This is kind of two news pieces in one. Firstly, there are new Transformers themed toys at Walmart, in the form of the officially licensed Transformers metal minifigures from Jada. This set has 18 figures of G1 characters all made of die cast metal and they measure a little less than 2 inches in height. While these sets have an MSRP of $25 USD (like this GI Joe set here), this set was priced at only $12 USD. This is a pricing error since this same set is still on preorder at Amazon.com for the MSRP price. There is only one sighting so far, posted on the Transformers Addict Facebook page, where this was found in Texarkana, AR, so we do not know if this is the same price you'll see at your local Walmart when you find it. Seibertron is revving up gallery production again! As always, they're the most comprehensive, striking galleries around, and this time, he's going all the way back to G2! Given that the just released Legacy line has a Leader class figure of the Autobot commander Optimus in an updated version of his G2 form (which you can see a gallery of here), it seemed only natural to create galleries of the bot who inspired it.
In these new galleries, we not only get Legacy Leader Prime's inspiration, 1995's G2 Laser Optimus Prime (and all his light-up gimmick glory) , but we get a couple of rare redecos of the mold. The rarest version of that G2 mold is Laser Ultra Magnus, released by e-hobby back in 2006. The Laser Ultra Magnus figure came in a box meant for Laser Prime, and even included his stickers. It used the tooling of the original redeco of the mold, RID Scourge, but was a completely different deco based on G1 Ultra Magnus' inner robot. The next is of Year of the Goat Optimus Prime, a partially translucent plastic version of the mold released in 2015 in the Platinum Edition line (which still included the light up electronic features).

How's that for a headline? We had reported on a Hasbro exclusive being behind an NFT paywall, and the community was wondering how long it would take for the same to happen to a Transformers exclusive. Well, this is getting closer to there. The Funko Pop website is advertising an NFT drop of 360000 Transformers NFTs on March 15th. You have samples of the NFTs on the website. It is unclear if you can purchase them without a crypto wallet.
Now, among the 360000 NFTs, there are around 9,596 which come with a token you can use to redeem an exclusive Funko Pop toy. The exclusives are below. So, just to be clear, buying a set of these NFTs means you only get a chance at getting a physical Funko Pop toy, over 90% of purchases will result in just NFTs. This is like those sports cars packs where you have a chance at there being a special rare card (like on that is autographed or has a piece of a game worn jersey) inside. But at least with the card example, you still get cards regardless. Here, you have less than a 10% chance at owning something physical.
And yes, I wrote the same thing twice in different ways, I just want this nonsense to be clear.
This is some pretty cool news. Do you still see those periodicals in Walmarts and Newsstands where the first "volume" has a very low introductory price encouraging you to pick up the whole set as it continues? Well a new type of periodical like this is being offered in France where by the end you get to build a 20 inch Optimus Prime figure from the first Bay film with metal parts and lights. The first "volume" has Optimus Prime's head as well as a booklet and is only 1 euro. We have a French video below showing you the parts and building involved with the head.
Promo Bricks is a fansite for Lego and it is reporting that there could be a Transformers Lego set coming rather soon. This would be set aimed at collectors with quite the hefty price point, featuring Optimus Prime. The full details are below. This might be in conjunction with the Rise of the beat film which was supposed to come out at the same time as this set, and Lego has been very well known not to sit on product.

Kotobukiya's Bishoujo series of statues has been going on for a while and recently took on some Hasbro properties, like My Little Pony, where you have a "beautiful girl" version of cartoon characters who may or may not be human or female. Now that line is adding Transformers to the mix where you will have a human girl version of Optimus Prime and Megatron. Below is the blurb that accompanies the video reveal.

Thanks to the ThreeZero Facebook page, we have our first look at one of their newest offerings in the Deluxe size class, Transformers The Last Knight Optimus Prime!
Optimus appears here in the knight body style he picked up in Age of Extinction and held onto for The Last Knight. This body has been difficult for toys to replicate, so this is quite possibly the best looking figure this Prime design will ever get. Optimus got a single teaser image, showing him standing stoic with his sword. He looks to continue the trend of high levels of detail, paint work, and attention to the CAD file as has become common with the ThreeZero figures.
While we have no hard release date yet or a price, ThreeZero did indicate Prime is meant to come out this year, following the release of The Last Knight Bumblebee who is meant to see release this year as well.

Fellow Seibertron user, D-Maximal_Primal, has let us know that over on Twitter, user @TFsquareone has uploaded an image that purports to show the box for the forthcoming Takaratomy Transformers Masterpiece Gattai MPG Shouki figure!
While the image of the box doesn't show any new images if the toy (it consists of a promotional piece wear already seen and a picture of the alt mode) the shape and size of the box does hint that Shouki will be packaged in its train alt mode.

The Good Smile Company has some new Transformers themed products for both fans of the brand and of this highly collectible line of super deformed figures. While we had Bayverse Transformers in this line before, we recently got Optimus and now they fully reveal Megatron. He will be available in a variety of online specialty retailers including their own site. He and Optimus retail for $54.99.
With no official word from Takaratomy about Masterpiece Cliffjumper, this next story should be taken with a grain of salt.
The Japanese Transformers fan blog Autobase Aichi has reported on news that was originally found on Chinese social media, that of a comparison between the potential Masterpiece Cliffjumper figure, and the figure it shares parts with, MP-45 Bumblebee.
