Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast. Join host Scotty P plus almost everyone else you know and love from the Twincast, including Counterpunch, Jon 3.0, Megatronus, RodimusConvoy13, and Rotorstorm. With a busy summertime of news, a calm approaches and the gang finally gets to Kickback with some Shrapnel and drop poetic Bombshell opinions.
Wait, did that say "poetic"? Yes indeed, as a lighthearted way to start out this episode, the first and probably last ever Twincast / Podcast Poetry Grand Slam is here! Each podcaster came up with Transformers related haikus, and the topics range from e-Hobby New Year's Specials to the death of the cinematic universe's writer's room. Sit tight while the cast works off the cobwebs of being bound to a news cycle for discussions as we have some fun on poetry night.
This: Not a Haiku
It's only a short poem
Not what we did here
(kinda)
Movie topics won't die on us yet. With the delay of the Bumblebee Movie, along with the news of John Cena being cast in the film, we attempt to take it seriously but just make wrestling jokes instead. We hope you're ready for an Attitude Adjustment, because it's guaranteed that you won't be able to see this topic. Its time is up, its time is now, so five-knuckle-shuffle your way up to the download button!
Transformers vs G.I. Joe
Of course, regular listeners of the show may be acutely aware that due to the way recent show topics have fallen, we've neglected to give our in-hand opinions on this year's biggest release: Titan Class Trypticon with Necro and Full-Tilt. Counterpunch and Scotty P are proud owners of this dinosaur menace, and talk about their product codes, fixes that were completed, and how the process of stickers went. Plus - if you're driving near I-40 somewhere west of the Mississippi, maybe you'll spot Jon 3.0's wayward Trypticon son. All this and (mostly) everyone forgetting why he's called Trypticon awaits you in this part of the show.
Click the image to check out the full Seibertron.com gallery for Titan Class Trypticon!
As we continue with Titans Return, we take a look ahead to totally rumored releases for Power of the Primes that definitely maybe will happen or won't happen. Are we discussing totally real events that definitely happened? Is the rumor mill one corn short of overloading our meal with pepper? Will this paragraph ever make sense at all? Get your copy of a Clean Desk Policy ready to read between the lines for this part of the program, with one last hint given here by this seriously unrelated image below.
Just play along, ok? Thanks, pals
Ah, The Rebirth. The classic, revered, definitely not rushed out of production five three episode wrap-up to the American version of the G1 cartoon series. Who can forget the superb depth of characterization given to new toys like Six Shot, and the definitely not weird at all part where a little boy becomes Arcee's head. We can finally celebrate the normalcy of that latter part with a new Arcee with "Leinad" toy, as we were able to discuss last episode, but now we can do so while taking pot-shots at Flo Rida. In case you hadn't yet gathered from this post, the episode is called "Wipe-Out" for a reason.
Maybe Leinad is the real Florida.
We haven't forgotten about comics yet, even if you stopped reading. With last week's release of Lost Light #8 still fresh on our minds, we consider the book's plot, characters, and larger message. With huge mysteries inching closer to resolution, be warned that some spoilers within might be particularly rough if you aren't ready or willing to hear them. Wipe-Out even appears for Total Brand Awareness with this podcast! We also take a quick moment to discuss the important and (to most of us) effective real-life message in the book about what it is to be transgender, and speculate on whether this is the final lampshade on Spotlight: Arcee.
Avid Twincast listener Agonizer discusses this episode
We finish things off by totally wiping out with our extra time in a bragging rights segment, then take some parting shots at the not-surprising-but-still-totally-a-bummer pricing of Flame Toys' Drift figure. It's safe to say there's at least one upcoming release unlikely to be featured in this bragging rights segment in the future, but we will accept your kind donations or "review" samples.
Kamui Senketsu?
We hope you enjoy this episode, and stay tuned for another in a week or two right here on Seibertron.com.

