Only a handful of people in the world can say that they have voiced Optimus Prime. One of these people is Transformers Robots In Disguise Voice Actor Neil Kaplan. And you have the chance to meet him in the coming months at the following two events.

The Animation Convention "Animation On Display" will be held on February 16th and 17th 2008 in San Francisco, CA. Guests include Neil Kaplan and Comic book writer Marv Wolfman.

The MegaCon Comicbooks convention will be held on March 7th through the 9th in Orlando, FL. Aside from a whole host of comicbook talent, Guests include William Morgan Sheppard who played Captain Archibald Witwicky in Michael Bay's Transformers and (again) Neil Kaplan. If you intend to swing by on March 9th, do not forget to wish the Robots In Disguise star a happy birthday!

As found on Variety.com, BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) have posted their nominations for the 2008 Orange Rising Star Award to be given out at the British Academy Film Awards, to be held on February 10th.

Shia LeBeouf has been nominated for his performance in the Transformers Movie. The other nominees are as follows:
- Ellen Page (“Juno”)
- Sienna Miller (“Stardust”)
- Sam Riley (“Control”) and
- Tang Wei (“Lust, Caution”)

The Award will be decided by a public vote.

Variety has announced that the 2007 Transformers movie is still in the running for an Oscar Award in the catagory of Visual Special Effects. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will determine the final 3 nominations for the award on January 16th. The competition for Transformers are, The Bourne Ultimatum, Evan Almighty, The Golden Compass, I Am Legend, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End and 300.

Michael Bay, the director of the 2007 Transformers movie, has left a message on his board, letting fans know that he has not lost his hope to one day release the Transformers movie on the High Definition format of Blu-Ray. The following has been taken directly from his post.

"Well another studio down. Maybe I was right? Blu ray is just better. HD will die a slow death. It's what I predicted a year ago. Now with Warner's down for the count with Blu Ray. That makes it easier for Wal-Mart to push Blu Ray. And whatever Wal-Mart pushes - wins. Hd better start giving out those $120 million dollars checks to stay alive. Maybe they can give me some so I can give it to my Make-A-Wish charity, just to shut me up. Have faith people Transformers will come out in Blu-ray one day!

The Transformers Mosiac team seem to be getting themselves ever more and more exposure.

Shortly after the release of their first comic "series" War Journal, Transformers Mosiac script writer Josh van Reyk has been interviewed by Newsarama.

In the Interview Josh talks about his involvement in the creation process of both the Mosiac and War Journal projects, who else was involved in the War Journal project and what we can look forward to for the rest of 2008.
