"The next stop on the Transformers convention circuit in 2006 is Iacon One, and it's almost here, so without further delay, it's time to announce the activity lineup for Friday, July 7.
Friday night at Iacon One - "It's all about the toys!"
Remember, activities on Friday are ONLY available to pre-registrants. (Pre-registration available only through June 17, so act now) Also, today (June 7) is the last day to get our guaranteed discounted rates at the convention hotel, the Hilton Fort Wayne, so don't wait any longer, book your room today!
(Tentative schedule, subject to fluctuation - final Friday and Saturday schedule will be posted to the web site/e-mailed out a couple of weeks before the show.)
From 12 p.m. until 5 p.m., pick up your pre-registration materials.
Dealers may begin setting up in the dealer room during this time.
Pre-registrants can hang out with your fellow fans in our game room / lounge area, where we'll be running Transformers trivia games and more!
6 p.m. - "The Golden Disk Awards dinner "
Enjoy an intimate and relaxing dinner with your fellow fans, and our special guests: Scott McNeil, Venus Terzo, David Sobolov, and Bob Budiansky! Featuring a live awards presentation, and a dinner-EXCLUSIVE souvenir toy accessory, celebrating the 20th anniversary of "Transformers: The Movie".

7:45 p.m. - Special event: "Transformers VS Gobots"
Esteemed Japanese fan and collector Fumihiko Akiyama will present a fascinating look at the world of Transformers from the international point of view. We're honored to have Fumihiko join us at Iacon One, don't miss this special presentation!
9:00 p.m. - Special event: "Making the Transformers"
Join Andrew Frankel and Joe Kyde for a special Q&A session. What's so special about these two long-time fans? Why, they've both worked on the Transformers toy line at Hasbro! Andrew's contributions to the line include the store-exclusive figure 'Cryotek', and you've probably seen Joe's work on the shelves in the past few years - character color designs for toylines including Transformers Armada. Bring your questions and enjoy this 'behind the scenes' discussion on the production of Transformers toys!