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! Join host Scotty 'Winter is Coming' P as he hangs out with Twincast iron throne claimers Counterpunch 'When people ask you what happened here, tell them the fans remember. Tell them winter came for House Hasbro.'' & Tigertrack 'No need to seize the last word Lord Counterpunch, I’ll assume it was something clever.' Joining us as well is news mod from the North, william-james88 'It’s my luck I ended up with a bunch of fire worshippers.' And live from the airport terminal, the current Iron Throne King, Seibertron, shares his experience at this weekend's extravaganza. Listen in as we discuss the reveals from SDCC related to toys, comics, and the future of Transformers.
This was it, a huge weekend for Transformers fans to finally get some new information about the brand. It's been a long time coming. What particularly tickled our fancy from the preview, breakfast, and panel? Listen in to find out as we discuss...and be sure to check out the Seibertron.com SDCC 2017 Events galleries to see even more awesome photos from the event!
Power of the Primes Rodimus Prime and the new 'evolution gimmick'. Is he the flame-decoed space winnebago of our dreams?
The first legit voyager Starscream! Is this figure truly more than meets the eye-- of course it is-- but the podcast discusses just how it might be better than you think.
Next up was the somewhat underwhelming deluxe class reveals: Jazz, Dreadwing and Blackwing.
The return of Pretenders, a perfect peaceful minibot, and the Power of the Primes 'theme' falls into our optical field next... What happened to the rest of our headmasters and targetmasters? Why is Sluglsinger the last new figure in Titans Return (wave 6)? What's going on with the Titans Return Arcee and Titanmaster Ultra Magnus? What? What. What!
We take a few minutes to chew over the con exclusives, GI JOE, and what might be in store for us at HASCON. Has Hasbro started a Revolution?
Our SDCC quest goes into its final evolution as we take the last bit of the podcast or so to discuss IDW at SDCC, Transformers fiction, and the massive reveal of... another entire book starring Thundercracker (playing Starscream). We all hope that Josh-boyfriend and Buster are prominent characters as well. There was some announcement about something called a 'UNICRON' so we talk about what that could be, and finish with a little TF VS. ROM #1 and a lot of Optimus Prime #9 gushing. I'm hoping for a Jon Snow moment for our beloved issue's hero, but am afraid the ending will stay more Ned Stark...This issue was a can't miss.
You did it! You made it to the end, and probably saw the second episode of the new season of Game of Thrones while I was focused on doing this news write-up. Please do not share any spoilers!

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast. Join host Scotty P as he hangs out with Twincast Pros Megatronus & Rotorstorm. Listen in as we discuss the latest news, toys, and more.
Episode #179 "Forever Is a Long Time Coming" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes, Google Play, and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
We kick off the show with our usual case of scattered brains, but eventually home in on one of this year's SDCC quasi-exclusives: Masterpiece Optimus Prime. Available first at the show, this figure will see distribution at Toys R Us. Are we psyched, or will we bid this dear mold farewell?
But new box!
Speaking of Masterpiece, Takara Tomy Mall is coming out with some interesting MP cassettes: Stripes, Nightstalker, Wing Thing and Enemy. We've got the full scoop, but wonder what other cassettes, and MPs, might be in the pipeline.
Drool drool drool.
The Club is again in the news with their unrealized Club ideas featured at Pete's RoboCon. We discuss our favorites, and wonder whether the coming year might have represented a zenith for the Club given its recent string of off years. Maybe, but hey, cool toys.
Winner winner chicken dinner.
Since we're on the topic of conventions, how about a little Hascon for you? We are... really unclear how this is gonna go. Like, totally in the dark. Is this thing for fans, families, buyers? Which fandom will reign supreme in this brand battle royale?
Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
We're back to SDCC, and the true convention exclusives that have and have not yet been revealed, and sense the absence of a large kaiju. We also talk about the recently revealed Walgreens exclusive, and the irksome requirements to complete the clone pairs.
I've been blinded by its sheer beauty.
The toy talk continues with the upcoming Takara Legends figures we haven't yet seen pictures for - and for that reason, move on to Power of the Primes related rumors, and the delightful eHobby blue convoy exclusives which are, in a word, awesome.
