The G1 Metalfigs diorama set includes 4 separate highly detailed and painted figures: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, and Starscream. Each are 2 and 3/4 inches tall and are made from die-cast metal (the most precious metal known to toy collectors). The set is currently listed at $15.99.

Unlike what you may believe, Coscto is still in the tradition of offering exclusive Transformers product in the holiday season. They just are not of the transforming variety. Previously they had Jada's RC Bumblebee and now they have a Jada three pack from Age of Extinction (how timely?). The three pack features die cast licenced car modes for Bumblebee, Corsshairs and Optimus Prime. From the image is seems Costco is going all in on these Jada toys. This three pack is 14.99 which is rather affordable for quality die cast vehicles of that size (1:32 scale).

We thank xRotorstormX for sending this our way.

By the way, I know it says 1:32, but that Optimus is in a much smaller scale than that.

Jada Toys' 2022 catalogue is out and it has plenty for Transformers fans. It has G1 inspired non transforming die cast figures and micro sized G1 alt modes, but the big star here is they will be giving us a self transforming remote control Optimus Prime. This is fun for those who wanted the Robosen one but just didn't have the dough. Of course, you get what you pay for, but it is cool to see Hasbro being looser with their definition of what they are letting license holders do, especially when they had not allowed anyone but themselves to make transforming (converting) toys.

Below you will see images for:

Transformers Nanofigs Multi-Pack including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Sunstreaker, Prowl, Jazz, Arcee, Sideswipe, Ironhide, Wheeljack, Hot Rod, Ultra Magnus, Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave, Starscream, Thundercracker and Skywarp.

Transformers Nano Cars 3-pack including Jetfire, Hot Rod and Sideswipe

The Nano Cars 3-pack's figures' proportions are all over the place. Jetfire's cute. Hotrod's weirdly NOT sportly and sideswipe looks the best with a "Real Car" proportion.

The RC OP is most interesting... the poor man's Robosen

They match well with the Citybot Titans. But I only have Devy, Predaking & the Ark... and these minifigs don't match with any of those. However they'll look cool lined up in front (or on top) of my PC monitor though. I might get them just for that and if they can be found and are priced reasonable enough (no idea how much they'll cost).

This is kind of two news pieces in one. Firstly, there are new Transformers themed toys at Walmart, in the form of the officially licensed Transformers metal minifigures from Jada. This set has 18 figures of G1 characters all made of die cast metal and they measure a little less than 2 inches in height. While these sets have an MSRP of $25 USD (like this GI Joe set here), this set was priced at only $12 USD. This is a pricing error since this same set is still on preorder at Amazon.com for the MSRP price. There is only one sighting so far, posted on the Transformers Addict Facebook page, where this was found in Texarkana, AR, so we do not know if this is the same price you'll see at your local Walmart when you find it. So, does this set interest you? And would it interest you at this price? Let us know!

Judging from the passionate discussion over the recently seen Velocitron Black Convoy toy, it seems there are a lot of Nemesis Prime redeco fans out there. Well, Jada may have something for you. They revealed on their website, today, the upcoming Nemesis Prime scaled at 1:24, with lots of images showcasing the non transforming toy at many angles. They definitely had some fun with this photoshoot. The toy is $29.99 USD and can be ordered right now off the site.

Below is the listing info, which includes a character bio, and the images

TRANSFORMERS G1 NEMESIS PRIME, 1:24 SCALE VEHICLE

It’s the dark clone of the Autobot leader, constructed by an evil genius whose only allegiance is to himself. Designed to be the ultimate military commander and made from pure darkness, Nemesis Prime fears nothing and no one. When I first saw this, I thought: Oh, probably just another third party figure. But then ¨Optimus Prime¨ and ¨Officially licensed¨ Proved otherwise. But this looks like a lame piece of merchandise. I encourage everyone NOT to pay over voyager price-point for a figure whos transformation involves ¨standing up the car to see a robot jammed underneath ¨ I don have much against merchandise, but It should be cheaper than an actual figure, not matter how ¨die cast¨ it is. :michaelbay:

It's $30 so it is in fact cheaper than a Voyager. If I remember right these ones at this price point are pretty big, closer to MP-01 Prime than Earthrise Prime.

And really nobody should care if non-Transforming figures exist if they aren't preventing a transforming one from happening.

Still overpriced though. Don't know who'd actually buy this over a fully transforming version. Even though transformers are overpriced in general. :(

Anyone who wants a cool looking truck without a bunch of panel lines to stick on a shelf? Even the best Optimus Prime figure still doesn't look like a perfectly seamless truck (unless it's a shellformer like some of the movie Primes). I've got a few dozen Primes of every shape and size, what I don't have is a perfect looking truck so I do intend to buy a few of these.

