Thanks to fellow fan, collector and Seibertronian, Cyberpath, we have new official images of Legends (what we call Generations/Combiner Wars) Car Robots Black Convoy/RID (2001) Scourge and Armada Megatron to feast upon!
The images come from the official Takara Tomy Twitter feed and feature the Black Convoy/Scourge/Nemesis Prime color scheme on the G2 Optimus Prime mold from 2010's Reveal The Shield, as well as Leader Class Armada Megatron from the currently released Combiner Wars line. (You can see Prime's gallery here and Megatron's gallery here.)
Both figures are Tokyo Toy Show 2015 exclusives and the information pertaining to their limitations and pricing can be seen below:
Armada Megatron is 7,500 JPY ($62.13 USD) with a limit of 2 per person and Black Convoy is 3,500 JPY ($28.99 USD) with a limit of 1 per person.

Via a number of sources, but traced back to movie dedicated website Deadline, there are reports coming in of a new batch of script writers for the expanded Transformers cinematic universe (under Paramount's aegis). Standing out from the reports is the presumed involvement of The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, Pacific Rim's Zak Penn, Iron Man's Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Lost's Jeff Pinkner. EXCLUSIVE: Two months after Paramount and the Transformers brain trust of Michael Bay, Steven Spielberg and Lorenzo di Bonaventura picked Akiva Goldsman to incubate ideas for a multi-part sequel and spinoff films based on the billion-dollar franchise, they have finalized their “writers room.” And it’s a doozy.
Goldsman’s four-team roster features some of the top names in sci-fi, I’ve learned: Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, Iron Man scribes Art Marcum & Matt Holloway, Pacific Rim 2‘s Zak Penn and Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Lost‘s Jeff Pinkner. I’m hearing the ink isn’t even dry on the deals, but that is a major-league lineup to join Goldsman, who is spearheading it all for the studio, Hasbro, Spielberg and Bay (Bay and Goldsman were college buddies at Wesleyan). More writers will be added.
This is a major priority for new Motion Picture Group President Marc Evans, who’s tasked with getting more movies made. It marks an intriguing new step as studios put even more of a premium on the care and feeding of tentpole franchises, as is the case with James Cameron’s Avatar sequels and Disney’s process for developing its Marvel tentpoles.

Additional Hasbro Titles Including G.I. Joe and Transformers: Rescue Bots Launch Later 2015
NEW YORK (April 28, 2015) – Vimeo today announced a collaboration with Hasbro Studios to offer digital collections of classic animation series from the Hasbro Classic Collection, including fan favorites Transformers: Generation 1and Jem – both available now on Vimeo On Demand. Just had an update for the ios version of the game. Said it was for small fixes to make the game even better.
However, it seems to be the update Android users have been enjoying for a while.
Seems to have delivered the same updated features including:
Updated Map.
New trophy.
Tweaks to the city based levels to highlight bridge switches.
Bots have been rearranged in the barracks and two new ones are shadowed out.
That's not all, the Rovio Entertainment YouTube channel has posted a new video to promote this update, and you can watch the video in the embed below:

The Official Transformers YouTube channel has updated with a brand new Designer Desk video aimed at Australia, giving us another peek into the Aerialbots and Stunticons, AKA Superion and Menasor. This is not the first they've been featured in the Designers Desk video series, as we've just recently reported on their appearance, which you can read about here.

The official Transformers Youtube channel has posted two new Designer Desk videos, featuring designer John Warden and this time, their focus is on Superion and Menasor.
In both videos, Mr. Warden gives us a little peek behind the curtain mixed with a little bit of "How It's Made" in which he discusses the enjoyment he had in helping to bring these characters to life in plastic and shows off a few of the designers notes as to their inspiration on some of the design choices. For example, Menasor's horns came to be after receiving a bit of inspiration from Viking Gods!

During the Hasbro 2015 Q1 Earnings Conference Call held earlier today, Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner, talks about the Transformers Cinematic Universe and their plans for Transformers 5 in 2017. In the Q&A section of the conference call, Analyst Drew Crum from Stifel Financial Corp. asked "Any update on a Transformers sequel film?"
Here is Brian Goldner's response
Sure. Our plan right now with the studio and film makers, you may have read something about some writers being hired. We have in fact brought in a to lead a group of writers to really create a strategic plan around Transformers many we think there's any number of stories to be told. It's a brand that's been around for 30 years with amazing Cannon and mythology. We would expect the sequel to transformer movie to happen in 2017.
Hasbro shares are up 12.38% to $74.06 since it's close of $65.89 on Friday reaching a new record high since the announcements of their 2015 Q1 Earnings this morning and adding more then $700 Million to the company's market valuations!
