Even if everything's not perfect, I'm gonna try and take it in stride. Hasbro's trying, and I'm seeing alot of stuff here that sounds great

God. Dammit. Just when I thought I'd be passing on a buttload of stuff this year... they reel me right back in. Generations continues to be the bane of my wallet's existence.

A new packaging style for Generations 2015? Something tells me that'll be Series 3, and the initial line-up doesn't look too shabby. And Combiners? GIMME!

And those are just what I'm MOST excited about. Looking forward to hearing more and seeing some pics, especially since I couldn't be there!

They lied to us
They said there would be no off screen movie characters in the Gen toyline.
And Snarl is not in the movie.....slag those guys at Hasbro.
But the Sonic's name is....Rollbar?
Who?
I mean what?
Who remembers a guy named Rollbar?

Actually, they said that all the characters on-screen will receive toys, with some off-screen characters here and there.
Besides, they probably used "Rollbar" to refresh the trademark on the name. Not the first time it happened, definitely not the last.

Ahhhh ok then thanks for clarifying.
But Rollbar?
Thats a red shirt name.
Oh wait the Sonic was not spotted in Hong Kong......

Also still hope a voyager Megatron to match the voyager Optimus is in the works.

G1 Prowl?
Wat is G1 movie now?
Rotf Megatron?
......wat?
Decepticon Steeljaw
as in the Autobot Steeljaw from dotm
but is now a Decepticon Steeljaws?
Posted by Noideaforaname on June 21st, 2014 @ 2:26pm CDT
Kreons Strafe, Slug, Grimlock and Scorn
Yay! I was hoping they'd make Kreons of the Dinobots. A shame that being "Customizers" means they'll probably be stuck with just clear and chrome helmets instead of regular opaque ones, but that's easy enough to fix. Hope they make Snarl and the sauropod, too, regardless if they appear in the movie or not.
And yeah, lots of other cool stuff, though I need to actually see them first.

Techncally speaking, Dark of the Moon Steeljaw never really appeared anywhere, other than Human Alliance Leadfoot. So it's perfectly okay!

I think after a certain wave the line will shift focus from the Movie to older series. After all, the official line name doesn't seem to be "Age of Extinction", but simply "Transformers" with "Robots in Disguise" and "Generations" as the main sub-lines... for now at least.

I disagree. Her design may be influenced from Prime Arcee, but in no way is it an overhaul. Same thing as Generation 2 Smokescreen and Energon Starscream: awfully similar engineering, but nothing mold-wise is shared.

I really hope this is not the case.
I'm just going to believe they are keeping it a secret until i see the movie. (and no one is going to convince me until then)

That's a lot of detail on an off screen one step TF.
plus when has Hasbro said something that proves to be false later.

But really Bay could of just said its not a transformer instead of letting masive debates happen.
Its a really fishy thing
Well Rollbar is going to be the most overhyped non TF ever.

Rally Fighters?
Well they are used by KSI they could be man built tfs

Nope, sorry, totally is a remold. I got the pictures over from TFormers, because they got display pics faster than here, and here's a, well, it's pretty bad, but it's still a picture of the robot mode.
Now, I instruct you to observe the main body, the upper legs, and the toes. If you have any PRID Arcee variation, and if you take a look, you will note that there is an all-too-strong correlation between the body and legs of Arcee and the body and legs of Chromia. Not to mention the upper arms appear to have not been changed at all. If Chromia has been enlarged, due to not having super-massive gimmick weapon, then you take the point. As it stands, Chromia is a remold. A lot like Sandstorm is, frankly.

Yeah no, He's right it is a massive remold retool, this is not a G2 Smokescreen V. Energon Starscream thing. However, they pulled a springer into Sandstorm and retooled so much of the figure, it might as well be a new one. Sorry for using another sites pics

Brainstorm just made me mess up my pants.
So glad I didn't spring for any of the third party brainstorms. This one looks amazing.
And I can totally see Chromia repainted with a new head as Afterburner.

Chromia being a different mold and not a repaint, and very representative of her current IDW self, well that's a big surprise.
Brainstorm cool. Legends that are not mini-bots seem-- wasteful -- yes I know they are repaints which are supposed to be a cheap $$$ maker. I'm really only tempted because of the micromaster/minicon homages.

Now I can think about would be the hypothetical Voyager Chromedome with a headmaster buddy. Honestly a semi-comic accurate head that turns into a little man is equal to or greater than a static comic accurate head. Maybe i'm weird that way.

First dish of the meal are the Generations Legends figures, whose ranks were reinforced with the arrival of Nemesis Prime (obligatory baddie redeco of the previous Optimus Prime mold) with Spinister(redeco of Bumblebee's partner Blazemaster); Cliffjumper (more than obligatory redeco of the previous Bumblebee mold) with Suppressor (redeco of Optimus Prime's partner Roller); and currently parnter-less Thundercracker, Windcharger, Powerglide, and Bombshell (that's right, he's Bombshell now, no longer Hardshell!)
The next part of the meal encompasses the newly revealed Generations Deluxes, the long-overdue Arcee and Chromia!
Also available on the menu are two entrees of your choosing: Brainstorm (with a functioning Headmaster gimmick!) and Optimus Prime (loosely based on his appearance in the IDW comics)
And finally, to round off the meal, we have double trouble Megatrons! The first Megatron is slavishly Generation One, while the second version of Megatron takes his ques from his Armada counterpart (complete with his classic serrated horns!)

I don't like the way Arcee was done too terribly much. Too much backpack is the primary issue. Also, points to me for saying Chromia is a remold.
Brainstorm looks really flepin' good, even if he is incredibly simple.
Optimus Prime is....Super Blocky! It makes me laugh a little bit. That, and how simple he is as well. And his vehicle mode is interesting too.
As for the Megatrons, well, Armada is sadly a remold of the IDW(?) and does not appear to come with a minicon, though he sports the pegs for it. Also the mold isn't as proportioned as I'd want with a Megatron, with too-thin legs to support the large mold.
Also, much simple.
All-in-all, some may be unhappy with the more simple transformations. Some may be happier with the blocky-bots. But, I think that if this is handled right, these voyagers and leaders are the right kind of toys to ensure the next generation of fans to support the Transformers.