Now THAT'S a Prime.
Wait - we're not done! Comics finally come to fore, and we get talking about Lost Light #7 (review here) and Till All Are One #11 (review here). With Till All Are One approaching its conclusion and Lost Light having just finished its first story arc in earnest, how is the crew feeling about these books? Just like with one of the issues in question, the opinions don't all end up being the same!
Sadscream is sad.
Bragging rights - who got cool stuff (everyone)? Also, check out staff member Cobotron's pictorial review of the amazingly awesome MP38, here.
Planet of the Apes?

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast. Transformers: The Last Knight is out now, so join host Scotty P as he hangs out with a merry band that includes Twincast Pros Megatronus, Rotorstorm, Seibertron, Tigertrack, Razorclaw0000, and Mr. Starscream for a discussion of the movie. Did we love it? Should you watch it? You know how to start answering these questions, but just in case you don't, here's how to download:
Episode #178 "The Last Knight: A Twincast Review" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes, Google Play, and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Massive big spoiler warning!
Don't listen to the show until you've watched the movie if you don't want to be spoiled!
Unicron. There, we told you there'd be spoilers. The crew discusses their theater experience - or lack thereof - along with their preferred format. Who went to a special Kabam showing? Who got Optimus Prime Time perks? Did we go for the immersive IMAX experience, and will we go back for a second viewing?
Thanks for the gif, Kabam!
Seibertron gives us on overview of his red carpet experience in Chicago: the stars, the lights, the interviews, and of course, the afterparty. Being press never felt so good. You can find the full gallery of the event here, and Seibertron's summary of the event here.
Who's that handsome fella??
We kick off our discussion of the actual movie with, well, the beginning of the movie. We examine the Arthurian opening battle, which sets the tone for the rest of the movie. Is there a Gaelic translation for Bayhem?
Robots. Knights. Robot Knights. This movie has everything.
The crew can't talk about The Last Knight without talking about Quintessa, MacGuffins, and their relationship to the aligned continuity. Is the integration of ideas from across the Transformers multiverse a welcome addition to the Bayverse? Oh, do we have thoughts.
Solus, is that you?
Cogman. Squeeks. Hot Rod. Baby Dinobots? We discuss each addition to the Transformers movieverse roster, and come to a rare consensus: Cogman may very well be the best thing about this movie. Also, we love headmasters.
Seriously. Our hero.
We finally return to the Unicron question - and where the movie franchise can (im)possibly go from that revelation. We also dive deep into what isn't said. Is Megatron just Galvatron? Has he been resurrected from his severed head in the previous movie? Don't think too hard about it.
You, uh, got a little schmutz on your face there, buddy.
The crew wraps up with some final thoughts. How do we rate The Last Knight compared to the previous Michael Bay TF films? What stuck with us? What are we looking forward to as we forge ahead into this brave, new, post-The Last Knight world? ONWARD TO THE BUMBLEBEE MOVIE!
Sting like a literal bee.
Thanks for listening in. Transformers: The Last Knight is in theaters now so be sure to leave a comment by replying to this post in our Energon Pub Forums to let us know if you agree, disagree, or extra super know we are wrong about the movie.
Whatever your stance, have fun at the cinema!

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast. While we await the release of The Last Knight, host Scotty P sits down with Counterpunch and special guest, Seibertron.com News Staff member Williamjames88 to talk about his recent experience visiting Kabam! studios in Vancouver, BC.
As mentioned, our very own Williamjames88 had the chance to visit the studios of Kabam!, creators of Transformers: Forged to Fight, which is available now to download from the iTunes App Store and Google Play. We start out talking about the visit by taking a quick look at what the game is and learn fun facts about Vancouver. While we chat away, be sure to check out his written run down of the visit, plus a transcription of some Q&A time with the Kabam team, plus yet more other fun information about the game!
Humor to go along with your cool Transformers trip? Why not!
