I disagree. If these pics are accurate he'll be as tall as SS when SS is on his stand. So it's better than it could be!

I still think he is worth the money I'm going to pay for him. And can't wait to get him

Maybe it's the cost of production that's gone up due to the market sucking right now? Or that they're having to pay their factories more?
Either way, I'll gladly pay $150 for MP Grimlock. I'm an adult toy collector, and I can afford to waste money on these. If you can't, then your priorities are misplaced.
I think until we see an absolute side-by-side comparison, without depth of field to trick the eye, then we'll know EXACTLY how big.
The comparison pic is probably pretty close, but MP Prime is behind Classics Prime, and MP Grimlock is in front, which means the size difference would be a little more. Meaning, MP Grimlock may be even smaller.
Now, as much as I'd want a giant MP Grimlock that towers over MP Prime/Megatron, seriously, did folks expect them to make an MP figure that dwarves the "hero" leaders?
I don't expect him to.
And he still looks to be bigger than MP Starscream, who I agree was too small. They should all be 90% to 100% the same size, or as close in size to each other as possible. If he's 85% the size, then eh, I'd like him bigger, but I'll take whatever they throw at us.
I mean, despite all the whining and complaining, where else are we going to get a Masterpiece figure? They'll do it their own way, and those happy with it will buy it.

I agree with this sentiment, as someone who doesn't own any other MP's, and was dissapointed with Classics Grimlock being a deluxe, this fits the bill nicely.
If the joint on his jaw is tight enough you could set up this pose with Classics Skywarp: http://transformers.wikia.com/wiki/Imag ... kywarp.jpg

If you're one of the folks that has no issue with cash, cool for you - that's getting to be rare nowadays, and should you love the size in comparison to Classics, rock on. But if Grimlock is being done as a Masterpiece and scale comparison is to be taken into account, should it not be the MP scale instead of production on a high priced collector's item matching only to a separate & generally smaller line? Even if they went more plastic than diecast to do so (as in the case of MP Megatron, Starscream, Skywarp and Thundercracker), the MP Grimlock should have been as large if not larger than Masterpiece Prime.
When I bought the 20th Anniversary Masterpiece Optimus Prime brand new, new release it cost me around $80. You can't scale down from that size, likely follow the trend of less diecast in MPs (as they've gone along) which means more plastic, then tack on another $70 with nothing more than 'the economy' as an excuse. Size isn't everything, sure, and with Transformers items there's always differing sizes within any line. But when creating a Masterpiece Grimlock with the two established sizes of Prime/Megatron larger form and Starscream/other Seekers slightly smaller form, they run with the smaller size? There's zero problem with an established customer having some kind of expectation from their supplier, especially since this is the Masterpiece line that caters to the collector.

Yes, my first thought seeing the comparison was that it looked better standing next to Classics Prime! Its not exact, but I agree it totally looks better with Classics Prime!
I had just sort of assumed that MP Grimlock would be as tall as MP-Prime, or a tad taller, but I'm not surprised that its smaller. Again, I'll pose mine with my Classics figs, because the Classics Grimlock toy is an abomination
Now...all we need is MP Slag, Sludge, Swoop and Snarl!!

I can live with that.
In any case, I'll reserve judgment till I see actual comparison pics. Being just a little off one way or the other can make a huge difference when trying to piece these sizes together.
