These 2 Deluxe Class figures are repaint version of Transformers Animated Jazz and Soundwave.
The images also let us read the combat biographies of these new figures:
Freeway Jazz:
With Decepticon activity at its peak near the galaxy rim, rumors begin to circulate that Earth may be getting more evil visitors as well. In anticipation of incoming Decepticons, Autobot Jazz goes undercover, inmersing himself in Earth culture where he hides in plain site. He can enjoy the sights and sound of Earth while planning the perfect moment to strike.
Electrostatic Soundwave:
After a couple of years working alongside Laserbeak, Soundwave realized it was time for a change. His new partner, Ratbat, lets him lay down multiple tracks of sound at a time, creating frequencies that can do more than just control other robots. Now, Soundwave is into straight-up mind control. Using complex synch beats he can make people - and even the Autobots - do whatever he wants.

This is so true. I'm not a Hasbro or Takara fanboy drone or anything but from time to time, I am genuinely surprised by some of the efforts that are seemingly primarily for the "fans". I know it's not altruistic. Repaints are an easier way to make money off of existing molds. But a movie Jazz homage and Soundblaster homage are things that are more likely to attract Transformers fans than the average Transformers Animated buyer/fan.

I missed them! I can't wait for them. TFA Ironhide and Rodimus news should be on the horizon.

I think Jazz was a pretty underrated mold. He's got pretty good posability, neat weapons (although I wish they remolded these to combine to form a staff), looks good in both modes, and, like most of Animated, is stunningly accurate to the screen model.

Well, RatBats head is meant to be the "head" of the keytar. Like all guitars have. Its like a death metal head to a deathmetal keytar