One of the main topics of our discussion is about the transformations of the characters within the game, and how the creators approached it for a platform that's often more restrictive than a console or gaming PC. Counterpunch and Scotty recollect old PS1 era gaming magazines, N64 Beast Wars, and learn that Forged to Fight has nothing to do with these. Plus, we talk about the potential of playing the game on a larger screen.
Beats the generic painting things in your office.
One character that the folks at Kabam were excited about is the iteration of Hot Rod from The Last Knight. With Hot Rod making his way into the game recently, we discuss why they felt like this was a standout character.
Je suis "Street Fighter". I don't know French, I'm sorry.
Repaints: some fans love them, while others are continually frustrated by Hasbro's desire to stretch their budget for tooling and keep consumer costs somewhat controlled. We don't talk about that in this episode, but we do talk about the challenges the creators face in trying to bring in characters traditionally known as "Repaints" like Thundercracker and Skywarp into the game through a rewarding method. While we ponder that, we also consider if move-sets matter in this case, or if a skin can be just a skin.
Above: Rhinox crushing your hopes for Soundblaster.
We wrap up the Forged to Fight talk with thoughts about how long the game can go. With a story to tell that has no ending and just constant "middles" given its very nature, what might the team have in store for players as time goes on? With a solid gameplay engine and even awards rolling in for the project, the future looks bright for mobile fighting fun with your favorite Transformers characters.
We then conclude a somewhat shorter than normal episode by just hanging out and talking about some of the latest and greatest Transformers toys, with no real set agenda for discussion. Sit back, hang out, and hear thoughts from the crew about LG Magna Convoy and how that mold is holding up, Wave 2 Deluxes from The Last Knight, and yes, Scotty P finally got around to opening up Godbomber. Finally.
Not pictured: Convobat's butt.
Stay tuned - in just a few days, we'll have another episode of the Twincast ready to hit your audio receptors as we review Transformers: The Last Knight!

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! This episode features your host ScottyP with xRotorstormx and RodimusConvoy13. Listen in as we discuss the latest news, toys, comics, milkshakes, and more.
Yes, that's right, the Seibertron.com Twincast/Podcast is now available on Google Play! Be sure to subscribe today if this is your podcast platform of choice.
The show starts off with discussions of upcoming Masterpiece figures. First off is Masterpiece Beast Wars Dinobot. We've seen CGI renders of him and we discuss the intricacies of his tail. Will he be happy surrounded by Jurassic Park toys? Who is excited? Who wanted Megatron first?
How'd you like it if I ripped a chunk out of your side?
Next up is MP 39 Sunstreaker. How good looking is this guy? Is this the end all be all of Sunstreaker? Or will we see a better version in a few years? Praises are sung and internet rumors are squashed. Are you excited about this guy too?
Seriously, how many Transformers can actually do this?
We move on to MP 12+ Sideswipe. Are you unsure of the differences? So are we! Get a play by play comparison to the original MP 12 as ScottyP holds his figure up to the new photos. What do you think? Do we need another Sideswipe?
I really am different. Look closely.
And finally, Hasbro is rereleasing MP-10 Optimus Prime as a Toys R Us exclusive. It will share the same packaging and recent MP releases from Hasbro. Is this a good idea on their part? We were a bit surprised by this announcement, but we realize that it's a good thing. What do you think? Are you going to pick one up? Let us know your thoughts in the discussion thread!
You thought I was expensive before?
Next up in our Toy Reveal Marathon, we look at the new Takara Legends figures. Recently announced was Legends Sixshot, Misfire, Doublecross, and Broadside! There's a new head, some Targetmasters, and even a BattleBeast! Hear our thoughts about the differences between these versions and the Hasbro versions. We also discuss some wishful thinking on the part of the fandom.
Ooh, that gray!
ScottyP opens his God Bomber as we record the show, but he's interrupted by a milkshake. Will he ever get back to God Bomber? We've heard some complaints about this guy. Do you have one? Sound off in our forums and let us know what you think of him.
