Gotta agree with you there, the 2007 Fracture will also be my choice for Crasher on my shelves until such time as she gets her own mold, which she deserves

I've got a feeling that it'll be a long time (if ever) that crasher does get her own mold. Chances are she'll always share it with multiple characters, like how Mirage has shared his with Crasher twice now.

Perhaps, but if so, I'm sure a better, shared version will also come out down the line.

One could argue Golden Disk Road Ranger does, since he's the only release of that mold to feature the toy-based Huffer head.

But that's also kinda cheating. So far the only GoBot they've done real justice to is Crasher, for better or worse. Bugbite and Road Ranger are based on their G1 repaints so it's hard to say they're GoBots done right when they aren't based on their original figures, not even a little bit. Crasher is the only GoBot they've done based on an original GoBot design so that isn't a great track record.

Personally I think the only thing the two Mirage repaints do right is the colors. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd rather have accurate car AND colors and inaccurate bot mode (PotP Jazz) over figures that only get the colors right (Mirage repaints).

And yes, I own Fracture and will be getting Velocitron Crasher.

Well that looks... pretty okay. I can dig it. Hopefully the toy accurate collectors like it. I'm happy with regular version

I'm honestly not sure why this is needed so soon after SS86 release, maybe it's because the mold was readily available but they really should learn the concept of distance between such reuse. Some of these molds feel like they're wearing out their welcome in the meantime actual reissues people actually need take what feels an eternity. lol

Or not make bonehead decisions like only packing Cosmos 1 per case!!!

As a Hot Rod/Rodimus collector, I am very happy with this.

I don't get why SS86 would even be fetching that much on ebay in the first place, not too long ago you could get him on sale for only $25 at several places, plus he's still currently available to order at the regular online shops for retail.

SECONDED. it is barely even a repaint. not enough to double dip or replace the ss one. Crasher I am still very excited for, even if I would have liked a slightly different head sculpt. Like I need another Hot rod. I've got the window package windowless package, basic hot rod with sword, mega rodimus.

I've got to assume at some point, possibly soon, we'll get a green Warpath and blue Cosmos for Treds and Pathfinder.

Anyone else notice that Crasher's box art is based on the Siege Mirage mold while the figure is based on the Earthrise version?

I like that Hot Rod, really cool color scheme there

I may be in the minority here, I actually like this Hot Rod repaint more than the original, I like the shades of red and orange they've used a lot more, and I probably will swap out my Studio Series Hot Rod for this one. Shadowstrip and Crasher look nice as well, but I'm not interested enough in G2 or Go-Bots to buy either of them. I do wonder if they'll go the whole hog with G2 Stunticons though, that recently leaked "Robo WLD RDR" product listing makes me think they will (as much as it would be cool and everything, I really don't think that product listing is X-Brawn with his Japanese name Wildride like some have speculated). They could always stick G2 Motormaster in the Shattered Glass line if there's no room for a Commander in Veloctrion Speedia 500.

I like the toy color Hot Rod, but not more than the movie color Hot Rod. While I'll probably cave Shadowstrip I can't find a reason to purchase this Hot Rod.

For me, one use of the SS86 Hot Rod mold is enough since I still find the TR mold more fun to play with overall. Shadowstrip is the one I'm most interested in, since I'm a sucker for G2.

I have always enjoyed our Mirage with a hatch over the cockpit. Though the above image is not a fully closed hatch it's pretty damn close and I felt it was best for the Classics mold and the Siege mold.

G2 Drag Strip didn't originally have "Shadow" in his name either.

Okay, yeah. I'm getting that Hot Rod.
I didn't get the original so I'm happy there's one that leans more towards toy-accuracy. I like that they used tampographs to mimic the old stickers, too!

The yellow hinge on the roof means I can easily skip Hot Rod. Crasher is a must-have, Shadowstrip is tempting but I'm not sure I want to go down the rabbit hole of G2 combiners.
