(Only a little)

I did get three Ani Activators Skywarps and two of the clear plastic animated legends for $10 a piece. One of these isn't going to be a problem at all.

Well, what I didn't say was that I was going to buy ALL the Skywarps that the sites get in stock and then price gouge the crap out of you.

Is that why we get Skywarp instead of other figures that we want?

Didn't we already get info of another Deluxe SS repaint coming down the pike, anyway? G1 colors most likely, but still.
Of course, I may just be stuck in collector's reverie since I just picked up Thundercracker today.

Because Hasbro wants us die-hard fans to spend money on the eventual Deluxe Starscream/Thundercracker pegwarmers & go through all the effort of giving them various custom Skywarp-esque paint jobs (or even copy the Takara Skywarp's paint job). This way they (and walmart, target, TRU, etc) can watch their sales & profits increase. Then in one of the last waves to be released this year before TF: Prime toys hit the shelves, we'll see their release of deluxe Skywarp. We'll curse Hasbro for making us wait so long & the time we spent on customizing a SS/TC... and we'll probably buy it anyways.
As for me, I'm just as bad as Tekka when it comes to collecting Skywarps. I'm just gonna buy a Starscream & having a customizer buddy of mine repaint it. After the RTS & Generations release fiascos (never saw a Skystalker in any of my 3 local walmarts, 1 local target, or 1 local TRU. Never.), I've decided to neither hold my breath nor wait patiently for Hasbro to possibly maybe eventually release a Takara "exclusive" nor wait for guaranteed toys, only to find out they got shipped elsewhere or released in such limited quantities that my only hope for getting one is from some wallet-gouger online.
And until I get that SS repainted, I'll just stare at my clearance price purchased Masterpiece Skywarp & smile... because it's just as cool.

I agree with you. It'll probably be a store exclusive at some point, probably even a 2-pack. But for those who cannot wait, order the Takara version.
As much as I love the seekers, Starscream is the only one that has been in the movies. We don't get our original trio, nor do we get coneheads. At least most of us are able to get Classics seeker sets!

Probably in some late-wave Walmart-exclusive 2-pack or something...

Maybe it's Thundercracker you're thinking of?
If you're really seeing Skywarp in stores - hook a brother up!

I believe Galvatron X is right. I think I saw Thundercracker now that I think of it.
I've really checked out of DOTM toys. I think I've fallen out of love with the movie style toys, even if it may be temporary. I find myself focusing on classics and really into Animated figs lately for some reason.

I bought two Thundecrackers. And now I have two of those cool chainsaw weapons for my Cracker. And it turns out one Cracker has some chipped paint anyway. So its all working out for me. I do feel bad for those interested where customizing isn't an option.

Same here, I have to break out the paints now. It will probably turn out as **** due to severe tremors I have in both hands now. Painting straight lines is a bitch, but it is worth a try as I have an extra Mechtech Starscrem just waiting for me to give it a shot.
Here's me crossing my fingers well before I even get arouund to starting this project.