Each sold separately... oh wait!
We now have images of Takara's Trypticon. What are the differences between this one and Hasbro's? We'll tell you. Yes we will. We will tell you. Ok, well, maybe we'll just guess and kind of... Look, it's Trypticon, ok. He's awesome no matter what company puts him out!
Raymond, will you tell Ma I'm not coming to dinner? I'm eating Titan Masters.
Transformers Tribute! Need we say more? Yes. The first announced set in the Transformers Tribute line is a two pack of deluxes. War for Cybertron Optimus Prime and Titans Return Orion Pax. Orion is a repaint of Titans Return Kup with an all new face. RodimusConvoy vents his frustration of not having a clear picture of the face and we discuss what other figures could have been in this set.
How may different Optimus Prime Titan Masters can one line have?
We're coming up on the last leg of our marathon as we get into newly revealed The Last Knight toys. We start out with Cogman and Hot Rod. Cogman is a Titan Master that is completely compatible with Titans Return figures. Hot Rod is not a repaint of Lockdown. We discuss the merits of each figure and how much we like that the two lines are crossing over a bit to appeal to fans. Does the Cogman figure represent what we'll get in the movie? We're not sure. We don't forget about Skullitron, but enthusiasm for him is not as high.
Oh, you Titans Return fans won't be able to resist me.
During the toy discussion ScottyP fills us in on the Hasbro Hangout he was on where he got to see a lot of these new figures and hear the throughs behind them from the creators. Check out his full thoughts here.
At some point, my head will get ripped off in the movie.
Dragonstorm and Nitro were part of the Hangout and we get into a discussion about how Dragonstorm looks like tons of fun. He's a Duocon, sort of. Nitro also looks great and his head can be removed and Cogman can take over his body! Is Nitro based on a real plane? We also don't forget about the Planet in the room! Cybertron Primus has been repainted and will be released as part of the Last Knight line. Scotty reports how the designers came up with the paint scheme. It's fantastic and cool. Ooh, boy, sticker shock though. Cybertron is expensive.
G2? I don't know what you're talking about
The toy talk ends, but we're still on the topic of The Last Knight. As the release date draws near, trailers and TV spots are dropping left and right. Have you been watching them? We talk about our thoughts on the newest clips we've seen and how it has changed our thoughts on the movie. Are the Transformers just pets to the humans? Have we seen this movie four times already? Check out some of the newest clips here and here
Bayhem!!
They've also release some case files that gives us a little info on the Decepticons of the Last Knight. Follow along as we go down the list discussing how each of them will die.
It's not easy being green.
We change gears and head into some comic talk. Transformers Till All Are One has been cancelled. We discuss our feelings on that topic and the various reasons why it was most likely cancelled. The series will end with Issue 12 and an Annual. Check out our review for issue 10 here. The book is great and it's a shame it's ending.
Starscream has been a highlight of this series.
Next we talk about the end of The Lost Light's first story arc. Check out our review of issue 6 here. It was a great ending to the first arc. What do you think? Did Megatron purposely missing the teleporter? Did Terminus mislead him? Did Roller? Has our intrepid band figured out the secret to creating new Cybertronians?
Trigger warning!!
We conclude our episode with some Twincast Freestyle... that ends up being mainly bragging rights. Titans Return Wave 4 Deluxes! Masterpieces! But there's also some grumbling about Robots in Disguise Ultra Bee and Crash Combiners. They're not all they're cracked up to be.
They don't love me.
That may have been a bit of a rough ride, so thanks for sticking it out! We'll be back in few weeks with our all Last Knight Review episode! Don't listen unless you see the movie! Or do! That's great too!

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! This episode features your host Megatronus with xRotorstormx and special guests Mr. Starscream and Dr. Va'al. Listen in as we discuss the latest news, toys, and more.

First up on the chopping block is Transformers: The Last Knight, coming to a theater near you in just one short month. There's a new international trailer out, and we dissect it for new details, plot points, and anything else we can spoil for our (soon to be not so) loyal audience.
