Here we have a review, coming from me, for Transformers Earthspark deluxe Megatron. While it is as complex as a deluxe from any other line, the fact that all characters are deluxe sized makes him look very puny next to others, as you can see in the photos below. Also, while the articulation is standard, the giant bulky shoulders limit the articulation in that area which is a shame since many typical Megatron poses feature his arm extended forward at different angles to shoot his fusion canon. Lots of Transformers Earthspark news and reviews coming your way since they came all at once in Canada, my home and native land. Here we have a review, coming from me, for Transformers Earthspark tacticon Megatron, Optimus and Bumblebee. These are the transforming finger puppet toys and you get to see how the gimmick works in these videos. Definitely fun for kids, as my 5 year old will attest, though the 6+ on the box is wrong in my opinion, as these skew younger than that.
In other Earthspark news, there is a listing of Deluxe Starscream that was found thanks to JTPrime17 and Voltrace.
Here we have a review, coming from me, for Transformers Earthspark deluxe Terran Twitch. This was probably the most anticipated figure from the line due to it being a Nick Roche design and fans just liking how new the alt mode and character were. I also have an image below showing a size comparison. While this toy is in a line aimed specifically at kids, it is very much a standard deluxe in terms of complexity, size and articulation. Brett Rothe has posted a quick transformation video of Rise of the Beasts deluxe Airazor on youtube. They reached out to us directly to inform us and we thank them for the heads up. The transformation is quite ingenious since it completely removes a large chunk of the wings from the robot mode by having a part of them become the robot mode legs. This would have been a better transformation for making both Kingdom Airazor and Terrorsaur more cartoon accurate since their robot modes on the show had their wings either reduced or completely removed.

BakuganHG1998 posted a quick review of Rise of the Beasts deluxe Airazor on TikTok. Since it's TikTok, it is very short, so no transformation. But we do get a nice 360 view of both modes. The reviewer calls out the attention to detail such as the molded feathers that end up on the robot's shins. You can also see how the weapons store in robot mode. We thank Kanrabat for giving us a heads up on this video.
PrimevsPrime uploaded a video review for Legacy Evolution deluxe Needlenose. You can see form the images that this is a tall deluxe, almost reaching the height of voyagers, as you can see with the comparisons in the video. He also comes with 2 Targetmasters, Sunbeam and Zigzag, that interact with Needlenose in multiple ways. Those wondering how simple the transformation would be will get their question answered here.
Fellow Seibertronian blurrprime has a very random but very fun video review for us. They found these Mr Potatoe Head Transformers Happy Meal toys at McDonalds today. They are part of a set that also has Bumblebee and Grimlock along with My Little Poney characters making this a Hasbro IP three way crossover. These are in Malaysia but may appear at any McDonalds worldwide at a later date as these are not linked to any show or movie in particular.
The entirety of Season 1 of Transformers Eartrhspark was put up on Paramount Plus 2 days ago. Since then the show has been found across different channels internationally, with Spanish dubs on Youtube and even a marathon on Pluto TV's Transformers channel. For anyone curious, here is a review of the first two episodes, Secret Legacy Parts 1 and 2, which serve as the pilot to the show (and is even aired as a 40 minute episode in some places).
Review of Transformers: EarthSpark Episode 1-2 Secret Legacy
The show wastes no time getting the ball rolling. Within just a few minutes, we are introduced to the main characters and their bond to this strange new breed of Transformers which were formed in a cave thanks to the Emberstone from Quintus Prime. Now, yes, that is one hell of a deep cut, but what I like best is that since the show is clearly aimed at kids and not fans, this reference is not meant for fans but rather the writers using elements from the lore of the past 35 years and introducing it to a new generation of fans.
While many elements of the show will feel familiar, the take presented here is a new one. All the Transformers media we have experienced in the real world are in this show as well BUT in that world they are fictional retellings of what really happened. So you will get nods to the G1 show, IDW comics and loads of Transformers merchandise. This puts a new dymanic here that we haven't seen for years where it's not about robots in disguise but robots living among us and Transformers being seen like the Avengers in the MCU. This media is referenced when showing the new Transformers what they are. We soon get an idea of the conflict at hand where you have a human threat, Mandroid, capturing Cybertronians (specifically Decepticons) to experiment and learn more about their technology and how he can use it. The two parter ends with a showdown against Mandroid and his brainwashed Decepticons.
This leads me to talk about the action: it is excellent. While I am not a fan of some of the human characterizations, the action is what really impressed me. The fights among the bots feels fluid and dynamic, more so than anything I've ever seen in a live action film. We see lots of transformations too and it's incorporated into the fighting. We get to see Megatron in action and I am happy to report that while he is working with humans here, he still felt very much like Megatron to me, not neutered. His personality will feel very familiar to anyone who read the IDW comics, but of course remember that this is within a kids' show so the tone is levelled to that effect.
As for voice work, everything felt fine. I am impressed with Alan Tudyk's Optimus Prime since he aces that difficult balance of having a familiar Optimus Prime voice without it being an imitation of Peter Cullen. Also, regarding Optimus, it seemed at first like they were reusing the Evergreen design but seeing the character model in action it is a new take on it. I especially like how we can see he is a long nose truck in bot mode, with the nose adding a tapered effect to his abdomen where the grill is. Incorporations of the alt mode like that is found across the character models, which is always welcome from me, like seeing the car doors on Elita's shins and all the Transformations look well thought out.
Overall, I like everything concerning the bots in terms of action, designs, personality and story. I am not a fan of the characterizations for some of the human characters (especially the older kid) but it wasn't enough to be a turnoff from the show as a whole. I am glad the show is around and I see it creating new young fans.
For those curious about the soon to be released Earthspark deluxe Megatron, there is now a review up. Here we can get a good idea of the scale, with comparisons to Cyberverse deluxe Megatron and Shockwave (who will be rereleased in this line) and it also shows us the figure from the back and the alt mode at several angles. We see how the canon attaches to the helicopter in alt mode too, completing the look.
