Constructicons, Combine! Wreckers, Combine! Dinobots, Combine?
That's right, Transformers customizer frenzy_rumble takes us to a place where no one has gone before. Grimlock, Slag, Sludge, Swoop and Snarl, all combining into one massive behemoth called
Extinction. Words can't do this masterpiece justice, so if you haven't checked Extinction before, you don't know what you're missing out on!
Extinction isn't just one jumble of plastic like ROTF Supreme Devastator. No, frenzy_rumble has engineered the Dinobots to combine, as well as transform between robot and alternate mode! Check out
Grimlock,
Slag,
Sludge,
Swoop and
Snarl individually.

If you haven't noticed yet the Chinese love Transformers, with numerous conventions and toy expos the occasional car race in Bumblebee clones and of course giant statues made from metal.
Taking a bunch of junk and welding it together to construct giant Transformers statues seems to be something of a new national pas time in China as two new ones have popped up in the last few days.
The first is a statue made by a bunch of students that seems to be inspired by movie Optimus Prime:
Read up on it by clicking

And now the newest sighting, a giant Movie verse Optimus Prime:
This thing is 10 meters tall and stands at the Bird’s Nest at Beijing Olympic Park check out more images by clicking

So any guesses at when the Chinese start building real Transformers out of boredom?

At this year's BotCon it was revealed that we'd be getting
Deluxe Thunderwing in the Generations toy line. However that wasn't the only appearance from the G1 Pretender at this year's convention, as Energon Pub member and Transformers customizer
dak entered BotCon's Customization contest with his
IDW-based Thunderwing custom. You might not recognize it from the pictures, but the figure uses Cybertron Supreme Class Starscream as a base. Check out this enormous masterpiece below!

For Transformers customizers, it's about turning dreams into reality. From pencil to plastic, customizer
Encline Designs has transformed Don Figueroa's defunct Rolling Thunder Optimus Prime art into a Transformers behemoth. From a non-transforming
GI Joe figure to a 27" tall transforming masterpiece, we've watched Encline's project from it's very start. Now it's finally finished and he presents to us, perhaps the biggest Transformer ever made. If you have yet to see this, feast your eyes on
Rolling Thunder Prime!
This baby ain't staying with Encline, so check out the figure's auction on
Ebay!

Omega Supreme: popular. This custom figure: exceptional. Colons: ubiquitous.
Way back in the early days of G1 Omega Supreme was the biggest Autobot around and a worthy foil to Devastator. He was the Autobots' space transport, artillery and model train set* all at the same time! Recently he's seen a bit of a revival what with the Encore line, Animated and War For Cybertron. It's about time the ultimate partsformer had a bigger part!
Thankfully talented customiser and Seibertron member uuser has added to our
Transtopia Masterclass with his excellent custom Omega.
You can see more images and read in uuser's own words about this project in the forums
here. And please share your own Transformers projects in the
Transtopia Forums.

It can't be helped. History shows that Black Optimus Prime repaints have been fan favorites, and their allure has been missing in the last few Transformers toy lines. Another edition of
Transtopia Masterclass showcases another Optimus Prime repaint, however this one's for
Nemesis Prime, instead of Scourge. Seibertron.com member and customizer blacklion29 used one of Hasbro's newest figures;
Cybertronian Optimus Prime, and this custom's quite the looker. Check it out for yourself below!

With the recent licensing in Transformers lines, any use of an Optimus Prime figure as a character other than Optimus Prime has been prevented. The last time an Optimus Prime figure was remade into a Decepticon was
Classics Nemesis Prime, and we've been through several toy lines since then! Energon Pub member and customizer Toyphilia decided that the leader of the Autobots needed to be back in black, and what better way to do it than by using ROTF Leader Class Optimus Prime. The figure is tainted with a little evil, the black hues and lighting decals signifying the essence of the Decepticon called
Scourge. To top it all off, Scourge comes with his trademark sword and trailer. Check out toyphilia's masterpiece below!

Since his coinage of the phrase and his subsequent death, Rotorstorm has been sorely missed in the
Last Stand of the Wreckers. The series started off with an introduction to four new Wreckers, rather ambiguous Transformers characters - Pyro, Ironfist, Rotorstorm and Guzzle. Captivated by Rotorstorm's character, and since
Generation One Rotorstorm is a tad outdated, Seibertron.com member and customizer tsangkin decided to make a tribute to the Wrecker. Out of
2007 Movie Incinerator comes Rotorstorm as 'Wrecker Strategician', similar to FansProject's play with their version of Springer as 'Defender'.
tsangkin has even gone the extra distance, making a box for Strategician, similar to FansProject's Defender. Feel free to check out the beauty below, while the rest of the custom can be seen over at our
Energon Pub forums!