We need a trailer for this trailer...
In the context of the trailer, we mention a few interesting articles in Empire magazine, including an interview with TLK producer Ian Bryce and some of the TLK writers. What tidbits do we take away, and how does this new information color our understanding of how the TLK sausage is made?
Surprise!!! It's Bumblebee!
After our thorough discussion of the movie itself, we move on to one of the quirkier aspects of modern movie culture: promos. There's the Chinese Coca-Cola raffle, the Singaporean Coca-Cola steelcase, and Japan's 7-11 Dark Optimus exclusive. Also, international distribution is weird. We're totally feeling the zaniness.
Product placement to the rescue!
This all leads to a discussion on how these contests, and international distribution generally, is a function of Transformers being marketed to an overseas population where dedicated collecting is less a phenomenon. With a Screen Rant piece about Wonder Woman as our guide, we achieve total brand awareness.
That's good marketing.
On to comics: specifically, Lost Light #5. You can find the Seibertron.com review of this issue here. How does the Twincast crew feel about the Functionist Universe, and are we on board with Rung's newly revealed abilities? Where's Orion Pax? Is Terminus a good addition, or does he just need to shut up?
Today shall now and forever be known as Brainstorm Day.
Optimus Prime #7 is next on the chopping block. You can find the Seibertron.com review of the issue here. We take a slight turn towards the political (in a non-partisan matter, we assure you), and discuss bias and the way that real world concerns seep into the content of this surprisingly compelling story. Also, Jazz.
That Matrix is definitely messing with Optimus' brain.
We conclude with our freestyle segment: what's everyone going to bring to the table this time? Rotorstorm's all about Toxitron, Dr. Va'al points us to Lindsay Ellis & her TF-related video essays, Mr. Starscream's planning his own con, and Megatronus <3 Sharkticons.
This is another seriously brilliant video essay!

Welcome to the latest episode of the Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast! This episode features your host ScottyP cutting loose with Megatronus and Seibertron on this, that, the other, and Transformers, too. Buckle up for a journey because this one goes to several points on your map without looking back.
Episode #174 "Autobot Jedi Newtypes" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes, Google Play, and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.

Some of your Revenge of the Fallen toys, like Bludgeon and Demolishor, are screwed. Melt your time away as you listen to a terrible explanation of what's happening, then come back here and take a look at the scourge of "Plasticizer Migration". Yes, that's science. They're screwed, sorry!
Our attention then turns to the recently launched toy line-up for the forthcoming Transformers: The Last Knight. With several toys in hand, we first turn our attention to this latest rendition of Barricade. This Deluxe Class standout protects, punishes, serves, and enslaves our attention. We chat about the unlisted "riot shield" feature, other quirks of the mold, and more!
Keep calm and just end this meme already, please.
We don't stay there for long, because there's fun all over the universe to talk about. A short history lesson on Rom (The Space Knight) kicks off some further discussions that range from anecdotes on G1 Ultra Magnus, to Marvel UK, Death's Head, and even Marvel Legends. The agenda gets tossed in the garbage as we kick back and just have a good time talking about whatever's on our minds.
Yeah you better watch out, 1987!
Eventually, the train gets back on the rails and the show segues into last week's excellent Till All Are One #9. Windblade's condition is ominous but the ultimate outcome looks to be somewhat spoiled, but that doesn't stop us from praising the other excellent parts of the book. These include the absolutely brilliant work going on with Starscream, as well as the continued introduction of the story of The Thirteen within the IDW Transformers Universe.
We'll take all your compliments.
Optimus Prime #6 comes up next, as the first story arc of the comic comes to its conclusion. Megatronus and Scotty P look into things such as Prime's decisions, precise points of climax (stop giggling), and what effect things here may have on the wider IDW Hasbro Universe. There's also some quick look at Wrath of Karza, plus a glance to other upcoming events such as First Strike.
But Plasticizer Migration can stop anytime it wants.
