It's only been a handful of days since the new Transformers Generations 2018 book was released, and already we have a full video breakdown of it! The video, while in Chinese, shows off the catalogue in its entirety very nicely, and gives us some good looks at the latest and greatest toys from Hasbro and Takara! Almost (if not) every figure from the past few months is shown to some degree in the book, including Grand Maximus, Masterpiece Dinobot and Sunstreaker, and Legends Greatshot! The book also features some neat behind the scenes shots of the design process of toys like Titan Class Trypticon, Six Shot, and Overlord! We've taken some screenshots of the video, but they only show a fraction of the content included, so we recommend watching the nearly feature-length tour through the book embedded directly below!
We appear to have a new handful of preview pages from the upcoming Taiyo Tosho / HeroX Transformers Generations 2018 book, as well as a repeat of the cover (by Takeshi Nakamura) and the Legends manga images we have already seen, directly from the HeroX site!
The only issue is that the images are extremely small, with no real chance of magnifying - that said, we get a tiny preview at the Legends line, with the counterparts to Titans Return Triggerhappy, Kup, Perceptor and more; there's a Lost Age section (Age of Extinction), with the oversized Grimlock, the simpler figures and the main line itself, including a profusion of Optimus Primes, the Platinum Dinobot set and an Ark cut-out playset; a secret Masterpiece section, which may or may not have something to do with MP-41 Dinobot; a process and design section, featuring Legends / Titans Return figures. Check them all out below!
In the continuing teasing that HeroX are bringing us for the Generations 2018 book - featuring art by IDW occasional Naoto Tsushima - and the likes of Takara Tomy Transformers Legends figures LG45 Hot Rod,LG55 Slugslinger, LG57 Octane and LG65 Twin Twist! The art below is just a quick look at some of the interior pages, we still have no idea if an exclusive figure will also be released to accompany the book as with Million Publishing, and the machine translation of the HeroX tweet makes very little sense. Nonetheless, take a look!
Hello, hero X is. Continuation, launched 11/20, drawn by the book "Transformers 2018's capitalised comics immediately from the show. Cybertron mission scenes from TF comics legend of crossing the street e., teacher "transformerlegends"!
Thanks to a tip-off from fellow Seibertronian Cyberpath, just under a week after the cover was revealed, we now have a preview image of Tayo Tosho's and HeroX's new Transformers Generations book for 2018! Shared by HeroX's Twitter, the image features Overlord, well, lording over a fleeing Bumblebee. Both characters are based on their Titans Return toy designs - more specifically the Takara Legends takes on the figures, LG54 and LG60 respectively.
Check below for the image, and a machine translation of the accompanying tweet from HeroX. The book is set to release on November 20th, just under four weeks from now, so don't forget to preorder it from site sponsor HobbyLinkJapan or Amazon.co.jp if it catches your interest!

Fellow Seibertronian, Cyberpath, pointed us in the direction of yet another preview from the Generations 2018 book. This one features LG45 Hot Rod, LG55 Slugslinger, LG57 Octane, and LG65 Twin Twist.
Thanks to fellow news staffer xRotorstormx we now know that the Transformers busy book has been sighted at Rite Aid in Eaton Rapids, MI. From these wonderful pictures we can see the artwork used in this book. Judging by the style, there could be some hidden hints for the upcoming Transformers: Cyberverse TV show. Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Hot Rod, Starscream, Megatron, and Soundwave are all available in this set. It is also worthy to note that these figures do not transform, however each character is represented in each mode by two different figures. This means it comes with a total of 12 figures. We can also see in the last image that this book is priced at 14.99 if anyone was wondering.
If you find any new Transformers related products or figures, please be sure to tell us!
It's been a couple of years since we last saw one of these, as Tayo Tosho took over from Million Publishing, but we now have news of a new Transformers Generations book for 2018! Featuring cover art by Nakamura Tsuyoshi, and sporting Takara Tomy Legends LG45 Targetmaster Hot Rod facing off against several Decepticons, including upcoming G2 Megatron and Savage Noble from the same line - and no word so far on a toy exclusive, even with a release date of November 20. Check it out from site sponsor HobbyLinkJapan and online retailer Amazon.co.jp!
Adding to our previous look at the figures that come with the Transformers Busy Book, as reported here, we have another couple of images courtesy of an eBay listing showing the whole set of Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream, and Hot Rod! Please note that is are non-transforming mini figures in robot and vehicle mode, that accompany the book and the playmat - but they do seem to sport the same design that designer Emiliano Santalucia has been calling Evergreen and that we've seen in recent stories. So check them out, and let us know what you think!
Coming by way of the OzformersFacebook page we have learned that the G1 Definitive Comics collection is now out in Australia via Newsagents. There is a bit of a note written by the Ozformers page people to be aware of.
The first issue is $8, while each later issue (every 2 weeks) is $20.
It's a great complete set if you haven't been collecting the comics, but unfortunately, if you only want certain issues, or just the first section containing the original 1980s comics, these are not being released in order - they are being released in a pre-set mixed up order, and you will have to ask your local newsagent if they are able to order in specific volumes (if you only want certain ones). If they can do it, just be careful when asking for specific volumes, as they might be numbered according to their order of release, rather than the numbers on the covers (note that "issue 1" is Volume 6).
By the way... this Definitive Collection is supposed to include for the first time ever, coloured copies of the black and white UK comic stories from the original series - that's almost 30 years for this to finally happen.
Also please note, if you wish to subscribe to the G1 Definitive Comics Collection you can do so here the caveat is that it is region specific. So if you are in Australia, you pay in Australian pricing, if you are in Italy you would pay UK pricing.

We knew there would be a Transformers Busy Book coming out soon but we didn't know what it lookd like or which figures it woudl include. Amazon updated their listing with images of the book, the playmat it comes with and the 12 figures for you to place on the playmat and play with. There are 12 figures in total which are 6 characters in their robot and alt modes. These are all G1 based with slight cartoon styles that were previously found on the Go Karts. It is unsure if this style is just for merchandising or for future media.
The figures included with this busy book are:
Optimus Prime and his truck alt mode
Bumblebee and his car alt mode
Hot Rod and his car alt mode
Megatron and his tank alt mode
Soundwave and his suburban alt mode
