mode, and approximately 2 feet in alt mode, Blackout is fully transformable, and modeled after the toy version.

You can see the Blackout gallery here.

I don't know about you, but it makes me want to pull out my LEGOs and start creating again.

The Toy version should model after this one! I like this better than the Hasbro verison. Nice work :-)

The plural of Lego is 'Lego.' The word 'Lego' is like the word 'rice,' you can have a bowl of rice and you can have a bucket of Lego. You can have a single grain of rice and you can have a single Lego brick. But you cannot have rices, nor can you have Legos. Gaah!

Got a source on that? I've always used "legos" when referring to multiple Lego bricks. I wonder what Webster's has to say about it? :-?

Actually, this isn't true, although it is a popular misconception.

I refer you to LEGO's 2004 Company Profile:

http://www.lego.com/info/pdf/compprofileeng.pdf

On the last page (16) of the document, it states:

- The LEGO brand name should always be written in capitals.

- The LEGO brand name must not be used generically - nor should it be used in the plural form or the possessive, e.g. "LEGO's".

- When the LEGO brand name is used as a noun, it must never stand alone. It must always be accompanied by another noun. For example, LEGO set, LEGO products, LEGO Company, LEGO play materials, LEGO bricks, LEGO universe, etc.

So technically, you can have neither a single LEGO nor multiple LEGO (or LEGOs). You can only have one LEGO brick or multiple LEGO bricks.

I always said Legos. Hmm. Learn something new everyday. Even if you don't want to.

Whoa... that's sweet looking!

Hopefully Hasbro releases more sophisticated Lego-esque line (unlike the BTR line) like this.

It's just... 8-O 8-O 8-O 8-O 8-O

The closest transforming LEGO toy (in deference to the sub-thread on the proper use of the word LEGO :P ) I had that worked was the StarWars LEGO Technic Droideka, which had a lot of kibble and pales in comparison to this.

Makes me wonder what happened to the LEGO Escaflowne I also drooled over some time ago.:P Kudos to the Brickmasters!

Terc81 welcome! As you can plainly see Seibertron contains nuts of all sorts. Sorry that I misspelled the plural of LEGO apparently, but fear not, the site is a high quality place to hang out even if the news crew sometimes makes a spelling error. Enjoy the community, it's the best (and obviously smartest) around.

"Let the person without sin, cast the first stone..." in regards to spelling.

Man, this guy totally stole my thunder. Granted, I've only got a rotor so far but still. Besides, mine's going to be better, seeing as I've figured out the way he REALLY transforms.

But that is pretty flipping sweet. And way too big for me.