Eventually we do get back around to The Last Knight toys, with the other new mold/standout from the initial launch discussed in Voyager Class Optimus Prime. There's also speculation about the differences between the Takara and Hasbro product lines for this movie, and whether or not "differences" is the right word. Will you be the one to take the plunge and let the world know what's the same and what isn't? If you're smart, probably not, but if you do know of any reasons for your fellow fans to double-dip, why not leave a comment about it by replying to this post?
The latest way to chew bubblegum and take faces.
Things then get a little... cute? That's right, the Tiny Turbo Changers are here to brighten your day. Or are they just really angry? Grab your blind bags and hold on as we pick out our favorites based on their cute-factor and take a short look ahead to Series Two in this super かわいい segment!
Welcome to your doom! It's very cute and cozy in here.
Masterpiece figures for the Movies are moving full steam ahead, with Optimus Prime joining the ranks very soon. With the official reveal behind us, the crew ruminates on whether or not the stock photography is an effective indication of what to expect - the toy is clearly mis-transformed, but just how badly? It all comes down to blaming interns, probably Kevin. Kevin wasn't the star of the intern class, ok, but he tries hard and makes some mean french toast so we'll let this mistake slide like short smokestacks.
Meet the new design, same as the old design?
We then go very, very far out off-topic, but after some remarks about Game of Thrones, Star Wars, and even Mobile Suit Gundam, things come back around to Transformers and in particular, the live action films. Just what do we want to see out of these characters? How have the recent movies tackled it, and has the series ever gotten it right? While you listen in, be sure to also check out Counterpunch's thought provoking prompt in this thread on our Energon Pub Forums!
There's more to characters than their mere existence.
The show closes out with the Twincast freestyle, but with all the free-styling that's already happened, it really just ends up being "Bragging Rights" for the first time in a while. Podcasters buying things from other podcasters? Yeah, basically. That happened thanks to the magic of eBay bucks.
No orange plug required, just a big orange barrel.
We'll be back soon for more Transformers talk. Be sure to let us know what you thought of this episode by replying to this post. If you enjoyed the show, it always helps us out if you share a link to it on social media - don't forget the hashtags #Twincast and #Transformers when you do!

Buckle up with ScottyP, Dr Va'al, and Razorclaw0000 as we get launched head first from a falling Titan straight into your homes.
Episode #173 "Crossing The Rubicon" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Be aware that this episode is entirely about IDW Transformers comics and will completely spoil many storylines from several books, including many books before Till All Are One Issues 5-8, so listening after catching up with the most recent material is recommended if you wish to avoid spoilers.
We start with issue 5, "PING", discussing where the issue fits in the larger timeline around Revolution. We discuss the council meeting and politics, character designs, and the build-up of tensions from Titans Return. We further dig into the desperation of Windblade's awakening and transformation of Metroplex.
Till All Are Political?
We move onto issue 6, "Desperate Times", and the fast-paced action of the legion of undead Titans literally raining into Cybertron. We discuss the pace, obscure characters, and climax of the book and the foreshadowing it accomplishes despite the dialog-light splash pages.
Till All Are Squished
Coming to the penultimate issue of the arc, we discuss issue 7, "Desperate Measures". This issue ramps up the action, and we're discussing all of it, from Devastator and Strika, to Windblade and company's daring mission into Carcer, highlighting some of the lush artwork and edgy layouts pushing the artistic style even further. We discuss the implications in the larger lore, especially the Covenant of Primus, dropped in the final panels.
Till All Are NOT Squished
Finally, we wrap up with the bombshell of issue 8, "Rubicon", chewing on the title and its meaning, as well as the major reveal in this book. We discuss the narrative and artistic risks and payoff, future books and world building, art styles and heritage, and much more.
Till All Are Hacked
We digest a bit on the arc as a whole, including discussing upcoming issues and covers as well as the trade paper back release.

You didn't even notice if I was there.
