Current Status - Recovering from a Spiritual Conversion with the Oracle
Position: Combat Officer
Formerly known as Back-up
Team - Unique Name was in desperate need of new members. Exemplar was the lone Autobot standing. The Autoboticons were proving to be a big asset but they had many problems when it came to their personalities. They needed some backup and they needed it big time.
Exemplar was just coming out the CR Chamber when a transmission came through. A single Autobot was battling a squadron of Decepticons by himself!
Remembering the example put forth by his teammates, he set out to assist this foolhardy 'bot. When he got to the battle he sent out a distress call in case he needed some backup of his own. But he soon saw it was pointless.
The Autobot was sitting upon a throne of now lifeless hunks of metal. He had taken on an entire battalion by himself and survived.
While arrogant and a loner, Back-Up knew he would need a team to back him up when he got into a situation he could not fight his way out of. After learning the history of Team - Unique Name, he immediately told Exemplar he was joining. No need to give anyone a chance to change their mind.
They wanted new blood. They got new blood.
The events that took the team away from the Autobots and into the arms of the Maximals have caused Back-up to question his place in the universe. After conversing with the entity known as the Oracle, Back-up learned of the plight that Optimus Primal (now of the Rat Pack) went through for peace. He learned how violence isn't always the answer. Confused, he left the Oracle's presence and went back to headquarters. When he got there he saw it in ruins.
Optimal Prime was sitting in the common room - alone. When Back-up tried to ask him what was wrong all he got was silence. The rage began to boil up inside when he heard the calm words of the Oracle coursing through his spark. Instead of pummeling Optimal he offered many kind words. It was through those words that he learned of the sacrifice of Sneaks and the disappearance of Cheetron. He learned of the upcoming storm that Cheetron feared. He offered to help Optimal Prime train but again got no answer.
Back-up went back to the Maximal front lines. He knew of only one way to train - to fight. It was there that he ran into the one person who could help him - Optimus Primal himself.
Optimus Primal talked to back-up a lot about the Beast Wars and the later adventures on the organic moon of Cybertron. He spoke of how violence is not a choice he liked to make but it was necessary when others were in danger. You had to fight for what was right, to fight for what you believe in. Back-up was still fighting the rage that had been deep inside of him since his first day online.
He was lead back to the Oracle chamber by Optimus. It was there that he was to undergo a spiritual conversion. To be shown the true light by the Oracle. The only condition was that Back-up had to give up his old war-like ways. Back-up thrust his shoulders back and threw off his missile tank alt mode. Optimus smiled and put a hand on the spark compartment of Back-up. They both became engulfed in a bright light.
Out of the light came 2 gentle gorillas. One White, one red. Optimus granted him an alt mode similar to his own. It was a reminder of how no matter how powerful you are; you don't have to resort to violence.
The red gorilla walked into the chamber and closed the doors.
2 Cycles later...
The doors to the chamber finally open. A big red gorilla emerges from within. He has 2 things on his mind. His team and how he can protect them. He is now called Fall Back for a reason. When his team is in trouble he not only has got your back, he'll make the enemy Fall Back...
May the Oracle shine her mercy down upon them all...