Fans found some good value to the original set of Jada Transformers mini figures. Well, for those who liked them, we have some good news. A photo posted on the Beast Wars Forever Facebook page shows that we are getting a new set of those. There are many redecos, like Nemesis Prime and some seekers but it also has Beast Wars characters. We see Optimus Primal, Cheetor, BW Megatron, Rhinox and Airazor. Can you name all the G1 characters? I ask because not all are obvious from that photo.

Also, it is marked on the box that this set is Walmart exclusive.

Rhinox, Airazor, Soundblaster, Battletrap
Cliffjumper, Spin Out

The OP's at least a different pose, but probably included to ensure sales maybe. Something something most iconic transformer something.
A Fort Max would've been very awesome, though. Makes the inclusion of Battletrap(?) even more baffling. Not that I'm complaining a character who wasn't in the cartoon is getting a die-cast figure, but...

Also I'm guessing the 'Bee & Cliff' are probably included to reuse molds call back to their MicroChange variants.

I think that is pretty neat, if it was solely popular characters it'd have been pretty meh. Series 1 already covered the "essentials" so I am glad Series 2 is focusing on other characters.

She doesn't when you realize that all those Maximals are the ones appearing in ROTB.

By that logic I guess that explains the random inclusion of Battletrap as well.

Now that we know there's a second set I ended up buying the first one. For under $12 for 18 figures they're a good buy, much better than the $1.25 each for similar Jada figures at Dollar Tree.

Turs out there is more to this Metalfig pack than ... meets the eye. In the back we have 3 cutouts for backgrounds which include Teletraan 1. We see thatin the images below which give us a better look at the figures, in packaging. And the image of the back shows us all their names just in case people needed confirmation. The images were taken at a Walmart in Quebec where these figures along with 2 more sets are all found at the bottom of the Transformers section. The two other sets are Minecraft and Spider-man themed. They are all $29.97 CAD. This set has yet to appear in the US.

Poorly designed, pointless, and just more waste and polution. Who decided lets release some small figures that don’t offer anything that isn’t available already and in top of that done in away that is poorer than anything that came before it. I have something similar that i got when i was a kid in the 80s and it’s better made. If you buy this I’m selling I’m a C@?t tshirts for a couple hundred and I have mispelt it too, it’s an exclusive too so, and im sure its got some die cast as all tf fans love abit of die cast

I bought the first set and I'll be buying the second set too. They don't really hold up when viewed up close, but at a distance they look great populating city bots or just standing at their feet for a better sense of scale than regular figures can give them. They're also cheap (in the US anyway, though I suspect the second set will cost more) at only $12 for 18 figures.

I thought Debbie Downer was a fictional character.

I can see these being super useful for tabletop purposes with the Renegade Games' Transformers RPG core book around the corner.

So I still like this line and just bought series 3 (last time this topic was posted to we were still on series 1), but I just wanted to point out the nonsense that is Jada's use of "series", a word that doesn't seem to really mean anything to Jada.

Series 1

Series 2

Series 3

Series 1 just gives a choice of vertical and horizontal, series 2 and 3 exclusives just swap a out two carryovers with two repaints, though series 2 at least gives you a new character unless you consider Red Bumblebee a different character.

Also the new molds decline rapidly at wave 3.

Series 1:
New molds 18/18
New characters 18/18

Series 2:
New molds 9/18 - Optimus Prime (axe), Optimus Primal, Beast Megatron, G1 Scorponok, Mirage, Cheetor, Rhinox, Airazor, Battletrap.
New repaints 6/18 (8/18 for exclusive set) - Bumblebee (yellow Cliffjumper), Nemesis Prime, Nova Storm, Acid Storm, Redwing, Soundblaster (plus exclusive set - Cliffjumper [red Bumblebee], Spin-Out)
Recycled figures - 3/18 (1/18 for exclusive set) Wheeljack (both sets), Arcee, Ironhide (retail set only)

Series 3:
New molds 4/18 - Alpha Trion, Galvatron, Tigatron, Waspinator
New repaints 2/18 (4/18 for exclusive set) - Bitstream, Starscream (plus exclusive set - gold Optimus Prime, gold Soundwave)
Recycled figures 12/18 (10/18 for exclusive set) - Optimus Prime (axe), Bumblebee, Megatron, Optimus Primal, Rhinox, Airazor Arcee, Ultra Magnus, Prowl, Soundwave (both sets), Beast Megatron, G1 Scorponok (retail set)

I'm going to guess series 3 is the last one unless this is the money saving series and they come back with lot of new molds in series 4. Series 3 really should have replaced Prowl with Hot Rod since they already added all the other previously made good and evil leaders to that set.

And yes, if you buy the right (or wrong) sets you can end up with three of the same Arcees.