Episode #172 "Ready For Launch" is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on iTunes and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
As we move closer to the release of Transformers: The Last Knight, a new trailer, Nemesis, has dropped. Check it out here along with a gallery of over 1600 HD screen caps from the trailer. We discuss what is new and whether this trailer has peaked our interest even more Why is it called Nemesis? Is Optimus Evil? Was seeing Quintessa a big spoiler or will general audiences have any idea who she is? We speculate wildly and we're probably wrong, but only time will tell.
Everyone is always sweaty and dirty in Michael Bay's world.
Another timely topic is brought up after the trailer talk. The Last Knight Movie Toy Launch Day! We've gotten info from Hasbro that the release date for the new Movie Toy line is Monday, April 24th. We give our expert advice on what to look out for on Launch Day. What has our past experiences taught us? Should you buy all the toys immediately or take your time? What happens if you clean out one store? Launch Day can be a lot of fun, so grab a friend and head out. We also discuss what we're most looking forward to in this first wave. What is on our shopping list?
Take me home, ScottyP!
Next up is a Transformers Superstar(and social media pariah apparently), Takara MP-36 Megatron! Scotty tells us about the amazing engineering of this hugely anticipated figure. We discuss the initial reactions of fans on social media and some of the various "flaws" that were reported. Did the internet blow things out of proportion? We talk how it is ok to use the instructions. They're included for a reason. All in all this is a fantastic figure with great accessories. Let us know what you think in the discussion thread!
Seriously, do you need him in any other pose?
We move on to Takara Legends Target Master Kup. Oh, Kup, does anyone really know what color you are? Are you green, gray, blue, teal, greenish gray, grayish green, greenish blue? What color are you? We talk about what version we like better. Was it bad photography or did Takara change their mind?
At my age, never trust a backfire out your tailpipe.
We also got a new trailer for Robots In Disguise Season 3. Listen as Scotty is disappointed in his podcast mates for not watching the trailer or show. We discuss how they'll handle combining in the RiD universe. Will the 'Bots learn to work together? We also see the introduction of some old fan favorites like Soundwave. How has he changed since his days in Transformers: Prime?
So basically they took the Prime version and mixed with the Animated version of me. Then G1-ized my voice.
We move on to a listener question from Seibertronian Amelie. She asks: Should characters that were "similar" in G1 always be used as remolds\redecos in modern lines? (Soundwave\Blaster and Ironhide\Ratchet, for example) This is a great question and one not easily answered. We get differing opinions depending on the characters and also what version of the characters? Is Energon Ironhide the same character as G1 Ironhide? Some figures can just be repaints of each other because that's been the precedence, but would you accept totally new versions of the characters with completely unrelated alt modes? Find out what we think and join us to discuss this more on the boards! As always, if you have questions for us, submit them to the Ask the Twincast Thread.
Grr.. this guy...
We had a couple of new items pop up shortly before the show. The first being IDW's newest Hasbro property cross over "First Strike" It looks to be another take on Transformers vs GI JOE. Baron Ironblood and Cobra set out to exterminate the Cybertronians. GI JOE teams up with Optimus Prime's team to fight back. Find out what our thoughts are on this new announcement. This crossover has already sparked a lot of discussion on the boards - are you excited for it?
Too many hew-mons!
The next new bit of information is Hasbro's "Reveal Your Shield" Transformers Celebration. Hasbro encourages you to "reveal your shield" via social media, Transformers.com, or the Transformers app. What will we see? New toys are nearly a given. What else will there be?
No, man, you're not getting reissued. It's reveal YOUR shield, not "the".
Finally, we end the show with a new segment called "Blast from the Past." We tell you about some older toys that we've "rediscovered" recently. We've got figures ahead of their time, G1, Beast Wars Metals, and obscure 90's toys! Find out what we love about them, then let us know what you've recently "rediscovered" in the discussion thread!
I feel pretty, oh so pretty. And stabby!
We'll be back unusually soon for more fun and discussion, and who knows what else - 'Til all are One, or is that 'Till'?
