And before anyone asks about the release of Deluxe Leadfoot in Japan: November. And it looks like our Air Raid has been renamed in Japan, to Seeker Air Raid

Think about it: in Japan, there are no Targets

MAN! Those pics of the official bot mode are horrible. It's a good thing you can actually pose the kibble anyway you want to make it better.

On second thought -- definitely not feeling an $80 price tag for him either.

First of all, for those who says it's better to have the logos - you're telling me that Leadfoot actually looks BETTER with a bullseye painted on his chest? Yeah...
Second, "42" has a very negative superstitious connotation in Japan, just as "13" has a negative superstitious connotation in European and European based cultures.
Finally, is this about the figure not having any logo, or just the fact that all the American corporate logos (including the Impala logo for the car itself, strangely) are removed? I'm thinking it may be former because it is SUPPOSE to be a stock car and they normally have corporate logos brandished all over the car. If it's the latter, well, yeah...oookkaay...

I doubt Reprolabels can fix that ugly-ass robot mode. I'll wait to see what the deluxe looks like.

Please bring back some form of Classics next year. Not just 3rd string repaints either. I'm Mean worthy Characters that G1 fans have been asking for for years now.

Would you have paid the $60+ it would have taken to import the Japanese version?
No, no you wouldn't have.

Final thought is this: please dont judge this transformer by the pics you see represented in this thread. doing so would be a huge disservice to Leadfoot. This HA toy truly is impressive. wether or not these pics show him in his "official" bot mode or not is moot. he can and does look so much better in hand and with a little ad libbing transformation.

Come on Ryan, there's got to be some way to buy figures for the site as a business expense and write them off. You have to have him to do a proper comparison for the good of Seibertron.com members and guests!

Agree 100% on that one. Even if I could find it locally, I wouldn't buy it.
Also, it's very lame that the Takara one don't have any marking. Proof that the Takara releases are not always the superior ones.

Not with the movieverse they aren't, since almost each figure is the exact same as the Hasbro version.

Since when is Seibertron.com a business?

The site has sponsors and probably costs money to keep up and running. I'm guessing some sort of money is involved.
More on-topic, Hasbro beat Takara in paintapps. Pigs flew.

Not true. There's a difference. Takara's Movieverse toys cost A LOT MORE!
Err.... that count, right?

Yup.
It's accurate, so that's all that matters.
Second, "42" has a very negative superstitious connotation in Japan, just as "13" has a negative superstitious connotation in European and European based cultures.
That's a bit of an exaggeration. Collectors are just as likely to pick it up as being "cool" as westerners are to seek out the number 13 for the sake of irony.

I don't think there's anything to it, more or less, than that the logos should be on there. The obvious legal issues preventing them from appearing on the Japanese version are the kind of thing that annoy collectors to no end.

It's not the 42 that's the problem, but the 4 itself, which sounds close to the word for "death" in Japanese and Chinese. In extreme cases one speaks of Tetraphobia.

There's more to it that just that. Look up "42" on Wikipedia.

I tried and it redirected me to 69.
On another note anyone know if the US release will come with that saw blade? I like that Mechtech but hate Deluxe Ratchets colors. I like Rescue Ratchets colors but he comes with a different weapon.
